The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1537: Chapter 1537: Ellen Stone, Must Meet!

”Where are we heading now? Are we still going to the Southern Sea Crystal Palace?”

”Yes!”

Alfred Weaver’s expression was resolute: ”Although we’ve temporarily escaped danger, Maggie Fitzgerald clearly won’t miss this chance to kill me. Her people are surely watching everywhere, looking for another opportunity to strike.”

”Even if we return at this moment, it will be extremely dangerous. The only safe option is to go to the Southern Sea and gain Ellen Stone’s support. As long as he protects us, we won’t be in danger anymore.”

Carson Flores worriedly said, ”What if he’s unwilling?”

Alfred Weaver seemed to have thought it through already and answered, ”My father has been kind to him. Even if he doesn’t want to get involved in this conflict, he will definitely ensure my safety. Otherwise, when my father returns someday, how will he explain himself to my father?”

Carson Flores thought it made sense and said, ”Maggie Fitzgerald might have predicted you would seek out Ellen Stone when she ambushed us here. Continuing forward, we might encounter danger...”

Vance Holt spoke up, ”Cecilia Browning is still injured. Perhaps I should handle this. Even if I encounter enemies, escaping alone shouldn’t be too problematic...”

Alfred Weaver shook her head: ”I am the daughter of the Domain Master and the acting Domain Master. If I can’t go to meet Ellen Stone openly, he might think the Celestial Palace has lost its power and will be even less willing to get involved, let alone stand on our side.”

Carson Flores considered it: ”That’s not a difficult problem. My Windroll Banner can conceal people within it. The four of us together would attract attention, but reducing the number and disguising slightly would make us less recognizable.”

Alfred Weaver nodded in agreement and thought, ”Aunt Lei is injured, and I’m easy to spot. How about I and Aunt Lei enter the Windroll Banner, and Carson, you go with Uncle Vance, disguise yourselves, and enter South Snipe City, then come up with a plan.”

”The city is crowded, making it easy to hide, and you have a spell to conceal life forces and aura. As long as we don’t show ourselves, even if they seek our information in the city, they surely won’t find us.”

Carson Flores smiled and said, ”Once we’re in the city, we can figure out a way to find people from the Crystal Palace. There’s no rush, as long as we’re not detected, they won’t know where we are.”

”As for entering South Snipe City, we can disguise as merchants or others, and board a merchant ship to enter openly.”

Alfred Weaver laughed, ”Speaking of escaping, you do have much experience.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”I have no choice, facing danger numerous times from the Mortal Realm to the Barbaric Wilderness Realm. Escaping is my forte, otherwise, I would have been done for.”

Alfred Weaver nodded: ”Alright, you lead the rest of the journey, we’ll follow your lead.”

Carson Flores turned to look at Vance Holt and Cecilia Browning, both nodded, indicating their trust in him.

If it weren’t for Carson’s intervention earlier, they might all have perished by now.

Carson Flores returned Alfred Weaver and Cecilia Browning to the Windroll Banner and set off with Vance Holt.

It’s not that Carson Flores was reluctant to entrust the Windroll Banner to Vance Holt and let him include himself, but having spent time with him, Carson found Vance Holt, though strong, was straightforward and liked to act directly, not skilled at scheming or plotting.

Simply put, he is Nico Weaver’s loyal subordinate, suited for charging into battle but not for scheming and plotting.

Vance Holt, with great power and prestige in the Celestial Palace, is a prominent figure and interacting with common folks in the market doesn’t quite suit him, making it easy for others to notice anomalies.

Carson Flores, originally from a common background, despite being an Immortal now, had not changed much from his Mortal Realm days.

After disguising and changing attire, the two entered East River City, a thousand miles from South Snipe City.

In East River City, they rented a courtyard and stayed for a few days until Cecilia Browning’s injuries were mostly healed, then they resumed their journey.

Carson Flores and Vance Holt disguised themselves as a merchant’s guards and followed the merchant boldly on a commercial flying boat into South Snipe City.

Carson Flores and Vance Holt followed behind the merchant, calmly stepping out of the Airship Docking Field.

After only a few steps, Carson Flores felt someone watching him. Pretending to browse around, his eyes casually swept the surroundings and spotted the man observing him.

The man had set up a calligraphy and painting stall, with written words and painted art displayed. He sat on a chair, leisurely watching over his stall, holding a cup of tea, his gaze nonchalantly scanning everyone coming out of the Airship Docking Field.

His gaze swept over the rotund merchant in front, then over Carson Flores and Vance Holt, merely glancing over, apparently indifferent.

His eyes focused on those traveling alone or in groups of two or three, particularly pausing momentarily on young female cultivators.

Carson Flores glanced and then withdrew his gaze, indifferently following the merchant into the city.

The merchant was familiar with the area, easily made his way to a large inn, and promptly reserved a courtyard.

Carson Flores took out the Windroll Banner, releasing Alfred Weaver and Cecilia Browning.

”Someone is watching the entrance of the Airship Docking Field, probably Maggie Fitzgerald’s people...”
