Three Towers Game

Chapter 1506: Chapter 483: Deceit Tower Diary_3

”In this game, many of my personal life goals have turned into tangible beads that I must strive to collect.”

”I feel like A Snake, consuming one goal after another, but the more I consume, the more bloated my body becomes. Every time I achieve a life goal, I don’t feel like I gain anything...”

”On the contrary, I only feel the world becoming more oppressive, smaller. I have achieved academic success, but I have lost childhood innocence forever.”

”I gained a decent job, but I’ve also forever imprisoned myself there.”

”I fulfilled marriage, but that place called the new home seems to only suffocate me.”

”I gained children, yet I also became old, outdated.”

”I’m continually devouring various targets, but my world keeps getting smaller, my paths less frequent. It feels like... I’ve been trapped.”

”The things I devoured became part of my body, and that part became my fatal weakness at the mere touch.”

”I almost died on this level, but I wasn’t willing... I couldn’t find a way to break through.”

”If Younger Brother Wen were to play this gluttonous snake game... he might choose completely different beads.”

”I chose beads related to academics, love, career, family, etc... Deep down, I’m just an ordinary person. Now, academics, love, career, family are about to block me completely within Deceit Tower.”

”But if I choose differently, would it be better? Can I beautify the path I never took?”

”If I choose differently, would I then regret not having academics, love, career...”

”I don’t know. Perhaps even Younger Brother Wen doesn’t know the answer to this question. Fortunately, just as my head was about to crash into the bead called ’Family,’ like a snake swallowing its own body...”

”I didn’t die.”

”I should have died, but a strong will to survive made me start crazily devouring A Snake. At that moment, I finally realized, I am Zheng Zai, not A Snake... I’m not a woman trapped by life.”

”I... relied on talent, started devouring her body.”

”It seems I’ve hit a bug. I am a gluttonous snake, a snake that can eat its own tail, and it seems because of this, I won’t die on this level.”

”Touching a bead will deal me tremendous harm and cause death, but consuming a bead grants me plenty of life force.”

”Ultimately, I achieved a fourth-level completion. The Heart Inquiry posed several questions, once more enhancing my sequence.”

”Ah... as if I’m walking further and further down the path of consumption, I once detested my ability, even wore a metal muzzle to prevent devouring others.”

”But if... if I can devour others’ misfortunes, I’m willing to accept this fate.”

”When I finally awoke, started devouring A Snake, I could even hear her gratitude.”

”Sorry, I’m not Younger Brother Wen, I didn’t give you the best fate trajectory...”

Interesting.

Wen Xishu always knew, Old Zheng was a very kind person. Yet this kind of person acquired the sequence of ’devouring others.’

This sequence seems to have been enhanced more than once.

It always feels... Old Zheng might become an unconventional pathfinder of Deceit Tower in the future.

However, indeed, Old Zheng’s tower-climbing report is not suitable for others to learn from.

Wen Xishu could discern, Old Zheng was trying hard to analyze ’A Snake.’ He probably could guess that the A Snake in Desire Tower was a pitiable person.

Wen Xishu glanced again at this tower-climbing report akin to a diary from Old Zheng.

This is practically a menu, a recipe.

Others’ tower-climbing involves manipulative tactics, battling wits and courage, decoding suspense, and even paranormal horror.

Old Zheng’s tower-climbing can almost be summarized in eight words:

Old Zheng explores, eats steadfastly.

Wen Xishu is stunned. Almost every level involved carefully consuming the boss guarding the level.

Even covered with a sense of remorse, having had to eat in order to survive.

Although it’s all about eating through levels, Old Zheng did indeed diligently record every level’s content.

Wen Xishu has a particular fondness for Old Zheng. Despite Old Zheng’s tower-climbing lacking any merit, always ending by eating...

However, Wen Xishu did genuinely extract useful information for himself. This came from a report three days ago.

Old Zheng is indeed climbing the tower at a rapid pace.

”Level thirty-five, Pet Hospital.”

