The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1064: Chapter 1064: Hug One and Prove It to Us!

Kellan Gentry had been very clear on the details of how he had ventured alone into Easty Prefecture to kill the Demon Emperor and the Saintess, and every member of the Bandit Group was aware. They had never expected the Saintess to actually appear before them!

Lilianna Norman turned her head and smiled bitterly to herself; everything had been fine until a gust of wind spoiled it.

”Yes, I am Lilianna Norman. What do you want to do?”

Kellan Gentry squinted his eyes and turned to look at Carson Flores, ”Conner Flores, did you say she’s your wife?”

Carson Flores felt his scalp tingle for a moment, but now there was no choice but to brace himself, ”Okay, I lied, she’s not my wife, just my lover...”

Lover?

Violeta Herrera turned to glance at Carson Flores, her mood complex. At this point, you’re still making things up? Do you think they’ll believe you?

Jorge Gross stared at Carson Flores and said sternly, ”I’ve heard that the Demon Race Holy Maiden was abducted by the new Human Emperor at the Eternal Mine in Easty Prefecture. It’s said that the Human Emperor is a young man, the direct disciple of Daxton Campbell from Nutwood Mountain, named Carson Flores...”

There was no need to hide anything now that it had come to this.

In the shocked and incredulous gazes of everyone, Carson Flores gave a wry smile, ”Alright, there’s no hiding it anymore, I am Carson Flores.”

Carson Flores!

The new Human Emperor!

Everyone stared at Carson Flores, dumbfounded, with a single thought echoing in their minds.

The Human Emperor is actually robbing with us, taking part in banditry!

Kellan Gentry’s eyes widened, ”You are the Human Emperor?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”If being recognized and being able to control the Emperor Seal in combat counts, then yes, I indeed am the Human Emperor.”

Kellan Gentry’s gaze returned to Lilianna Norman’s face, ”Everyone outside says you abducted the Demon Race Holy Maiden, but you claim you two are lovers...”

At this point, Carson Flores had no choice but to continue making up stories, as he couldn’t be sure how much Kellan Gentry hated the Demon Race or how resolute he was in his determination to kill the Demon Emperor and the Demon Race Holy Maiden.

”I’ve known her for some time. Previously, in the True Dragon Secret Realm, we faced the True Dragon Soul together, and I saved her life...”

Carson Flores’s face showed a subtle smile, ”This time when I went to Easty Prefecture, I ran into her again. It just happened that she was also facing some internal difficulties in the Demon Race, so I took the opportunity to save her and took her away. We’ve been living in Greown City these days until you guys showed up...”

Kellan Gentry’s eyes flickered shrewdly, ”I just don’t believe it.”

Carson Flores looked helpless, ”Well, there’s nothing else to say about it, I can’t prove otherwise, can I?”

Kellan Gentry snorted, ”How can you not prove it? You claim you’re lovers, right? A kiss, a hug, should be doable, right?”

After a pause, Kellan Gentry spoke loudly, ”Carson Flores, you saved us and I thank you. But I’m sworn enemies with the Demon Race. I went alone to kill the Demon Emperor and the Saintess and almost got killed by her, I’ve always remembered that!”

”If indeed you two are lovers, because of you, Carson Flores, I’ll let her off. But if you aren’t, then don’t blame me for being ruthless. You saving me and my hatred for the Demon Race are two separate matters.”

Zaire Schneider beside him urged, ”Since you’re lovers, why not just prove it casually? You know the grudge our boss holds with the Demon Race...”

Carson Flores promptly agreed, ”Alright, it’s not ideal to act out a private scene in public. At least a hug as proof should be acceptable, right?”

Kellan Gentry nodded, ”It’s acceptable, the Demon Race Holy Maiden surely wouldn’t lower herself just because she’s afraid of death merely to pretend. If you two hug, that will show you truly love each other, and are indeed lovers!”

”Okay!”

Carson Flores readily agreed, turned his back to Kellan Gentry and the others, and facing Lilianna Norman, quickly winked and whispered, ”Just go along with it, as they aren’t strangers...”

Lilianna Norman’s eyes showed shyness, and she hesitated slightly, but then thought about how close they had gotten while she took care of Carson Flores, and after all, what was a hug?

Wasn’t Carson Flores considering her safety too? Just one hug, and she could appease the hatred between herself and Kellan Gentry out of respect for Carson Flores.

Carson Flores spread his arms and walked up to her, but did not hug her immediately, giving her the choice instead.

If she wanted to hug, they would hug; if she did not want to, she could run, and Carson Flores would buy her time.

Lilianna Norman, ever perceptive, saw Carson Flores slightly tilt his chin towards the distance and understood what he meant.

Hug?

If it’s just a hug, then let it be; after all, it’s just an embrace, not a kiss...

Friends can hug each other too, right?

With this rationalization in mind, Lilianna Norman appeared calm as she opened her arms and threw herself into Carson Flores’s embrace, hugging him tight.

The two bodies pressed close together.

The surrounding bandits suddenly burst into raucous cheers and whistles.

Who are these people?

One is the Human Emperor, and the other is the Demon Race Holy Maiden, and they are actually lovers!

How explosive is that!

In past history, such an explosive incident had never occurred!

Lilianna Norman’s cheeks flushed as she stepped back from Carson Flores’s embrace and coldly said to Conor Gentry, ”It’s not that I’m afraid of you, I just didn’t want him to have a conflict with you. Are we good now?”
