Three Towers Game

Chapter 1543: Chapter 495: The Most Flamboyant Strategy (Part 3)

The organizers immediately contacted the mammon squad guarding the players’ repository.

The squad learned of Red Armor Pill’s defeat and realized the situation wasn’t simple, so they directly contacted Mammon.

The Four Emperors mecha, Materialist Mammon, was extremely surprised to learn of Red Armor Pill’s defeat.

In his plan, Red Armor Pill was supposed to lose in the thirteenth match to pave the way for the debut of that new machine—the Dragon Falcon. The ninja versus samurai showdown would ignite the audience.

This was his script.

But now, this script was disrupted by an outsider.

He was actually quite worried about the outsider fighting passively.

But now, as the news transmitted layer by layer, Mammon became interested:

”In this Mechanical City, there aren’t many variables. In the digital age, any variable is actually manufactured by us few.”

”Zeroer Asdoku? Probably not him; he’s on my side, waiting for me to provide new champion candidates.”

”Now it seems it should be the other two messing around. They likely sent powerful underlings to compete, aiming to showcase their skills before God and secure the Divine Dawn delivery opportunity!”

”Just wondering if it’s Timekeeper Kronos or Dream Weaver Metheus.”

Mammon thought this because, in his view, transporting Divine Dawn would potentially reveal the ultimate secret of Lord Taurus, who surpasses Alpha.

As significant figures within the Non-human Association’s mechanical branch, although they are not the Mechanical God itself, everyone desires to master the secrets of ”Divine Dawn.”

All along, the transport of Divine Dawn was arranged between the Zeroer and myself, while the other two managed the ”order” and ”culture” of the Mechanical City.

But undoubtedly, they also aspire to know the secrets of Divine Dawn.

”Looks like this guy plans to achieve the championship by accumulating victories. To oblige, set up matches with all my underlings, sorted by their rank. I refuse to believe a Dream Weaver or a Timekeeper can craft machines stronger than my best warriors.”

...

...

The Mechanical Race processes quickly.

Wen Xishu didn’t have to wait long before receiving some news. A staff member approached Wen Xishu and courteously said:

”Mr. Shadow Warrior, next we will arrange your next match immediately. You’ll have ten minutes to rest, would that be okay?”

”Of course, but it would be better if I could skip the resting period.”

Indeed, the staff member had this feeling... of meeting someone rushing towards their doom.

He could only simulate a smile and then leave.

However, right before he left, Wen Xishu gave him a lesson, teaching him what it truly means to tempt fate.

”And, could I fight all at once? To be honest, I’m here to win the championship, but I’m short on time. Maybe you could ask your boss if I can fight twenty-three all at once?”

”If not, groups of five or ten will do.”

Sometimes, to disable a machine, you don’t need to provide it with absurdly complex calculations, just absurdly bold statements.

Evidently, the staff member’s core got overheated:

”Ah?”

Wen Xishu repeated.

The staff member was silent for a long time, and a deep-seated fear of eccentricity made him nod:

”Then I... then I’ll report to see what they can do.”

”Great, I’m waiting for your good news.” Wen Xishu smiled.

He was keenly aware that having defeated Red Armor Pill, which likely wasn’t meant to be defeated in Mammon’s script, had undoubtedly caught Mammon’s attention.

But since it caught attention, so be it. In the Mechanical City, it’s quite challenging to carry out some tasks without attracting the notice of Four Emperor-level mechs.

As Daedalus knows Pisces and Scorpio, I guess the Four Emperors know as well.

So, if accomplishing a task quietly is not feasible, then go all out. Make it clear that you come with backing.

Just because one becomes a silicon-based life doesn’t mean throwing social conventions out the window, right? Impossible.

The staff soon reached Wen Xishu:

”Esteemed Shadow Warrior, there is no rule like that in the competition, but Lord Mammon feels your idea is quite creative. He agreed that you can challenge three machines initially, and if you win, in the next match, you will challenge twenty machines at once!”

Wen Xishu nodded, thinking this was acceptable too.

