The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1540: Chapter 1540: This is not alarmist talk, this is the inevitable result!

Carson Flores quietly listened from the side, understanding Ellen Stone’s intention.

He did not want to get involved in the impending chaos, or rather, he felt he could not afford to. After all, this was not a mere clash between sects; it was a massive upheaval across the Immortal Domains, and those entangled in it wouldn’t be just sects alone.

Though the Southern Sea’s Cystal Palace was powerful, it might not be able to stop the overwhelming tide if a war broke out.

He preferred to avoid meddling, yet Nico Weaver had shown kindness to Ellen Stone, so Ellen Stone was willing to protect Alfred Weaver’s safety.

What he said was also true—had Nico Weaver been around, those seeking to rebel would have to consider carefully. However, Alfred Weaver was ultimately too young and not strong enough. How could he command respect this way?

Alfred Weaver fell silent.

Carson Flores thought for a moment and said, ”Elder Stone, this statement is inaccurate!”

Ellen Stone turned to look at Carson Flores without speaking, but her gaze was sharp like a sword, threatening to pierce Carson Flores’s body.

Carson Flores cupped his hands in salute: ”White Crane Immortal Sect, Heavenly Sword Peak’s Master, Carson Flores, greets Elder Stone.”

”Heavenly Sword Peak’s Master?”

Ellen Stone’s eyes narrowed slightly: ”What’s your relationship with Bank Austin?”

Carson Flores replied: ”Bank Austin is my mentor.”

Ellen Stone’s gaze showed slight surprise: ”Bank Austin left the Thunder Immortal Realm thousands of years ago. Rumor has it he left an inheritance. Did you receive the Heavenly Sword Inheritance?”

Carson Flores calmly answered: ”Yes.”

Carson Flores quoted his identity, raising his own worth, hoping what he said would attract Ellen Stone’s attention.

He wanted to help persuade Ellen Stone on Alfred Weaver’s behalf.

Ellen Stone nodded: ”Back then, your mentor came to the Southern Sea’s shore to challenge me. I didn’t want to deal with him, but to force my hand, he caused havoc over my Cystal Palace for three days, injuring countless of my disciples. You admitting your identity today is quite coincidental.”

Uh...

Carson Flores suddenly felt embarrassed. Originally, he wanted to emphasize his identity, but didn’t expect to highlight a grudge, effectively delivering himself to trouble.

Mentor was truly formidable!

Despite others ignoring him and not wanting to fight, he went to their Dragon Palace to cause chaos, injuring disciples, forcing them to respond...

Carson Flores braced himself and cupped his hands: ”I heard that after my mentor comprehended the Heavenly Sword, he liked to challenge others to understand the Sword Dao and enhance his strength. Elder Stone is a superior figure; surely, you wouldn’t mind such trivial matters...”

Ellen Stone stared at Carson Flores, her aura completely locking onto him: ”But I do mind! If someone came to your place causing chaos for three days, wouldn’t you mind?”

Carson Flores cupped his hands, seriously: ”I apologize on behalf of my mentor to the elder. If the elder wants to blame someone, I am willing to bear it all.”

It was as if the air froze at that moment.

Ellen Stone stared at Carson Flores for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed: ”You do show some responsibility. I originally thought you’d explain that back then, you didn’t know him, haven’t yet joined his sect.”

Carson Flores blinked slightly, and immediately understood. Ellen Stone was testing him.

If he evaded responsibility, Ellen Stone would certainly look down on him and wouldn’t listen to him further.

Alfred Weaver chimed in to diffuse the situation: ”And then, Uncle Stone, did you fight him?”

”Of course, I fought.”

Ellen Stone replied: ”We fought on the Southern Sea for half a day, both severely wounded. He even invited me for a drink. When leaving, he said he’d come back once he fully comprehended, but unfortunately, later I heard he’d left the Thunder Immortal Realm, unknown whereabouts, never coming back to find me...”

Carson Flores was inwardly shocked, Ellen Stone was so strong!

Previously, Carson Flores had only heard stories of Bank Austin sweeping through undefeated, yet now it was the first time hearing about a rival who fought to a draw.

Alfred Weaver praised: ”Bank Austin was born with exceptional talent, highly gifted in the Sword Dao, his Heavenly Sword sweeping the Immortal Domains, rarely encountering weak opponents. Uncle Stone fighting him to a draw shows incredible strength!”

Ellen Stone shook her head: ”Not quite. When he sought me, he wasn’t yet too well-known; his comprehension of the Sword Dao wasn’t yet refined, his strength hadn’t reached its peak. I think his reluctance to revisit me later was probably because his Sword Dao had fully matured, with immense improvement in strength compared to before. Given such strength, defeating me would be easy, leaving no meaning in a repeat challenge.”

Carson Flores blinked, so that’s how it was!

Bank Austin’s early opponent?

Ellen Stone looked intently at Carson Flores: ”Boy, you just said I was wrong, then tell me, where have I erred.”

Carson Flores was about to speak when Ellen Stone warned: ”Don’t you say that Nico Weaver showed me kindness, and if I don’t help, I’d be ungrateful. I won’t take that, not even if Alfred Weaver comes here, my answer would be the same...”

Carson Flores smiled: ”Elder Stone misunderstood, I absolutely didn’t think that. I merely feel that if we truly follow your previous proposal, the final outcome would be Cristopher Hopkins Immortal certainly dying, and Elder Stone would likely be difficult to avoid disaster as well. The Cystal Palace would probably be destroyed...”

Before Ellen Stone could reply, the stern-featured woman behind her coldly said: ”Boy, don’t make alarmist talk and speak nonsense, or I’ll tear your mouth apart!”

Carson Flores smiled calmly: ”I absolutely am not speaking alarmistly, for this is an inevitable trend, an inevitable outcome, no one can change it!”
