Chapter 3969: History of the Daemons’ World

Looking at how shocked Jian Chen was, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor immediately began laughing. “What? You’re frightened? If you knew their history, you’d find that the Sacred Beast clan is far, far weaker than what they once were.”

“The Daemons’ World is very different from our Immortals’ World. The Immortals’ World is divided into the thirty-three heavens, while the Daemons’ World was split into the four cardinal directions. The four regions corresponding to the cardinal directions were ruled by the Azure Dragon clan, the White Tiger clan, the Vermillion Bird clan, and the Black Tortoise clan.”

“These four clans are equivalent to the four imperial clans of the entire Daemons’ World. They stand above, ruling over all of the organisations within their regions. Even with the passage of countless years, their status as the four imperial clans has never been shaken.”

“When the Daemons’ World was still in one piece, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise clans had never experienced an interruption in the lineage of their Grand Exalts. Even when their older Grand Exalts perished due to various reasons, new Grand Exalts would be born very quickly, filling in their empty spots. Just like that, each generation succeeded the last for who knew how many years, completely consolidating their status as the four imperial clans.”

“As a matter of fact, during their most glorious ages, some of the imperial clans might even have two Grand Exalts coexisting at the same time…”

The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor described the history of the Daemons’ World to Jian Chen in detail. Jian Chen became more and more startled the more he listened. He discovered that even when he already had a very high opinion of the Sacred Beast clan’s strength, he still ended up severely underestimating the four so-called imperial clans.

Even their lineage of Grand Exalts had never been interrupted. Did that not mean that they had produced countless Grand Exalts throughout the history of the four imperial clans?

At the same time, who knew how many Grand Exalt’s legacies were left behind?

With such a terrifying heritage, just which peak organisation in the Immortals’ World could rival them?

“Senior, apart from the four imperial clans, have any of the other clans produced Grand Exalts?” Jian Chen asked curiously. In his knowledge, once a new Grand Exalt was born, the situation across all the organisations in the entire world would be renewed. This was true in both the Saints’ World and the Immortals’ World.

At the very least, with his understanding of the Saints’ World, there were no peak organisations that could establish such a lengthy rule like the four imperial clans of the Daemons’ World.

“Of course, there have been. Throughout the history of the Daemons’ World, many Grand Exalts have appeared outside of the four imperial clans, but they were unable to change the situation of the Daemons’ World in the end. The four imperial clans always stood together. An additional Grand Exalt or two that did not belong to the four imperial clans would not be able to change the overall situation. Their greatest purpose would just be to lead their clans to temporary independence. As long as their Grand Exalt remained, they would not fall under the rule of the four imperial clans. However, they would not have the courage to fight the four imperial clans for territory either. They would only be able to preserve their original territory.”

“Many years afterwards, once their Grand Exalts perished, they would lose their independence as well. All of the clans would return to the rule of the four imperial clans. There were no other peak clans apart from the four imperial clans that managed to continuously produce Grand Exalts in the Daemons’ World, so there obviously isn’t an organisation that can shake the ruling status of the four imperial clans.”

Reaching there, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor sighed gently. “You should understand now with all that I’ve said that the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise clans aren’t the only ones that have preserved their Grand Exalt’s bloodline and legacies. Among the organisations ruled by the four imperial clans, there are still some peak clans that possess relatively complete Grand Exalt’s legacies. Among the particularly powerful, their strength even rivals the four imperial clans, almost to the point where they match them evenly.”

“Since their peak organisations are so powerful, why do they still accept the rule of the four imperial clans? After all, the four imperial clans no longer have Grand Exalts. If they were to declare independence, they’d be completely able to claim their own territory and stand supreme,” Jian Chen said.

“There are many reasons. First of all, because they’re daemons, a lot of their territory is different from the Immortals’ World. Moreover, they had been ruled over for far too long in the original Daemons’ World. Their subservience to the four imperial clans has already become a part of their bloodline. It’s not that easy to eliminate.”

“Secondly, they’re relatively tight-knit. If they were to leave the four imperial clans, there are quite a lot of organisations in the Immortals’ World that can come after them. So what if they possess strength that rivals the courts of heaven? Even courts of heaven in the Immortals’ World come and go with time, being updated with each generation. However, if they fall back onto the four imperial clans, who beneath Grand Exalt has the courage to walk over them?”

“Thirdly, a supreme bloodline exists among the four imperial clans. When their supreme bloodline appears, it is a symbol of invincibility. It’s said that before the Daemons’ World had shattered, most of the Grand Exalts born in the four imperial clans possessed this supreme bloodline. As a result, even when the other clans of the Daemons’ World produced Grand Exalts, they were not the opponent of this supreme bloodline.”

“There was no one in the Daemons’ World that did not fear and revere the supreme bloodline of the four imperial clans. If the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise clans were the imperial clans of the Daemons’ World, then the supreme bloodline was the royalty among the imperial clans. No, it should be said that they’re the rulers of the imperial clans…”

“It is also the existence of these supreme bloodlines that completely snuffed out any thought of resistance from these peak clans…”

“Supreme bloodlines?” Jian Chen suddenly narrowed his eyes. He thought of something.

The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor explained it further to Jian Chen. “The supreme bloodlines is only a description given to them by us. Among the four imperial clans, they call the supreme bloodlines the Nineclawed Golden Dragon, the Sacredfeathered Tiger Emperors, the Eternallife Vermillion Bird, and the Violetgolden Black Tortoise.”

“It’s said that before the Daemons’ World had shattered, the supreme bloodlines were passed down consistently between generations and were rarely ever interrupted. Even if there was an interruption, it would only be for a short period of time. But now, who knows how many years it’s been since the Immortals’ World has heard of the legends of the supreme bloodlines…”

......

…

As if he was afraid that Jian Chen would ignorantly provoke the Sacred Beast clan, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor basically hid nothing about the Sacred Beast clan, telling it all to Jian Chen in detail.

Jian Chen had finally truly gained an understanding for the Sacred Beast clan’s strength for the first time through the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor. Their terrifying heritage deeply shocked Jian Chen.

“No wonder even a Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, the Heavenly Talisman Venerable, warned me to not touch the pair of Dragon Blood Fish inside the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants. With the terrifying strength of the Sacred Beast clan, just which organisation in the Immortals’ World doesn’t fear them apart from Grand Exalts?” Jian Chen thought to himself.
