Three Towers Game

Chapter 148: Chapter 78 Scorpio Knife_3

Unable to leave this room, unable to dispose of certain things, parts of the room would be restored... Considering the previous judgments about this room, Wen Xishu felt he had it figured out.

His hand reached for the knife with the scorpion pattern.

Throughout the entire encounter with An Jincheng, no options had appeared, but the moment Wen Xishu grasped the knife...

The options appeared.

[Aha, you found it. I like people who are good at finding things, but now I’m giving you the following choices—]

[1: Take this knife.]

[2: Destroy this knife.]

[3: Use this knife to kill the first person you see after taking it (there’s a surprise).]

[4: Don’t touch it.]

[5: Use it to cut your palm and let it drink your blood.]

Wen Xishu chose to take the knife. He would never choose the third option; that must be Scorpio’s prank.

The first person he would see after taking the knife would undoubtedly be An Jincheng. If he really killed An Jincheng, he wouldn’t even be able to complete his mission.

Destroy the knife... Wen Xishu didn’t believe he could destroy it either.

Taking the knife was the correct choice in Wen Xishu’s opinion.

Upon making his choice, Wen Xishu immediately received a prompt.

[You have obtained a special item: Scorpio’s Game Knife. Function: Will activate an additional hidden mission. Attribute: Can only be identified when successfully reaching the guide.]

Wen Xishu said:

”This is it, no doubt.”

An Jincheng found it hard to believe that such a knife could be the source of the building’s strangeness.

”This... Are you saying, this knife is the source? And you just found it?”

”It’s only the seventh level, any harder would be impolite,” Wen Xishu said.

An Jincheng asked, ”What seventh level?”

”Consider it as me going through stages. Your grandfather, and even you and your brother, are part of the seventh stage.”

”I feel like you’re treating me as a minor character in the early stages.”

”Don’t put it like that, God knows how important you and your brother will be in the future...”

Wen Xishu suddenly stopped talking.

Because at that moment, a new prompt appeared in his mind.

[The effect of the necklace has ended, and the side effect of gradual indifference starts to take effect. Units affected by the necklace will lose one level of favorability towards you every thirty seconds. When favorability drops to a certain level, it will turn into hostility, and they will attack you.]

This was the first prompt. He still hadn’t left the building within the duration of the necklace.

But it’s not all bad, there’s still time.

The second prompt worried Wen Xishu.

[You are holding the token that the believers must protect. From now on, the believers will attack you. Their favorability towards you will drop to negative immediately.]

[Believers are rioting.]

Throughout the building, all the staff in green uniforms suddenly became agitated.

An Jincheng also noticed that Wen Xishu’s expression seemed off:

”What’s wrong? Speaking of which, what should we do after finding this thing? Is the array broken?”

The sound of pounding on the door echoed. Suddenly, hundreds of people in the building started twisting their bodies simultaneously.

In the stairwell, all the green-uniformed staff, like zombies drawn to flesh, began frantically running towards the 42nd floor.

Wen Xishu said:

”How are your combat skills?”

An Jincheng felt a slight tremor in the building:

”What kind of question is that? What’s happening?”

”No time to explain! It’s time to test your muscles!”

Wen Xishu considered escaping through the window; with his parkour skills akin to an Assassin’s Creed protagonist, he could manage the descent from the 42nd floor.

But the floor-to-ceiling window was bulletproof and unbreakable.

”Run, An Jincheng, all these monsters’ aggro is on me. You start running now!”

Saying this, Wen Xishu opened the door. His movements were swift and efficient; the moment the door opened, he took a step back, then bent down, wielding the knife in an arc.

Two green-uniformed guards were instantly killed.

”You... you actually killed them?”

An Jincheng was a bit stunned but didn’t remain so for long, as upon reaching the hallway, he saw several green-uniformed guards rushing towards Wen Xishu, seemingly ready to die.

Their appearance was something he’d only seen in apocalyptic movies, like a pack of wild beasts!

An Jincheng understood, Wen Xishu was right, and the knife was indeed crucial. After pulling out the knife, all the green-uniformed figures in the building went out of control and berserk.

”Run! Quick, run, a red Ferrari will pick us up when we get downstairs! You get in the car first, I’ll be right behind you!”

Confronting four guards lunging at him, Wen Xishu skillfully dodged and struck with the knife, killing them in quick succession! Whether these people could regain consciousness was uncertain, but Wen Xishu had no hesitation killing them.

An Jincheng didn’t hesitate at this point either:

”Alright! Just don’t get held up by these guys!”

An Jincheng ran towards another stairway.

During his descent, he saw dozens of green-uniformed staff rushing upstairs.

Occasionally, some of them would turn their attention to An Jincheng.

But An Jincheng managed to evade, and before long, roars from other staff would be heard in the distance!

These sounds seemed like some kind of signal, instructing the staff to gather and handle a more critical presence. This allowed An Jincheng to run smoothly.

Wen Xishu, wielding the Spanish Ham Knife, experienced a low-tier mode of Slaughter Tower while calling Ah Miao.

He only dialed the number, confident that Ah Miao would know what to do.

Compared to An Jincheng’s path, Wen Xishu’s was crowded with people.

”This Desire Tower is even stranger than the Deceit Tower, with the playstyle of Slaughter Tower. Totally worth it!”

Thinking this, he laughed, attracting the attention of the staff.

At this moment, Wen Xishu was practically a War God, with staff attacking like rabid beasts upon seeing him...

While Wen Xishu was descending, they were ascending.

This always put Wen Xishu at a higher vantage point. He calmly watched as enemies rushed at him. If it were Three Tower People reacting, these staff were quite swift.

But to Wen Xishu... they seemed slow.

Although not fast himself, his reactions were swift. Everyone appeared a step behind, allowing him to narrowly dodge and strike back, landing each blow on their necks, ending their minds permanently.

At this point, stars began to crazily light up above Wen Xishu’s head.

Two-star wanted level.

Three-star wanted level.

Four-star wanted level.

When Wen Xishu reached the first floor, drenched in blood, a Ferrari’s engine roared outside the lobby.

[Hidden mission triggered: Lead the An Family Brothers to escape Jicheng.]
