The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

When Branthor Kirby and his group came in, Carson Flores immediately spotted the black-robed young man in the crowd.

Since he was in the team, the ”great calamity” he had mentioned was clearly referring to Branthor Kirby.

A Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal, suppressing the entire Azure Divine Sect and all its guests?

That sounded shocking, but a glance at the guests around them, whose faces had all drastically changed, showed that this was reality.

Although Xorin Schneider was a Middle Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal, that exchange just now made it clear he was no match for Branthor Kirby at all.

Branthor Kirby possessed absolutely crushing strength!

Xorin Schneider glared at Branthor Kirby through gritted teeth. ”Even if you have Superior Grade strength, it’s absolutely impossible for you to trample over my Azure Divine Sect today. We’ve long since made preparations...”

Branthor Kirby narrowed his eyes slightly. ”Oh? Is that so? And what preparations would those be? Let me broaden my horizons.”

Xorin Schneider turned his head toward the guests and cupped his hands. ”Brother Orell, I’ll trouble you!”

An elderly man with hair and beard both white walked out of the room. The moment he appeared, everyone around them cried out in delight.

”Orell Fraley!”

”Orell Fraley of the Jade Cauldron Sect, a Superior Grade Great Land Profound Immortal!”

”Now we’re saved!”

”With Fellow Lorne Orell stepping forward, that Branthor Kirby won’t get to act so arrogantly!”

Orell Fraley rose into the air, coming to Xorin Schneider’s side, his expression grave.

He had come at Xorin Schneider’s invitation, first to offer congratulations, second because he had accepted Xorin Schneider’s generous gifts, hoping that if trouble arose on the day of the grand feast, he would lend a hand.

As a Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal, Orell Fraley’s Realm placed him among the top echelon of the Immortal Realm, so he naturally held himself in high regard; he agreed on account of the rich gifts.

Looking at Branthor Kirby, Orell Fraley cupped his hands and said, ”Fellow Branthor, today is Fellow Lorne’s promotion feast. Guests have gathered from all directions. If some bloody battle breaks out, that would truly be most unseemly. Fellow Branthor, why not do me a favor and withdraw with your people for today? Whatever you have to settle, bring it up another day. How about it?”

Xorin Schneider frowned slightly, wanting to speak but holding back.

He naturally understood what Orell Fraley meant. Today I’m here; if you make trouble, that means you aren’t giving me any face. Otherwise, you give me some face and leave with your people. After today, you can do whatever you like to the Azure Divine Sect, and I won’t interfere then!

He had invited Orell Fraley to sit in town and paid a huge price precisely to deal with unforeseen circumstances. Naturally, he hoped even more that Orell Fraley would take down Branthor Kirby and completely resolve this problem.

However, Xorin Schneider had his own ideas, and Orell Fraley had his. He was willing to act on account of the generous payment, but he had no intention of fighting Branthor Kirby to the death and needlessly provoking a powerful enemy.

Branthor Kirby had revealed his strength right from the start and bluntly stated that he was going to rob the entire Azure Divine Sect and all guests present. Clearly, he wasn’t walking the usual path; he most likely hadn’t founded a Sect, but was following the route of roaming bandit and robber.

Someone like that, once provoked, would be a major headache.

Branthor Kirby let out a cold laugh. ”You want me to leave? If I leave, these fat sheep will all be gone by tomorrow. Where am I supposed to find them again? You going to compensate me?”

Orell Fraley’s face also turned cold. ”If you force my hand, together with the Azure Divine Sect and the many guests here, you might not walk away with the advantage!”

Branthor Kirby laughed loudly. ”I know you—Orell Fraley of the Jade Cauldron Sect, a Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal. Since you’ve stepped forward, I’ll also give you some face. You step back and stay out of this, and I won’t rob your people. We’ll mind our own wells and rivers. But if you insist on speaking up for others, then we’ll have to fight it out.”

Branthor Kirby’s tone shifted, full of mockery. ”You think you might be able to block me, but have you considered that there might be more than one Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal in our group?”

The moment he said this, Orell Fraley’s expression changed instantly.

In the entire Jade Cauldron Sect, there was only one Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortal—him. If the other side truly had two Superior Grade Great Land Primordial Immortals, then not only would the Azure Divine Sect be unable to withstand them, his Jade Cauldron Sect wouldn’t be able to either.

Never mind the future; if he made a move today, whether he could leave alive would be a question.

Of course he knew the other side might just be bluffing him, but this matter had nothing to do with him to begin with. He could have remained aloof; why should he drag himself into a life-and-death crisis?

Seeing Orell Fraley hesitate, Xorin Schneider grew anxious. ”Brother Orell, if there were a second Superior Grade Great Land Carson Flores, he would have stepped out already. He’s just putting on a show.”

When the other guests noticed that Orell Fraley seemed inclined to preserve himself, they also grew anxious and all started pleading out loud.

”Fellow Orell, you mustn’t wash your hands of this. If you don’t act, we’ll all suffer calamity today. If this gets out, it’ll be a huge joke.”

”Brother Orell, our Sect has always had good relations with the Jade Cauldron Sect. You can’t just sit back and watch us fall into the hands of bandits.”

”Save us, and we’ll definitely offer heavy thanks!”

Among the guests were quite a few people from Sects familiar with the Jade Cauldron Sect. With everyone talking at once, Orell Fraley found himself unable to keep a straight face.

If he didn’t do anything at all, then no matter how this turned out, his reputation would be ruined.

Forget anything else; he’d definitely be saddled with the label of ”watching others die without helping.”

Orell Fraley weighed things for a moment, then finally made up his mind. ”If you can withstand one move from me, I’ll turn around and leave!”
