The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

As Carson Flores stepped into the Majestic Sect, Deputy Sect Master Jarett Roth, Hall Master Yackey Decker, Boyd, and others were already aware of the news. They gathered in unison to welcome Carson Flores.

”Greetings, Sect Master!”

Carson Flores waved his hand and said, ”Why all the pomp and circumstance? Just relax and carry on with your tasks!”

Jarett Roth looked at Carson Flores with complex emotions and cupped his hands, saying, ”Sect Master, you went to the War God Mansion without fear, securing resources for our sect. Your hard work has been invaluable. It’s only fitting we come to greet you!”

Yackey Decker and the others said in unison, ”Sect Master, you’ve worked hard!”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”We’re all on the same team, no need for these formalities. Let’s chat inside.”

The group returned to the Sect Main Hall, with Yackey Decker leading the questions: ”Sect Master, since we left, has everything gone smoothly? Did you meet the Hall Master?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”I did. We chatted a bit, and the situation was better than I expected.”

The group rejoiced, with Boyd eagerly asking, ”What did the Hall Master say?”

Carson Flores didn’t hide anything, narrating his conversation with Norric Shepherd broadly, which made everyone delighted.

From now on, our Majestic Sect has backing; we’re no longer the ones anyone can bully easily!

Carradine snorted, ”Don’t celebrate too early. The Hall Master said he wouldn’t meddle in ordinary matters. But on our way back, we encountered two Great Land Prime Immortals trying to ambush us, apparently targeting the Sect Master...”

Everyone’s expressions changed, and Yackey Decker angrily asked, ”Who dares to openly ambush the Sect Master? Are you alright?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”I’m fine.”

Carradine recounted the entire incident, and everyone looked at Carson Flores differently than before.

Previously, everyone respected Carson Flores: first for his achievements, and second for bringing resources back to the sect. However, there were concerns over the Sect Master’s strength. Now, it seemed Carson Flores wasn’t as weak as they thought.

Two Great Land Prime Immortals chased Carson Flores, yet he was unharmed?

How did he manage that?

Though curious, the group didn’t ask further. Any immortal must have their escape trump cards.

It’s good news that the Sect Master has these abilities!

At least there’s no worry he’ll get instantly defeated by anyone he encounters.

This is good news for the entire Majestic Sect!

Carson Flores said, ”Don’t mind this. With the upcoming conflict, everyone should focus on cultivation and strengthening the sect’s disciples. Be ready anytime to receive orders for the Immortal Demon War.”

Yackey Decker asked, ”Sect Master, are you planning to go into seclusion?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes, I’m just a step away from the Peak of the Great Land Supreme Immortal. I hope to achieve the breakthrough in the coming years to become a Great Land Prime Immortal, making it harder to die on the battlefield. This way, I won’t have to flee every time.”

Yackey Decker nodded, ”Then, I need to report on the sect’s disciples. Some matters require your decision...”

Carson Flores waved his hand, ”Who was responsible for these matters before?”

Jarett Roth replied, ”Before the Sect Master arrived, I was acting as the Sect Master, handling these matters.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Then you continue. Better familiar than unfamiliar. I naturally don’t know the sect’s disciples as you do, so handle them as you see fit, no need to consult me. Yes, I authorize Deputy Sect Master Roth to handle everything fully.”

Jarett Roth’s face was complex, ”Sect Master, isn’t this against regulations?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Isn’t the Majestic Sect led by me? Isn’t it my decision?”

Jarett Roth answered without hesitation, ”You are the Sect Master, naturally, all sect affairs are decided by you.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Then that’s settled. Just follow what I said.”

After a pause, Carson Flores’ gaze landed on Jarett Roth. He smiled, ”I am rather lazy by nature and don’t like to be bothered with too many affairs, so I’ll rely on Deputy Sect Master Roth. Yes, act as if I were never here and everything’s like before!”

Jarett Roth felt a bit uneasy under Carson Flores’ gaze.

He felt his inner thoughts might have been seen by Carson Flores. The last sentence seemed to be directed at himself.

Before I arrived, Deputy Sect Master Roth acted as Sect Master, exercising the power of the Sect Master. Now that I’m here, although I authorize you to act as Sect Master as before, don’t forget your identity: you’re the Deputy Sect Master, not the Sect Master!

The power I give, you can take; if I don’t give, you can’t take!

Carson Flores stood up, laughing, ”Alright, that’s all. Meeting adjourned!”

Carson Flores left the hall gracefully, heading back to his estate, followed by Jarett Roth’s voice.

”Sect Master, wait!”

Carson Flores turned, looking at the approaching Jarett Roth, and chuckled, ”Deputy Sect Master Roth, is there anything else?”

Jarett Roth hesitated for two seconds, cupped his hands, ”Sect Master, upon your arrival, I had much resistance towards you internally. After spending time together, I’ve come to realize you’re undoubtedly the right choice for Majestic Sect Master, far beyond myself. It was my narrow-mindedness before. I’ve come to apologize, and assure you I’ll dedicate myself wholeheartedly to my duties, not letting you down.”

Carson Flores chuckled, without much comment, simply responding, ”I didn’t take it to heart. No need to worry. Look after sect affairs; much appreciated!”

Jarett Roth was a bit surprised, ”That’s all?”

He initially thought Carson Flores might subtly mock him or hint at him a little, yet it turned out to be such a lighthearted remark.

The Sect Master knows!

He understands everything but chooses not to fuss over it, even delegating power!

Jarett Roth felt deeply moved. Despite his greater age, he realized that his perspective was far inferior to Carson Flores’.

No matter what, since the other party forgives, covering past issues, he would assist the Sect Master, striving to let Majestic Sect recapture its glory!

Carson Flores looked at Jarett Roth’s complex expression, smiled, and patted his shoulder before turning and walking away.

”I’ll be in secluded cultivation. Don’t report anything unless it’s urgent.”

Jarett Roth watched Carson Flores drift away, speechless, cupping his hands in a salute.

Yackey Decker, Boyd, and others had already left the hall, observing from afar, witnessing this scene with complex expressions mixed with relief.

They generally understood Jarett Roth’s mindset but couldn’t say much since, although he had his plans, his heart was ultimately for the good of the Majestic Sect.

Initially, he distrusted Carson Flores, worried he’d lead the sect into the Abyss due to his youth.

He believed in himself more than Carson Flores.

Yet, in a short time, Carson Flores proved himself more suitable as Sect Master than Jarett Roth.

Although shortly, Carson Flores’ strength might not compare to Jarett Roth, his future undoubtedly surpasses Roth’s.

They were worried Roth would take extreme measures; now, seeing him let go, they were relieved.

Jarett Roth turned and saw everyone watching him, causing his old face to redden slightly, and then waved, ”Everyone, continue your work. When the Sect Master emerges, there should be progress...”
