The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Theron Coffey is from the Coffey Family, and a member of Tristan Coffey’s clan on the Immortal God Stele.”

Yackey Decker frowned and said, ”We knew about this before, didn’t we? Is there a problem?”

Carradine replied with a bitter smile, ”Yes, we did know this, but when I went to inquire about Cyras Roth and his group’s news, I found out something unexpected...”

Boyd pursued further, ”What situation?”

Carradine answered, ”Cyras Roth and Theron Coffey are relatives; Theron’s sister married Cyras’s second uncle.”

Carson Flores blinked, ”Cyras Roth’s second uncle, which means he has to call Theron Coffey’s sister ’Second Aunt’, and call her brother ’Uncle’ as cousins do in her family...”

Everyone exchanged glances, their expressions somewhat subtle.

All this trouble, and the superior turns out to be Cyras Roth’s uncle?

A higher-ranking official can suppress everyone, and if Theron Coffey knows his nephew is being disgraced and tries to retaliate, wouldn’t the Majestic Sect be in trouble?

Carson Flores looked at the three of them, all showing a look of impending doom, laughed, and comforted them, saying, ”Don’t worry, they were the ones who provoked us first. We have the right on our side. Whether Theron Coffey will seek revenge for Cyras Roth is one thing, but even if he wants to help, he needs a reason. Although he is a higher rank, the legion does not belong to the Coffey Family alone; there’s still the Army Commander and the Hall Master.”

The three suddenly recalled that the Sect Master was appointed directly by the Hall Master. Having someone in higher authority means even if faced with unfair treatment or private vendetta, Carson could directly report to the Hall Master without fear of suffering losses.

Besides, as the Squad Captain, Theron Coffey naturally knows Carson Flores was appointed by the Hall Master himself. Under such circumstances, would he still dare risk deliberately oppressing him?

The three’s mood slightly relaxed, but they were still a bit worried, ”Being targeted by one’s superior is not pleasant; even if not directly opposed, they may put us in difficult situations within their power, like assigning the deadliest, hardest-to-achieve tasks during battles, and we could be played to death.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”There’s no need to worry unnecessarily; we’ll cross that bridge if we come to it. Rest assured, I’ll protect everyone.”

Yackey Decker and others agreed, but Carson could tell they perhaps understood the protection as complaining after encountering unfair treatment rather than its literal sense.

Carson didn’t explain much, as the more your hand is exposed, the easier it is to be targeted.

What remains unexposed and unknown is the true ace up one’s sleeve.

Such as Snow Zane, Broken Heaven, the Demon Summoning Banner, the White Jade Token...

”Since the resources have been received, you all can return and quickly convert these resources into combat power, preparing for any battle that might come.”

”I’ll stay here and await the Hall Master’s return; there may be some private matters to address, which might take some time.”

Yackey Decker and Boyd exchanged a glance, their eyes falling on Carradine.

Carradine said, ”They will go back, I’ll stay, just in case the Sect Master needs someone to run an errand; having more people is convenient.”

Carson knew they were worried about him, since he was just a Great Land Immortal. Having attracted a lot of trouble when picking up resources, if anyone seeks revenge, how would he withstand it?

Though Carradine’s power isn’t considered outstanding among Superior Grade Great Land Prime Immortals, it’s certainly more reliable than Carson Flores, a Great Land Immortal.

In case something happens, he can at least hold out for a while.

”Alright, Hall Master Carradine will stay, Master Decker and Master Boyd can return, inform Deputy Sect Master Roth to prepare for battle.”

”Yes!”

Meanwhile, at a mansion in the city.

”It has been confirmed, the Demon Race used some method to send a vanguard of hundreds of demons into the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain. They are building an altar and establishing a teleportation array there, aimed at bringing the Demon Race army during critical times, but were discovered by Carson Flores.”

”Carson killed a demon, disguised himself as a demon to infiltrate, then attacked the altar with a powerful space bomb, destroying it completely along with killing hundreds of demons.”

”Most of these demons were Artifact Refiners and Guards, not very powerful. The leading demon was a Quasi-Saint and did not die; the demon then tried to salvage the situation by making plans, but was again discovered by Carson Flores, who caught his movements and was eventually killed under the siege of strong warriors from the Book Sea Pavilion.”

”Book Sea Pavilion was very grateful for Carson’s contributions and rewarded him with abundant cultivation resources, while also reporting this matter to the War God Mansion. This incident led the Hall Master to personally appoint him as the Majestic Sect Master.”

”He had previously gone to the War God Temple to meet the Hall Master, but the Hall Master was out, so he did not get to meet him. This guy is registered with the Hall Master, no wonder he is so fearless.”

”Yesterday, he confronted Housekeeper Roth and Taliesin Compton when they went to receive resources, and today again stood out challenging us; this guy has quite the guts.”

Cyras Roth listened and smiled, ”He has guts, he may be strong, but he’s ultimately just a small team leader. I just asked, and coincidentally, my uncle happens to be their superior...”