”This time the scene... Sorry, I ate quite a lot again. Yet I didn’t achieve the conclusion with the highest completion.”

”According to Younger Brother Wen, all monsters in Deceit Tower have corresponding presences in Desire Tower... This time, I think the monster was a pet doctor.”

”This doctor named Gai Ze is quite a responsible doctor, but indeed fairly... insanely in Deceit Tower. He wants to cage people, then based on those people’s behaviors, I must find pets matching them.”

”If I picked correctly, Gai Ze would kill the people in cages and let the pets witness their owner’s death process.”

”If I picked incorrectly... then I’d be caged.”

”I’ve indeed never owned a pet, don’t know what excesses pet owners have done to dogs, nor possess Younger Brother Wen’s ability to analyze based on owners’ characteristics what traits their pets might have.”

”This level has an extremely challenging puzzle; I chose to directly start eating... Sorry, I truly shouldn’t have done this, but I had no choice.”

”I consumed Gai Ze, as well as all people and pets large and small... Unexpectedly, I unlocked a rather decent ending.”

”When Gai Ze died, with a very frantic tone he said - This way too is good, this way too is good. I was once a veterinarian, my greatest sorrow not being the animals’ deaths, but many owners who despite raising pets, due to being unable to face the pet’s death, aren’t present during euthanasia... Do you know, till death, pets are still searching for their owners.”

”This was Gai Ze’s philosophy, he seemed to have gained an ability to control many small animals or sense these animals’ resentment.”

”Ah, certain solutions must exist that could have eased Gai Ze’s obsession, but I didn’t manage...”

”Sorry, Gai Ze, you must really love these animals, but you and they... were eaten by me.”

”I’m simply a brute! I even felt they tasted good.”

”After devouring Gai Ze, I unexpectedly found a letter tucked in Gai Ze’s clothes.”

”Turns out this is Mo’en City, where there exists an animal protection organization viewing animals’ lives as more precious than humans’.”

”The letter mentioned an organization named Non-human Association. It seems as long as one possesses features of hating being human or disdaining humans, they can join Non-human Association.”

”The leader of Non-human Association is the renowned... Taurus. And this letter included a membership application form for Non-human Association.”

Wen Xishu saw here and became very intrigued. In Wen Xishu’s impression, Taurus is related to competitions.

Taurus, Libra, are both mysteries.

Yet at this moment, Wen Xishu was surprised to see Taurus in a level nearly unrelated to Taurus’s theme.

This made him feel something was off.

Coincidentally, Zheng Zai’s report wrote:

”This letter... became my invitation. Speaking of which, seems like I always gain favorability points from Taurus.”

Wen Xishu was shocked.

He didn’t gain Taurus’s favorability as easily, yet Old Zheng somehow ’always manages to.’

”Old Zheng’s completion usually ranges around four-level, occasionally three-level or five-level not much.”

”Yet still can gain Taurus’s favorability; not simple at all.”

”Non-human Association, Pisces Association, New World... These organizations are increasing.”

Wen Xishu decided to inquire Old Zheng; last time he obtained an eerie competition invitation from Old Zheng, hosted by Taurus.

This time, Old Zheng acquired a membership application for Non-human Association.

According to Old Zheng’s last description, the effect of the membership application for Non-human Association goes like this:

”Truthfully fill out your circumstances to obtain opportunities to enter ’Mechanical Dao,’ ’Ten Thousand Beasts Path,’ ’God Dao,’ ’Vengeful Spirit Dao,’ ’Unknown Dao,’ passing through Three Towers into relevant areas.”

Wen Xishu had a faint inkling, potentially, this may be a... opportunity to learn Taurus’s secrets.

Yet he’s not in a rush, finding these tower-climbing diaries quite interesting.

Jiang Xue, Yin Ze, Xu Manjin, Xiaojin... Among these climbers, there are several familiar faces, and they all need to write tower-climbing reports.

Wen Xishu plans to carefully look at how different people climb towers in different styles.

Old Zheng’s style is indeed not imitable.
