Chaotic Sword God

“I-Illusionary Ancestor, w-w-what brings you here?” At this moment, the Space-splitting Venerable no longer hovered in the middle of the sky, looking down from above arrogantly. He frantically landed on the ground with some fear, immediately withdrawing all of his presence and arriving before the Illusionary Ancestor, bowing politely.

The Illusionary Ancestor stood there and stared at the Space-splitting Venerable coldly. She said emotionlessly, “Space-splitting, are you planning on seizing me?”

The Space-splitting Venerable’s heart trembled in fright. He said softly, “Never, never. Even if I were a hundred times bolder, I’d never disrespect you, Illusionary Ancestor. It’s a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding. I’m willing to accept whatever punishment that you have for me.”

“Hmph, if it weren’t for my tribulation of decline which has drastically reduced my strength, I’d definitely teach you a proper lesson. Why don’t you piss off right now?” the Illusionary Ancestor growled.

“Thank you for your mercy, Illusionary Ancestor. I’ll piss off right now. I’ll piss off immediately…” The Space-splitting Venerable did not possess any backbone at all before the Illusionary Ancestor. Despite being a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, he did not dare to show any signs of disrespect.

In the past, even if the Illusionary Ancestor was the second ancestor of the Waymight clan, even if the Space-splitting Venerable had qualms about her, he would have never behaved so spinelessly.

The reason for this tremendous change in attitude was not just because the Waymight clan had gained a Grand Exalt. There was another important reason, which was that the Illusionary Ancestor happened to be Daowei Chengqing and Fang Jing’s great-grandmother!

As a result, when he faced the Illusionary Ancestor, the Space-splitting Venerable felt like he was facing a higher authority.

After the Space-splitting Venerable had backed away, the Illusionary Ancestor did not remain there. She walked towards the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. As she travelled along the meandering mountain path, she peered into the fortunes before using divination to study the past here.

The Space-splitting Venerable gazed at the Illusionary Ancestor as she moved further and further into the distance from outside the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. He furrowed his brows heavily.

“That’s strange. Why has the Illusionary Ancestor suddenly come to the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens? And from how she is acting, she appears to be very interested in the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens.”

“Don’t tell me there’s something here that has drawn her over?”

“That’s impossible. With the Illusionary Ancestor’s status, how could she take an interest in the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens’ dilapidated ancestral grounds?” the Space-splitting Venerable thought to himself. The Illusionary Ancestor’s actions left him puzzled.

“Don’t tell me that under Fang Jing’s influence, the Illusionary Ancestor has also begun to sympathise with the Sword Sect of Violet Heaven’s predicament and wants to support them?” When he thought of that, the Space-splitting Venerable’s face immediately became ugly.

From a certain perspective, the Illusionary Ancestor’s attitude and influence was even more useful than the elder princess of the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance’s.

She was the second ancestor of the Waymight clan after all. The authority she possessed was so great that she could even influence a Grand Exalt to a certain degree!

“Illusionary Ancestor… She’s the Waymight Grand Exalt’s younger sister. If she wants to protect the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, then… can we still even get our revenge?”

The Space-splitting Venerable’s heart weighed extremely heavily.

......

…

By now, the Illusionary Ancestor had already arrived on the main peak of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. She studied every inch of land and every bit of space before looking at a certain direction above the main peak.

Her gaze seemed to penetrate the layers of space, allowing her to see a mountain hidden in the very depths.

That was an Energy-gathering Divine Mountain. As the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens declined, their last ancestor, the Star Clustered Ancestor, used his abilities to merge it with this space. He prevented people from taking away the final Energy-gathering Divine Mountain so easily.

The Illusionary Ancestor noticed the Energy-gathering Divine Mountain hidden there with ease.

However, she clearly was not interested in this high quality god artifact. She only glanced at it before looking away and scanning the back mountain of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens.

In just a split second, the Illusionary Ancestor arrived on the back mountain and stopped in front of a boulder.

That was where the Immortal Devouring Orchid took root.

“The lingering will of the Grand Exalt in the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens has basically dispersed. Through the various obstacles, I can vaguely see what occurred here in the past but only traces of you are nowhere to be found…”

“Yang Yutian, what exactly are your origins? And why did you come to the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, proactively shouldering all of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens’ karma?”

“After all the disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens left with you, they seemed to have vanished from the world. They can’t be found no matter what abilities or secret techniques are used. It seems as if they’ve been perfectly hidden away by an invisible power. That can only mean you possess a spatial god artifact of extremely high quality, enough to obstruct all ties of fate…”

“When you unleashed the Divine Formation of the Heavens on the Hall Brilliance Heaven, you must have used the disciples of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens to arrange the formation…”

The Illusionary Ancestor sank into her thoughts. Her mind seemed to be filled with unresolvable mysteries.

After remaining in the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens for a while, the Illusionary Ancestor left before visiting various places on the Observance Heaven City. She investigated everything that was connected to the sect master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, Jian Chen.

As a matter of fact, she visited the Observance Heaven City multiple times, visiting the city lord, Jiang Pingtian, the five commanders, and the numerous Thousand Immortal Generals.

Despite the influence from the tribulation of decline which made her strength fall constantly, all members of the upper echelon of the Observance Heaven City knew who she was. The vice city lord, the Master of Fire Virtue, even boldly declared that he would personally lead the way for the Illusionary Ancestor. Even when it came to the cultivators who did not know the Illusionary Ancestor, they would still treat her with great respect due to the Master of Fire Virtue by her side, obediently handing over all the information they possessed to the Illusionary Ancestor.

Despite already knowing these pieces of information, the Illusionary Ancestor still listened to them patiently.

It was as if she was extremely interested in anything that was related to Jian Chen.

The Illusionary Ancestor basically gained a grasp over everything that Jian Chen had done on the Observance Heaven City effortlessly.

Despite still failing to find out about Jian Chen’s origins, the accumulation of all these clues and pieces of information seemed to allow the Illusionary Ancestor to come to some kind of conclusion. Her brows would often be furrowed and even her expression became uncertain.

“Jing’er’s actions seemed a little irregular back then outside the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. Does she know something?” the Illusionary Ancestor said softly. Despite not being present during the time, there had been far too many spectators, so it was very easy to learn about the details.

“Looks like I should pay a visit to the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance and personally find Jing’er to talk about this. I can also get confirmation about my thoughts at the same time. After all, Jing’er possesses the unfathomable Dominion’s Brush. Perhaps she can find some things that I can’t sense,” the Illusionary Ancestor said softly. It seemed like she had already made up her mind, but suddenly, her expression stiffened. She could not help but smile wryly. “With my current strength, it’ll take quite a lot of time to travel from here to the Wondrous Success Heaven.”

“Looks like I’ll have to take a teleportation formation…”

“Sigh, I don’t even remember how many years it’s been since I last took a teleportation formation…”