His confidence rested in—while dealing with Red Armor Pill, during the high-speed hovering combat strikes, he covertly altered form.

Wen Xishu also thoroughly realized...

In combat mode, how the viewpoints of Scorpio and Pisces are.

This also gave Wen Xishu grounds for arrogance.

...

...

Arena.

The host quickly released the news to stir the audience’s emotions.

”Audience, our rookie, the dark horse Shadow Warrior, decides to immediately start the second match! Let us cheer for him!”

”Will this fierce momentum be blocked by someone?”

”And next, I will announce Shadow Warrior’s opponents.”

”Seven consecutive wins for Waste Land Artist—Severed String!”

Upon hearing Wen Xishu is going to engage in continuous combat, Old Yan panicked initially, but upon learning the opponent is only Seven-win Severed String, which seems like an assembly of countless instruments as a mecha, he sighed in relief.

That machine is strong, but clearly less powerful than Red Armor Pill.

Yet soon, Old Yan experienced a roller-coaster feeling, his emotions wildly fluctuating.

Because the host continued reporting:

”Simultaneously battling Shadow Warrior will be the Eleven-win Decapitator—Lu Yishi Liu Ship.”

”And the shining star of the arena a few days ago, Six-win Rampaging Repairer—The Wrench!”

”Yes, our Shadow Warrior will challenge three machines simultaneously. Oh my, will this be the most unfair? Or the most thrilling match I’ve ever commented on?”

Quickly, three machines entered the arena.

Rampaging Repairer—The Wrench, relies on powerful repair capabilities, self-healing ability to defeat opponents.

It appears like an ordinary, dirty industrial repair mech, laden with various tools—wrenches, welding torches, hydraulic pliers. Bulky in form.

Whereas Decapitator—Lu Yishi Liu Ship is extraordinarily large but practically humanoid, merely his gigantic guillotine chariot serving as a vehicle.

As for Severed String, looks like a slim mech crafted from abandoned instruments, deliberately designed to give such an impression. The main silhouette is an electric guitar, limbs are strings and picks. Bright and exaggerated paint.

These three machines appeared simultaneously in the arena.

Old Yan feels...Wen Xishu was going insane. He had never seen such reckless fighting tactics.

Facing three at once, this was a first for the underground fight tournament, the news rapidly spread.

This was the effect Wen Xishu wanted.

He calmly walked toward the arena, at this moment, no one noticed, Wen Xishu seemed to have become a little slender.

If examined closely, you’d notice beneath the cape, half of his face transformed from a male profile to a female outline.

When not in combat mode, Wen Xishu didn’t quite notice.

He only felt...well, the Pisces form is quite alluring.

But sensing the environment as dangerous, entering combat mode, he immediately experienced a shift.

Time—became extremely slow.

Everything around seemed to move at a snail’s pace.

This is the world through Pisces eyes.

Wen Xishu could even observe several changes in this incredibly slow-motion world.

That’s predictions of future actions within the range of other mechs.

These predictions are not algorithm-based.

But are rooted in time.

As the crystal wall reddened, and the audience’s cheers skyrocketed... Wen Xishu foresaw the outcome of this showdown.

Though in everyone’s view, everything was just beginning.

Decapitator Lu Yishi Liu initiated the attack, Wen Xishu noted that this massive guillotine machine possessed the ability to absorb metal.

It could instantly absorb another machine, then execute directly.

Simultaneously, Severed String would release sonic waves capable of causing physical collisions within a brief time.

Blocking his path.

The duo had already started cooperating.

But Wen Xishu had spoilers from time.

The battle unfolded in a flash.

Yet, to Wen Xishu, everything was astoundingly slow. Besides, Wen Xishu could also activate ”simulation mode.”

Simulation mode allows one to perform various actions but, like the Prince of Persia’s Sands of Time, permits return at the point of error.

Thus, Wen Xishu had discovered a way to defeat the enemy. His movements were resourceful and efficient, feeling so at ease, he even couldn’t help but comment:

”Good thing the Pisces stats aren’t unruly, otherwise manipulating time would indeed be excessively unfair.”
