The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2450: Chapter 2450: Wasn’t It You Who Caught It?

The four, including Floating Cloud, were engaged in an intense battle, and the voice from the sky shocked everyone.

The Phoenix Fire Spirit has been captured and handed over to that person?

Ghost True Sage’s face turned pale, his eyes filled with murderous intent: ”Phineas! Prylor Jandric!”

In an instant, Phineas and his two brothers, along with the pale-looking Prylor Jandric, appeared within Ghost True Sage’s line of sight.

Seeing Prylor Jandric, Ghost True Sage frowned immediately. It’s not them?

Having heard the news of the Phoenix Fire Spirit being captured, Ghost True Sage’s first thought was that Phineas and the others had betrayed him by capturing the Phoenix Fire Spirit and handing it over privately. But seeing their panicked expressions, Ghost True Sage knew he might have misunderstood.

”Who captured the Phoenix Fire Spirit?”

Phineas replied bitterly, ”I don’t know. Prylor Jandric used a magical treasure to freeze the Phoenix Fire Spirit. It only took me a few seconds to excavate the Profound Ice, but the Phoenix Fire Spirit had already broken out of the ice.”

Fearing Ghost True Sage’s disbelief, Phineas made a gesture with one hand, and the massive Profound Ice flew over from afar and hovered in mid-air.

Ghost True Sage looked at the large hole below the Profound Ice, frowning: ”Did you activate the magical treasure from below, sealing the Phoenix Fire Spirit?”

Prylor Jandric nodded quickly: ”I was sure it was sealed properly at the time, but I never expected the Phoenix Fire Spirit to be so powerful, breaking through the Profound Ice in such a short time...”

”The Profound Ice wasn’t broken by it.”

Ghost True Sage’s facial muscles twitched slightly: ”My magical treasure wouldn’t produce such small Profound Ice... Once sealed, did you leave the underground?”

Prylor Jandric nodded blankly: ”Yes, I went up to inform Phineas and the others to proceed with excavating it...”

Ghost True Sage instinctively clenched his fist and glared fiercely at Prylor Jandric: ”In the time you left, someone acted underground, melting at least half the Profound Ice in an extremely short period, allowing the Phoenix Fire Spirit to break free. That person captured the Phoenix Fire Spirit!”

Phineas and the others were dumbfounded, and Prylor Jandric even paled significantly.

If he had just stayed to guard the sealed Phoenix Fire Spirit or acted himself, it might have taken longer, but it wouldn’t have given others the chance.

Unexpectedly, besides himself, someone else in the world could perform Earth Escape!

Is this person hidden so deeply?

For such a long time, they have concealed themselves, and now, at this critical moment, they launch an unexpected strike, successfully capturing the Phoenix Fire Spirit.

Thinking that this person is about to gain freedom while he would be stuck here forever, Prylor Jandric felt as if his heart was being bitten by a venomous snake.

Ghost True Sage looked fiercely at Phineas and the others, wishing he could just eliminate them all, but the master had already ordered to cease all conflicts. If he were to act against the command, it would be a violation, and killing them wouldn’t solve anything.

”Return!”

Ghost True Sage coldly stated, ”I want to see who is hiding so deeply!”

Not far away, Profound River, Draelor Loxley, and Floating Cloud Flowing Cloud had already gathered together. They had naturally heard Ghost True Sage and his group’s conversation and, as their eyes met, saw the joy in each other’s eyes.

Who else but Carson Flores could perform Earth Escape?

Silently melting half of the Profound Ice, this was clearly the work of The Mirror of Elemental Harmony.

Carson Flores really did it!

Floating Cloud looked at Ghost True Sage with his somber expression and couldn’t help but mock, ”Oh dear, how did the Phoenix Fire Spirit get captured by someone else? You calculated everything but didn’t foresee this, did you?”

Ghost True Sage responded coldly, ”What are you happy about? That someone else captured the Phoenix Fire Spirit means you can’t return either and will have to remain here as slaves with us forever.”

Floating Cloud grinned and replied, ”No worries. Seeing your plans fail makes me happy.”

Ghost True Sage looked at Floating Cloud, then at Flowing Cloud and Profound River, discovering that they all had relaxed expressions on their faces, even with a hint of malicious laughter, further deepening his confusion.

What are they happy about?

Everyone’s stuck here; what’s there to be happy about?

A thought arose in Ghost True Sage’s mind, instinctively clenching his fist.

Could it be?

Could the person silently capturing the Phoenix Fire Spirit have long joined Floating Cloud’s camp?

Am I delaying them while they are delaying me?

Ghost True Sage’s face immediately darkened. He didn’t inquire further, instead spinning around and sprinting towards the camp.

Even if it’s really Floating Cloud and his party, everything is settled now. Further questioning would only be humiliating; it’s better to return to the camp where the truth will emerge naturally.

Floating Cloud smiled slightly and turned back, saying, ”Let’s return too!”

Ghost True Sage returned to the camp and found it bustling with activity. Everyone who had returned was gathered outside, engaged in lively discussions.

Ghost True Sage grabbed a man roughly and coldly asked, ”Who captured the Phoenix Fire Spirit?”

The man looked blankly and replied, ”Wasn’t it you? We’ve been guessing, and everyone believes it was you who captured it...”
