The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1511: Chapter 1511: How about letting Daniela Moses serve you?

”Sir, please take a seat. Daniela is getting dressed and will be here shortly!”

”Mm.”

The madam respectfully closed the door, her face full of smiles.

No wonder—Carson Flores had given far too much.

Let alone having Daniela, the oiran, accompany him for one night; it was enough to buy her outright.

”Go, remind that girl Daniela to properly serve the guest. If he shows even the slightest dissatisfaction, I’ll have her hide!”

She paused, then called back the maid: ”Forget it, this matter is best handled personally by me!”

Inside the room, Carson stood by the window, leaning against the railing and gazing outward.

As expected of the oiran’s residence: a standalone building that offered serenity amidst the bustle. Though it wasn’t large, nestled in the marketplace, it was peaceful and quiet.

”Not bad, much more comfortable than a stay at an inn.”

Soon, a table of food and wine was served, though the oiran named Daniela still hadn’t arrived.

Carson wasn’t bothered and began drinking on his own, allowing himself a moment of relaxation.

The afternoon had been spent in continuous alchemy, his mental focus high and sustained. After such a busy day, he was indeed a bit fatigued.

As Carson drank, a soft sound came from the door.

The door opened, and a slender young woman stepped inside, bowing to Carson.

”Sir.”

Carson looked up to see the woman’s face hidden beneath a black veil. The veil’s material was unknown but obscured most of her face, revealing only a pair of beautiful eyes.

Carson smiled. ”Daniela?”

”Yes. May I know how to address you, sir?”

Carson took a bite of his food. ”My surname is Flores.”

He glanced at the veil on her face, then raised his wine cup with a smile. ”Even indoors, must you wear a veil?”

Daniela chuckled softly. ”Isn’t it a way to add a bit of mystery? Do you wish for me to remove it, sir?”

Carson smiled. ”There’s no need. It’s up to you.”

Daniela blinked, staring at Carson. ”Sir, would you like me to accompany you while drinking?”

Carson waved his hand. ”No need. After this cup, I won’t drink any more.”

Daniela’s gaze seemed slightly puzzled. ”Then, sir, would you like to bathe? I can prepare hot water for you.”

Carson nodded. ”Alright.”

Daniela stepped out and gave an order, then returned to the room.

Carson noticed Daniela standing in the middle of the room, staring at him as if unsure what to do. He glanced around, pointing casually at the ancient zither placed nearby.

”Miss Daniela, if you are idle, perhaps you could play a tune for me?”

”Alright!”

Daniela sat behind the zither, made a brief preparation, and began playing. Carson didn’t recognize the melody, but it sounded quite pleasant.

Listening to the tune, Carson finished his cup of wine and set down the empty glass with satisfaction.

Though the wine couldn’t compare to immortal brews, it carried a unique charm—the flavor of earthly life.

Was Carson drinking wine? No, he was drinking solitude.

”Miss, the water is ready.”

The maiden’s voice quietly sounded at the door, tinged with a trace of nervousness.

Daniela finished her song, stood, and smiled gently. ”Sir, please, allow me to assist you in bathing.”

Carson waved his hand. ”No need. I’ll wash myself. You can keep playing.”

Daniela’s gaze showed surprise. ”Sir, why so? Is there something about me that displeases you?”

Carson smiled. ”I’m used to being on my own—not uncomfortable, it’s fine. Keep playing. Having your music as company is already uplifting.”

Daniela’s expression turned complicated. She looked at Carson for a brief moment before sitting back at the zither and once again playing softly.

Carson walked into the adjacent bathroom, shut the door, and immersed himself in steaming hot water, easing away the day’s weariness.

An Immortal’s Body, pure and pristine, but deep inside, Carson was still just a man.

A satisfying bath later, Carson changed into clean clothes and returned to the main room.

Daniela rested her hands atop the zither and gazed at Carson. ”Sir, it’s late. Would you like to retire?”

Carson smiled. ”I plan to sleep. Miss Daniela, you may leave as you wish.”

Daniela’s gaze was stunned. ”Sir, what do you mean by this?”

Carson smiled. ”You may go and rest. Don’t concern yourself with me. I’ve already paid for everything.”

Daniela lowered her head, making it impossible to see her eyes. After a moment, she spoke softly. ”I know that you, sir, are an immortal from the heavens and would surely look down upon someone like me, unworthy as I am. But... if I leave like this, the madam will punish me...”

Carson smiled warmly. ”I came here simply to find a place to rest for a night. I’ll speak with her about it; you don’t need to worry.”

Daniela lifted her head, her eyes glimmering as they met Carson’s. ”You truly don’t need me to serve you? I promise I’ll be very obedient...”

Carson smiled. ”Not at all needed... Miss Daniela, though veiled, just looking at you reminds me of a friend of mine. You may go.”

In Daniela’s eyes flashed a hint of panic. She lowered her head and bowed. ”Then... Daniela will take her leave.”

Carson waved his hand and said no more.

Daniela walked slowly out of the room, closing the door behind her. She traversed the corridor and arrived at an adjacent room.

Opening the door, she entered. Inside stood four individuals, all of whom turned their gazes sharply toward Daniela.

Daniela shut the door behind her, a mischievous smile revealing itself in her eyes. ”I’ve been turned away...”
