Three Towers Game

Chapter 130: Chapter 73 Uses of Luck Value_3

”The task on this level is very easy. Many people hope to be assigned to this level. Simply put, the task is to help six people achieve happiness.”

”From what I remember, there’s a short-tempered comedian who can’t get any roles, a lazy writer who has written several bestsellers but lost his inspiration, and a somewhat reclusive college student who is said to be easily won over by girls, making the task very easy. There’s also a food-loving fat guy who knows a bit of cooking, making him easy to handle. Another is a lawyer, who is slightly more difficult to deal with. Usually, no one picks him.”

”Finally, there’s a strict mom... We started with her back then. Ruyan tutored her child, and I... I handled the mom.”

Wen Xishu almost couldn’t hold back his laughter. This couple, so open-minded?

Liu Ruyan, noticing Wen Xishu’s expression, said:

”To us, the Desire Tower is just a game. My husband playing with women in the game doesn’t matter. Better to channel than to block.”

Although Wen Xishu didn’t agree, he had to admit, what a broad perspective! Teacher Liu is impressive!

Wen Xishu understood roughly:

”Oh, so it’s really not the same task. Alright, teachers, goodbye. My friend and I are heading to the Desire Tower.”

Liu Ruyan said:

”This time, will you turn your back again?”

Ji Bodah’s eyes were also on Wen Xishu’s wrist. Wen Xishu said:

”Alright, if the old principal trusts you two, I trust you as well.”

Wen Xishu generously showed his wrist device.

This time, Ji Bodah and Liu Ruyan were really shocked. When the principal mentioned it, they thought it was an exaggeration since the old man was often playful.

But now, seeing the color of Wen Xishu’s wrist device...

They felt enlightened.

”A student from Slaughter Tower Academy, carrying a Deceit Tower device, heading to the Desire Tower, I... I don’t know what to think.”

Ah Miao, hearing this, also realized that Wen Xishu was... experiencing all Three Towers?

Wen Xishu said:

”Well then, teachers, thank you for the information. See you again. It seems our fates are quite intertwined.”

Ji Bodah nodded, still somewhat surprised along with Liu Ruyan.

They knew a bit of a secret, that the old principal’s three favorite disciples were each from Deceit, Slaughter, and Desire.

But the Deceit Tower student... suddenly faced an incident.

As a result, that student’s younger brother seemed to inherit his legacy.

But now it seemed, this younger brother was different from that student back then.

Ji Bodah said:

”It’s an honor to witness your growth. I hope you... don’t make any fundamental mistakes.”

Wen Xishu knew what those mistakes were. He didn’t think he would make mistakes. He would redefine right and wrong.

Wen Xishu activated the login device.

Ah Miao also activated the login device.

At this moment, a prompt appeared in the minds of Wen Xishu and Ah Miao.

[Currently in cooperative mode. Should team leader Wen Xishu distribute Luck Value? If chosen, Luck Value will accumulate together. The team leader is decided by the initial highest Luck Value. All members vote to decide.]

Ah Miao was moved. She had explored dozens of times, yet her Luck Value was less than this teenager Wen Xishu.

She chose ”Yes” without hesitation.

Wen Xishu saw a number ”1” appear in the ”Yes” option in his view, knowing Ah Miao was willing to give him the Luck Value.

When Wen Xishu also chose ”Yes,” the Luck Value distribution options appeared.

[Total Luck Value: 20 points.]

For a moment, Wen Xishu was puzzled as to why there were only twenty points, but he quickly realized it was due to the marginal effect.

Luck Value wasn’t simply additive. If it were, the total should have been 24 points.

But if that were the case, increasing Luck Value painstakingly would be less valuable than just finding a teammate.

So the combination of Luck Value had a marginal effect algorithm, not a simple additive process.

[Current Luck Value options——]

[1: Directly appear near the mission target, consume 19 Luck Value. Identity random, initial money random, favorability random, entry time random.]

[2: Enter the Desire Tower game as a trusted identity, consume 12 Luck Value, initial money random, distance from target random, entry time random.]

[3: Obtain money at the ’extravagant’ level, consume 12 Luck Value, identity random, distance from target random, favorability random.]

[4: Consume 20 Luck Value, identity random, initial money random, favorability random, distance from target random, but entry time is optimal. If holding an invitation, the effect increases.]

[5: Consume all Luck Value and permanently reduce Luck Value by three points, identity random, initial money random, favorability random, distance from target random, but activates Scorpio mode.]

There were actually many options, dozens in total.

But the later options were variations in initial money, identity, and distance, requiring less Luck Value as the task difficulty decreased accordingly.

This was also the first time Wen Xishu saw this situation.

Previously, it hadn’t happened like this. Including what Liu Ruyan and Ji Bodah mentioned, Wen Xishu had figured it out.

This time, all the different processes and forms were due to that special existence — Scorpio.

He and Ah Miao had received a hidden task.

Undoubtedly, the task Liu Ruyan and Ji Bodah spoke of involved the six families living in the Miracle Mansion.

But in the Miracle Mansion, there were seven sacrificial victims.

Now, Wen Xishu and Ah Miao were dealing with the seventh one.

[Your teammate Ah Miao chose to give up her Luck Value. You can enjoy all the Luck Value. Now, make your choice.]

Luck Value wasn’t a one-time consumable, so Wen Xishu didn’t find it difficult to decide. His goal was simply to maximize benefits.

If the Three Towers’ task mechanisms had no underlying logic issues, then according to Wen Xishu, greater consumption meant greater benefits.

Wen Xishu quickly made his choice.

...

...

Wen Xishu and Ah Miao disappeared.

As usual, Ji Bodah and Liu Ruyan remained in place.

”The old principal once said something very strange,” Ji Bodah said.

Liu Ruyan nodded:

”I remember, I know what you’re referring to. He said the boy has unpredictable good and bad within him. Whether he ends up good or bad... is still unclear.”

”But he is indeed a tower-climbing genius. I wasn’t wrong. He might really compare to those three students.”

Ji Bodah agreed with this:

”The final result, whether good or evil, probably depends on how we treat him. The old principal hopes everyone treats him well.”

Liu Ruyan was silent for a moment:

”This time, he has a teammate. Maybe it’s a good thing.”

Ji Bodah said:

”What if, like last time, only one teammate survives?”

Liu Ruyan shook her head:

”I bet both the boy and the woman will return safely.”
