Chaotic Sword God

As Jian Chen made his way to the mountaintop, it was not peaceful outside the Skyscraping World.

At this moment, the Scholar Capital Master who sat in the cold and dark space opened his eyes once again. He could not hide his anxiety.

He calculated the time. Who knew how many times he had repeated that. His knitted eyebrows remained furrowed.

“If I look at the time, more than half of the Skyscraping World’s opening has elapsed already…” the Scholar Capital Master murmured. After he spent several decades waiting here, each passing day felt like agonising torture to him. He was worried about the situation on the Modest Silence Heaven, but he was also concerned about the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing that he had nurtured after all that difficulty.

“Nothing is more important than my Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. As for the situation on the Modest Silence Heaven, hopefully the Dreaming Autumn Nun can last a little longer.” The Scholar Capital Master sighed inside.

At this moment, a streak of light shot through the darkness, reaching him with unbelievable speed.

“Hmm? The Scholar Capital Master of the Modest Silence Heaven!” An elderly voice rang out from the light. Then the light subsided and revealed an old man in long, black robes.

He had a slender figure, radiating with sword intent. His body contained a tremendous amount of energy, so even a casual gesture of his had the power to destroy stars.

He was a Fifth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. He grasped the Laws of the Sword, so his attacks were sharp and decisive. As a result, his battle prowess already rivalled some relatively ordinary Sixth Heavenly Layer experts.

“Scholar Capital Master, what are you doing so far away here instead of watching over the Modest Silence Heaven?” the old man in black robes asked.

“So it’s the ancestor of the Sword Sect of Jade Clouds from the Cloud Extent Heaven, the Cloud Furnace Master. Why’d you leave the Sword Sect of Jade Clouds and come all the way here?” the Scholar Capital Master replied with a similar question.

When he heard that, the Cloud Furnace Master immediately erupted with killing intent. He said coldly, “I personally established a medicinal garden in the Skyscraping World. The several dozen high grade God Tier heavenly resources growing in there had all been gathered arduously by me after many years. Each one of them is extremely rare, yet in the end, these heavenly resources have all been stolen by some clueless kid. I’ve personally come here to intercept him at the entrance.”

When he heard that, the Scholar Capital Master’s expression could not help but change. “They’ve already reached high grade God Tier, so why did you keep them in the Skyscraping World? Don’t tell me you wanted these heavenly resources to continue evolving?”

“It’s because these heavenly resources are extremely special. They cannot be preserved over long periods of time. No matter how you store them, they’ll only last ten thousand years. After that, their effects will gradually bleed away. I prepared these resources to refine a supreme God Tier pill to increase my chances of breaking through once I had reached the peak of my current realm of cultivation. The day I need that pill refined might be several hundred thousand years in the future. If I stored them in jade boxes, less than a tenth of their effects would have remained.”

“Due to the geography of my Sword Sect of Jade Clouds, the spiritual Qi there is quite violent, which is unsuited for these heavenly resources. As a result, with no other choice, I was forced to move these heavenly resources into the Skyscraping World, using its environment to preserve their efficacy.”

“The Skyscraping World only opens once every several hundred thousand years. Whenever it opens, the people who enter aren’t particularly strong. I’ve set up a powerful formation, which cannot be breached with their strength. As a result, it could be said that the heavenly resources were extremely safe inside.”

“Furthermore, our Sword Sect of Jade Clouds has very few enemies in the Immortals’ World. Who would take on the risk of offending our Sword Sect of Jade Clouds just to go after these heavenly resources?”

Reaching there, the Cloud Furnace Master’s voice was filled with great confidence. That was confidence in his strength and reputation.

“Cloud Furnace Master, you underestimate the cultivators of the world far too much. In the Immortals’ World, there is no shortage of enthusiastic people who are willing to gamble their lives for the sake of an opportunity.” The Scholar Capital Master sighed gently. When he heard about the Cloud Furnace Master’s encounter, he immediately felt sympathy.

“Yeah, that was indeed a miscalculation on my behalf. I never thought there’d actually be a clueless fool who would turn his attention towards my treasures.” The Cloud Furnace Master ground his teeth. He utterly hated the person who stole the heavenly resources.

“Oh right, Scholar Capital Master. What brings you here?” The Cloud Furnace Master looked at the Scholar Capital Master.

“I suffered the same incident as you. A heavenly resource that was extremely important to me was stolen by some clueless kid in the Skyscraping World,” the Scholar Capital Master said calmly. Soon afterwards, he thought of something and asked, “Cloud Furnace Master, do you remember the identity of the person who stole your heavenly resources?”

The Cloud Furnace Master furrowed his brows and said in thought, “I don’t know his identity or origins. I only managed to tell that he was a mere Immortal Emperor.”

“A mere Immortal Emperor?” The Scholar Capital Master suddenly narrowed his eyes.

“He does indeed appear to be an Immortal Emperor on the surface, but I’m confident that he’s not the main perpetrator. I could vaguely sense the presence of an Immortal Exalt nearby,” the Cloud Furnace Master said sternly.

At this moment, another streak of light shot over from afar, crossing through the sea of stars in the blink of an eye and appearing near the Scholar Capital Master and the Cloud Furnace Master.

He was a skinny, middle-aged man. He wore black robes; his appearance was quite hideous. His flesh seemed to have been forcefully healed after it had already rotted away.

“Corroding Venom Ancestor!”

The black-robed man’s appearance immediately made the Scholar Capital Master furrow his brows, while the Cloud Furnace Master cried out. His gazed at the man in black warily.

The Corroding Venom Master was also a Fifth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. His original form was a venomous serpent. After undergoing numerous trials and tribulations, he finally evolved into a venomous dragon. He possessed the body of a divine beast, and his battle prowess was very great. He was known to be invincible among his peers.

Even the Cloud Furnace Master who grasped the Laws of the Sword and possessed extremely powerful attacks believed he was not the Corroding Venom Ancestor’s opponent.

Soon after the Corroding Venom Ancestor arrived, several other experts reached here after a journey through outer space. Even the weakest were Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts. As for the strongest, apart from the Scholar Capital Master, there was an old woman known as the Divine Monarch of Cursing Heavens. She was skilled in the Laws of Curses.

“I never thought everyone would all come for the same matter. Over all these years, the possessions we’ve left in the Skyscraping World have been safe and sound, yet this time, all of us have suffered heavy losses. Looking at that, we can almost be certain that it’s the same person behind this,” the Divine Monarch of Cursing Heavens said sternly.

“If I lose the high grade heavenly resources in the Skyscraping World, then our sect will suffer a severe loss. There will be many important God Tier pills that we won’t be able to refine any time soon, so I must recover the heavenly resources…”

“Recovering the heavenly resources is only the first point. The second point is finding out exactly who’s bold enough to actually rob my possessions…”

“It doesn’t matter who it is. We’ll make them pay a heavy price. As for the organsation behind them, I recommend that we band together and destroy it…”

......

…

Over a dozen experts had already gathered outside the Skyscraping World. None of them were weaklings. After all, without sufficient strength, it was pointless for them to come in the first place.

Among these experts, some of them had left behind a wisp of their souls in the medicinal gardens, so they knew it was an Immortal Emperor and Immortal Exalt who robbed their medicinal gardens. There were also some people who did not leave behind a wisp of their soul, instead finding out through other ways. As such, they were uncertain about what had exactly unfolded in the Skyscraping World.

Of course, apart from Jian Chen, there was also the daughter of the heavenly emperor from the Heavenly Star Palace, Xing Caijian, who was destroying the medicinal gardens.

But without any exception, all of the experts who knew about Xing Caijian did not come here.
