The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1066: Chapter 1066: Help Me Kill Someone

”As long as we keep a low profile and don’t jump around too much, aside from Thunderous Mountain’s people who will probably be hell-bent on avenging themselves, it’s unlikely that people from other Sects will be keen on dealing with us. After all, they have no grudge against us, and there’s no benefit in them confronting us.”

”Avenging Boone Browning? Boone Browning is already dead, and the dead don’t need explanations. It’s the living who need to take action!”

Carson Flores immediately felt Jorge Gross had a point, ”So what do we do now?”

”We inquire discreetly and keep an eye on the Central State Alliance. They are powerful, have many connections and methods, and they might just find what we’re looking for.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Okay, I’ll follow your arrangements.”

Jorge Gross said, ”For this revenge, I think they shouldn’t get involved. After all, we’re not out to annihilate them completely. We mainly want to kill Bentley Frost and Deacon Wolf and take back what we deserve. So just the three of us will make our move. What do you think?”

Carson Flores agreed readily, ”No problem at all, I said I’ll listen to you guys!”

Jorge Gross nodded, ”Okay, then I’ll have the others wait for us somewhere. We’ll operate separately, and first go fix the boss’s armor.”

Speaking of the damaged armor, Carson Flores remembered those eerie black lines and immediately asked, ”What was that black bead Boone Browning threw that day? The explosion and those black threads seemed very powerful...”

Jorge Gross replied, ”It was a Void Shattering Pellet. It contains complex spatial Runes. It’s basically using the disruption of stable spatial Runes to cause an imbalance of space, creating void cracks, using those to harm others. It’s very difficult to make and very rare...”

Carson Flores realized, ”That power is indeed substantial. To think that it cut through King Duncan’s ultra-hard armor as if it were grease, is it easy to repair?”

Kellan Gentry sighed, ”It’s very difficult to completely repair it. The main thing is to fix the damaged Runes on the surface. Otherwise, the flow of Spiritual Energy won’t be smooth, which will be a big disadvantage in battle.”

Carson Flores asked, ”Where can we get it repaired?”

”Heavenly Origin City.”

Jorge Gross laughed, ”Heavenly Origin City is one of the busier large cities in the Central Divine Continent. It has many capable people, including an Artifact Refining Master who can repair his armor.”

”And there, with all kinds of people mingling together, it’ll be convenient to track down various kinds of information.”

”Okay!”

After Jorge Gross gave instructions to the Bandit Group members, the three of them set off on their journey to Heavenly Origin City.

Several days later, they arrived at Heavenly Origin City.

Kellan Gentry donned a wig and put on a disguise; there was no choice – his build and bald head were as attention-grabbing as a glowing light bulb in a crowd.

As one of the Bandit Kings, Kellan Gentry was well-known throughout the Central Divine Continent. There were probably many who could recognize him, so for safety’s sake, a disguise was necessary.

After a brief discussion, Carson Flores, attired in sumptuous clothes like a rich young master, was followed by Kellan Gentry and Jorge Gross. Kellan Gentry was imposing like a door god, and Jorge Gross looked refined, very much like an advisor.

The three men walking down the street looked every bit like a wealthy young master with his advisor and bodyguard in tow.

Nobody would think that a bodyguard following behind a young master would be the notorious King Duncan Bandit King.

Following Jorge Gross’s lead, Carson Flores located the residence of the Artifact Refining Master.

A grand and serene mansion – the three met with the Artifact Refining Master Douglas Meyers in a spacious room.

After explaining their intention, Kellan Gentry brought out his armor. Douglas Meyers glanced at it and then lifted his head to look at Kellan Gentry’s face.

”Vajra Bandits?”

Kellan Gentry grinned, ”That’s me.”

Douglas Meyers spoke with a leisurely tone, ”You’ve got some nerve. The Central Divine Continent Alliance is on the hunt for you, and you dare to enter Heavenly Origin City where there are plenty of Alliance members...”

Kellan Gentry laughed, ”If we’re discovered, it’s simple – we’ll just fight our way out. What’s there to fear? Besides, we know who our enemies are. When Boone Browning killed our families, not sparing women or children, it was only right that I killed him!”

Douglas Meyers inquired, ”The Mystical Immortal Token?”

Kellan Gentry affirmed, ”Yes. The Arhat Bandit King Bentley Frost had a spy inside, who got wind of it. He teamed up with us to make a preemptive strike and seize the Mystical Immortal Token. The Arhat Bandit King and the Skeleton Bandit King then joined forces, trying to take us down while we were severely wounded. They miscalculated though.”

Douglas Meyers nodded, ”Okay, I can fix your armor, but it won’t be cheap.”

Kellan Gentry asked, ”Name your price!”

Douglas Meyers stated flatly, ”You help me kill someone.”

Kellan Gentry blinked, ”Does this person deserve it?”

Douglas Meyers replied coldly, ”The Eight Great Brigand Kings are pretty well-known in the Central Divine Continent. What, do the Bandit Kings also categorize whom they kill?”

Kellan Gentry laughed, ”Killing those who deserve it leaves my conscience clear, but killing those who don’t still troubles me afterward...”

Douglas Meyers said indifferently, ”Well, you can rest assured. On the surface, this person seems honorable and upright, a gentleman, but behind closed doors, he’s done all sorts of evil. Not to mention, the number of beautiful women who’ve died at his hands is well over a hundred...”

”An old lecher?”

Kellan Gentry laughed heartily, ”Done, I’ll take the job. Name him, and he’s as good as dead!”
