The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1802: Chapter 1802: We Are Now Your Prisoners!

”Why did you send a message to the Heavenly Alliance, and what was the content of the letter?”

Carson Flores was quite surprised. Although he knew that every continent had Blood Envoys of the Heavenly Alliance, he didn’t expect even the typically unruly Dragon Clan to be connected with them.

The first servant answered, ”We’re not very clear on the details. We were just accompanying the young master, but it seems to be about cooperation.”

Carson turned his gaze to Eliel Matthews, ”They don’t know, are you willing to tell me?”

Eliel was reluctant to speak to Carson, but the seemingly amused yet cold look in Carson’s eyes made him very uneasy, and the piercing gaze of the Golden-Winged Great Roc beside him filled him with even more fear.

Eliel swallowed hard, unable to hold back any longer.

Dignity is important, but so is life!

”The Green-robed Blood Envoy of the Heavenly Alliance invited our Azure Dragon Clan to cooperate with them. They aim to rule Dragon Spirit Continent together, but I don’t know the specifics. I’m only responsible for delivering the message.”

Carson frowned, ”The Heavenly Alliance invited the Azure Dragon Clan. Your Puddington Tribe is just a branch of the Azure Dragon Clan. Since when do you speak on their behalf?”

Eliel answered, ”We do not represent the Azure Dragon Clan, only our Puddington Tribe. Our Tribe Chief had some cooperation with them, so our interactions are a way for the Azure Dragon Clan to probe. Through these dealings, we judge whether deeper cooperation is warranted.”

Carson recalled the woman from the Azure Dragon Palace and produced a sketch he had done earlier, ”This woman should be from the Azure Dragon Palace. Do you know her?”

Eliel took a closer look, his face showing surprise, ”This is Callie Matthews, the granddaughter of our Azure Dragon Clan Leader. How do you have her portrait?”

The Clan Leader’s granddaughter?

Carson’s eyes lit up. This was indeed someone of high status.

”How does your Clan Leader treat her?”

Eliel replied, ”The Clan Leader is very fond of her. Although she doesn’t hold any position, due to the Clan Leader’s indulgence, she holds a high status in the clan...”

Indulgence!

This just got better.

By capturing Callie, I can use her to exchange for Senior Brother Bai and others. Surely, there’s no problem with that?

Azure Dragon Clan Leader, you wouldn’t want your granddaughter to die by my hand, would you?

Carson asked, ”Since she doesn’t hold any position, what is she doing here in your tribe?”

Eliel asked in surprise, ”She came to the tribe?”

Carson stared at Eliel, not saying a word.

Eliel was startled, finally remembering that he was a captive, a prisoner, without the right to ask questions. On the contrary, he had to cooperate in answering, or he might end up as food for the Golden-Winged Great Roc.

”I was out delivering messages before, so I don’t know why she’s here. Maybe it’s because of the Tribe Chief’s second son, Aden Matthews. It’s said he met Callie and fell for her at first sight. He then urged his father, our Tribe Chief, to propose to the Clan Leader on his behalf. I only know the basics; I’m not clear on the details.”

Propose?

Carson was not interested in such matters; whatever her purpose for being here, she was his target for kidnapping.

That’s enough.

Carson thought for a moment and asked, ”Have you had any collaborations with the Heavenly Alliance? Did you interact directly with the Green-robed Blood Envoy?”

Eliel shook his head, ”Just some trades, nothing too deep. I met with the Green-robed Blood Envoy’s subordinates to pass on messages. I haven’t met the Green-robed Blood Envoy.”

Carson was slightly disappointed, ”Where is their base located?”

Eliel shook his head, ”I simply showed up at the appointed time and place, met with them, and handed over the Jade Slip. My task was complete. Originally, my father just wanted to give me something to do to keep me from bothering him every day, to stop annoying him by being around...”

Having said this, there was basically nothing more to ask.

Coleson James asked, ”What about him?”

”Keep him around for now. After all, he is the son of the Great General of Puddington Tribe, and a good hostage...”

Carson turned his gaze to the two servants, ”The matter of taking us into the tribe can be left to them... you’ll cooperate, won’t you?”

The two servants privately lamented, but with their lives in others’ hands, they really had no choice.

They themselves were not members of the Dragon Clan; they only depended on the Dragon Clan because of their power, but did not feel much allegiance to them.

”Whatever you say, we’ll do. Just spare our lives in the end!”

Carson nodded, ”Our goal is not you. As long as you cooperate, we won’t kill you. If there’s chaos, you can escape amidst the confusion. Whether you live or die is your own fate.”

Both let out a breath of relief. Though Carson’s words still left them uneasy, his assurance gave them a sense of belief.

It seems that to survive, they must bet on this.

”What should we do?”

Carson smiled, ”Don’t the Dragon Clan regularly capture Human Race prisoners during excursions?”

”Yes, the more prisoners they capture, and the stronger the cultivators they capture, they receive rewards from the tribe.”

Carson nodded, ”Then it’s settled. From now on, we’ll be the prisoners you two have captured...”
