The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1632: Chapter 1632: Beating Him Makes Me Feel Better

Carson Flores and the frail nobleman’s eyes met in the air.

Carson smiled and nodded, which counted as a greeting.

Although this young master had a grand entourage and was clearly from an influential background, he didn’t use his power to pressure others. Instead, he had his maidens negotiate kindly, offering double the compensation, so Carson didn’t have a negative impression of him.

Carson was originally planning to agree to switch rooms to avoid unnecessary trouble, but the other party inexplicably gave up.

The frail nobleman suddenly walked over, glanced at June Weiss and Mona Briggs, and said with a smile, ”Seeing that you’re accompanied by lovely ladies, you must be a fellow cultivator. Why not sit down and have a cup of tea together?”

A fellow cultivator?

Carson felt a bit bewildered, wondering what kind of person he was being mistaken for.

”They are my maidens, not nearly as impressive as Young Master’s entourage, which is truly enviable...”

The frail nobleman chuckled, ”They’re also my personal maidens. I’m in poor health, and my family worries about me. They’re here to take care of me. Though there are many of them, each has their unique ability to handle different situations.”

”By the way, my name is Evan Foster, how should I address you?”

”Carson Flores.”

The frail nobleman laughed, ”From your accent, you don’t seem to be from around here.”

Carson replied cheerfully, ”I’m from the Skyland Continent.”

The frail nobleman let out an ’oh’ and casually asked, ”Traveling?”

Carson smiled, ”You could say that. How about you, Mr. Foster?”

Evan Foster smiled slightly, ”I’m also traveling.”

At this moment, a maiden with a cool demeanor approached and spoke softly, ”Young Master, the room is ready.”

Evan Foster smiled and said, ”The room is stuffy, but this corridor is nice. Bring out my tea set, we’ll drink here...”

The maidens were not surprised at all by Evan’s rather eccentric behavior. They immediately set up a tea table, tea set, chairs, and even put up a screen. There was also a vase on the table, with plum blossoms emitting a faint fragrance.

Seeing this scene, Carson couldn’t help but admire secretly, thinking this is the true style of a wealthy young master!

Exquisite!

Evan Foster smiled, ”Brother Lin, if you don’t mind, join me for a cup of tea. I happen to have a small jar of Dragon Hidden Tea, let’s taste it together?”

Carson had no intention of engaging with Evan, but since he had already extended the invitation, refusing would seem a bit petty. So he readily accepted, ”Then it would be impolite to refuse!”

Evan Foster laughed, ”Drinking alone is no fun. Us meeting on this ship is fate.”

An adorable maiden set up a small stove, poured spring water into it, and started boiling water to brew tea.

Evan Foster smiled and asked, ”Brother Lin, where are you headed?”

Carson replied, ”Northern Mystic Sect.”

Evan Foster looked surprised, ”What a coincidence, I’m also going to Northern Mystic Sect.”

Carson was slightly taken aback, such a coincidence?

”I’m going to Northern Mystic Sect at someone’s request, delivering a letter while traveling. What about you, Young Master Lin?”

Evan Foster smiled, ”I’m going for a fight.”

Carson looked surprised, ”Fighting with whom?”

”Luis Heath, that third guy on the Heavenly Profound Immortal Ranking...”

Carson blinked, ”Immortal Ranking?”

Evan Foster smiled and explained, ”Since you’re new to Heavenly Profound Continent, it’s normal not to know. Among cultivators on Heavenly Profound Continent, each realm has a ranking list, such as the Heavenly Immortal Ranking, Golden Immortal Ranking, True Immortal Ranking, Earth Immortal Ranking, and Human Immortal Ranking. Each list contains only ten positions, representing the top ten in each realm.”

Carson asked in surprise, ”Top ten? With so many cultivators on Heavenly Profound Continent, can they really be ranked?”

Evan Foster laughed, ”Actually, this is quite simple. Those on the list are generally those with outstanding talents and abilities at each realm. Randomly pick ten, and naturally, some will be dissatisfied and challenge the talents on the list. If they win, they replace them, and if they lose, they drop off the list. With many challenges over time, those who remain are indeed the strong ones.”

Carson thought for a moment, and realized this actually made sense!

Although it can’t be completely objective and fair, as long as the ranking has existed for a long time and has been challenged by countless strong individuals, its authenticity naturally increases.

Carson curiously looked at the man in front of him, ”Luis Heath is ranked third on the True Immortal Ranking, what about you, what’s your rank?”

”Seventh, because I was born with Innate deficiencies, I’ve always been sickly. My family named me Wu Bing, hoping I’d be free of illness, but alas, things didn’t go as hoped. I’ve always been plagued with illnesses, so people call me the Sick Young Master.”

Carson clasped his hands in respect, ”Seventh on the True Immortal Ranking, impressive!”

Evan Foster waved his hand, ”Only a True Immortal, if I’m ever seventh on the Heavenly Immortal Ranking, then Brother Lin, you can flatter me.”

Carson laughed, ”Why did Young Master Foster decide to challenge Luis Heath? Aren’t there others ranked above seventh?”

Evan Foster smirked subtly, his smile surprisingly refined, yet his words were filled with boldness.

”Luis Heath is scum, beating him will bring me satisfaction!”
