Chaotic Sword God

Chapter 3867: Ingesting the Spiritual Fruit

At this moment, an old man sat in the icy dark space outside the Skyscraping World. Extremely powerful senses of the soul radiated from him, reaching billions of kilometres away, constantly examining this space.

The old man was known as one of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven, the Scholar Capital Master, a Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt expert!

“The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing in the Skyscraping World is my possession. No one can think about taking it away.” The Scholar Capital Master’s sharp gaze constantly swept through the space there, radiating with icy, undisguised killing intent.

He had entered the Skyscraping World before. Although he did not possess a Skyscraping Sword Scripture right now, which prevented him from entering the independent space, he still remembered its rough location.

“Dammit. If I had known earlier that something like this would happen during the opening this time, I would have never bothered with those shitty matters on the Modest Silence Heaven.”

“Without me, the situation on the Modest Silence Heaven will be extremely disadvantageous, but how can it compare to the Divine Sword of the Immortal Soul’s recovery?”

“Once the artifact spirit of the Divine Sword of the Immortal Soul recovers, I’ll be able to grasp the Immortal Soul Annihilation technique through the sword spirit. By then, who on the Modest Silence Heaven will still be my opponent…”

“I just regret that I was too concerned with the situation on the Modest Silence Heaven, which led to an accident with the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing in the Skyscraping World…” the Scholar Capital Master thought to himself.

His eyes glistened with cold killing intent, feeling concern and uneasiness at times.

If the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing had just been picked, it would not be too much of a problem. He guarded this place personally, so he could just steal it back when the time came.

He was afraid that the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing would be used.

If it were used, even killing the person would be useless.

“You better not use it. The Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords has basically developed a monopoly over all the Spiritual Fruits of Sword Nurturing that appear in the Immortals’ World. It really isn’t easy for me to obtain one.” The Scholar Capital Master prayed inside.

......

…

At this moment, a white-robed figure sat in the canopy of a large tree in a forest surrounded by dense spiritual Qi. His eyes were shut.

That was Jian Chen!

After stealing the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, he used the spiritual Qi to navigate his path, inspecting the path ahead of him. Coupled with the Divine Armour of Heavenflight, he escaped the pursuit of the Immortal Exalts with ease.

After all, compared to him, the Immortal Exalts were like a group of old men in the Skyscraping World. Their vision was limited, and the senses of their souls could only reach a hundred kilometres away.

At this moment, Jian Chen was more than ten million kilometres away from where the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing grew. In the outside world, this distance would merely be a step away for any Immortal Exalt.

But in the Skyscraping World, it was as if they were worlds apart.

“Master, we’re already prepared. We can consume the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.” At this moment, Zi Ying and Qing Suo’s voices rang out in Jian Chen’s head.

In the next moment, two streams of light, one violet and one azure, erupted out from above Jian Chen’s head, immediately condensing into a male and female figure.

They were the sword spirits that Jian Chen was familiar with.

Although the sword spirits were in an illusionary form right now, they seemed to be extremely consolidated.

They had already adjusted their conditions to their peak. They were filled with energy, prepared to absorb the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing in their optimal conditions.

“Then let’s begin.” Jian Chen opened his eyes slowly in the canopy. He took out a delicate jade box and opened it carefully. Resplendent light poured out from the jade box with dazzling light, like it held a supreme treasure.

Within the jade box rested a palm-sized sword.

Of course, that was just the shape of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. It was actually a special kind of fruit, one that was highly beneficial to sword spirits!

“Zi Ying, Qing Suo, just absorb away without any worry. Before you finish absorbing it, no one will disturb you,” Jian Chen said confidently. With the secret technique from the Skyscraping Sword Venerable, he was not the strongest in the Skyscraping World, but no one even came close to him in terms of his range of observation.

“The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing can allow us to recover quite a bit, but as we recover, we’ll need to absorb large amounts of spiritual Qi, so please help us out, master,” said Zi Ying.

Jian Chen smiled at that. “Don’t worry. In the Skyscraping World, the last thing you’ll be lacking is spiritual Qi. I will gather all the spiritual Qi within ten thousand kilometres to assist you in your recovery.”

Zi Ying and Qing Suo said nothing more. They extended their fingers gently towards the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, and the fruit immediately levitated from the jade box, hovering between them.

Zi Ying and Qing Suo shut their eyes slowly like cultivating immortals, crossing their legs and meditating away.

Shortly afterwards, a unique kind of spiritual Qi flowed out from the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, turning into two white streams of pure sword intent that merged with the sword spirits.

After absorbing this power, Zi Ying and Qing Suo’s illusionary bodies visibly seemed to become slightly stronger.

On top of that, as they absorbed the special spiritual Qi from the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, the presence that they gave off gradually strengthened as well.

This Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing was of extremely high grade. It had even evolved, so it had become unique a long time ago. As a result, it was of tremendous assistance to the sword spirits.

The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing gradually began to dim. The special energy it contained was being rapidly absorbed.

At the same time, Jian Chen used the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique and began controlling the spiritual Qi in the surroundings to gather towards the sword spirits.

At that instant, a huge storm of spiritual Qi brewed where they were. As a matter of fact, spiritual rain even began to fall within a range of a hundred metres.

Every droplet of rain had been formed from dense spiritual Qi.

The sword spirits furiously absorbed the spiritual Qi in the surroundings. Their strength grew with each passing moment. Although they were still quite far off from their peak condition, they had never recovered as quickly as now.

Without any exaggeration, they had made as much progress as they had made during the past thousand years, or even more, in less than half an hour.

In the Skyscraping World, many Immortal Exalts continued to cooperate with the Heavenloss Master, searching for the whereabouts of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.

Outside the Skyscraping World, the Scholar Capital Master of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven waited anxiously for them to come out.

But unbeknownst to them, someone was already consuming the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing that they all cared so much about.
