Three Towers Game

Chapter 78: Chapter 55: Wen Xishu Opens the Heavenly Eye

Wen Xishu spoke slowly and deliberately.

Park Mi-hye said anxiously:

”Speak! I will definitely listen to you!”

Wen Xishu said:

”Zheng Zai, remember this, when you explore the Deceit Tower in the future, you must grasp one rule: don’t be afraid of any sound that appears.”

”The contents of the sounds or the hints are key to our survival, do you understand?”

Wen Xishu ignored Park Mi-hye’s words and instead began teaching Zheng Zai some insights.

Zheng Zai nodded.

Park Mi-hye was truly terrified, horrified by the eyes staring at them.

These eyes were everywhere, some appeared on the walls, some in midair, with visible sticky eye fluids.

So dense, nowhere to hide.

But at this moment, Wen Xishu was busy teaching Zheng Zai unhurriedly. Yet Park Mi-hye didn’t dare to say anything.

Wen Xishu’s logic was actually very simple: there were too many eyes to hide from, and there were no effective means to attack them. Attacking them might even trigger other bleeding mechanisms.

This indicated that at this moment, they just needed to follow the hints. The hints were to record the bad deeds done.

Though it mentioned at school, this requirement should not be targeting the Bunker players.

This was just a clue, indicating the girl’s behavior at school had been recorded.

And indeed, it was the truth.

Wen Xishu remembered Tang Rui had said that she wrote everything in her diary.

Her parents also knew, through the diary, that Tang Rui had neglected her studies at school and started learning music.

Of course, they also knew the real pain Tang Rui had gone through.

”The props were given to us, which means there must be an opportunity to use them. We gained paper and pen in addition to what we had in the previous scenario, which is to follow the hint and write down our bad deeds.”

”Now, write.”

Park Mi-hye asked:

”After writing... will everything be fine? The hint also mentioned recording good deeds, can’t we write those?”

Wen Xishu shook his head:

”You write first.”

Zheng Zai was much simpler, whatever Wen Xishu said, he did. Zheng Zai might not seem smart, but this behavior was the mark of a truly intelligent person.

Park Mi-hye, on the other hand, each of her doubts at this moment was leading her towards death and folly.

The three of them began to record their bad deeds.

To speak of bad deeds, Zheng Zai hadn’t done many. He thought for quite a while before writing down mischief from his childhood.

But next to him, Park Mi-hye had actually done quite a lot, though she held doubts. Would she be punished if she truly wrote them down?

Wen Xishu was writing vigorously, not needing to think, having done plenty of bad deeds.

Inducing a little girl to leave her mother and live with a clown fired from the circus, beating suspected doctors, teasing and mocking an interrogator, if considering the acts at Deceit Tower...

Then murder, arson, gambling, he had done it all. So Wen Xishu wrote rapidly, ideas flowing abundantly.

Park Mi-hye finally wrote down a bad deed of her own: she had once tried to raise her status through pregnancy, after finishing with a high official, she had rummaged through a trash can for certain fluids.

After the three finished recording...

The eyes floating in the air or growing from the floors and walls began to slowly close. Once fully closed, they turned into black smoke and disappeared.

But Park Mi-hye couldn’t be happy...

Because above the heads of all three of them appeared a sigil with an eye pattern.

The symbol was eighty percent blue and twenty percent red.

It looked almost like a sign hovering above their heads, reminding Wen Xishu of NPCs in online games with exclamation marks above their heads.

”What... what is this creepy thing... why do I feel like my movements have slowed? My body feels heavier!”

Park Mi-hye looked again at Wen Xishu, who frowned in annoyance:

”Don’t panic. Do you think Zheng Zai and I don’t have this thing above our heads? Do you think you’re special?”

Park Mi-hye immediately fell silent.

In normal times, she wasn’t this foolish, but many people can disguise themselves under normal circumstances, appearing elegantly composed in comfortable environments...

But once they are in extreme danger, they show another side.

Wen Xishu said:

”Zheng Zai, remember, we are Bunker People and the place we arrived at is called the Three Towers Game.”

”Since it’s a game, treat yourself like a player and try to understand more game mechanics.”

Zheng Zai half-understood and half-didn’t:

”But... in the Bunker, we didn’t really play games...”

Wen Xishu was slightly taken aback; upon careful consideration, it seemed true.

Before the Wen Family incident, they were a large and influential family, associated with many prominent figures...

There were many students with good backgrounds at Desire Tower Academy. But it seemed he couldn’t recall anyone playing games.

Wen Xishu suddenly felt this might actually be beneficial for him.

”Never mind, I’ll explain it in a way you can understand later. For now, let me explain what situation we are in.”

Zheng Zai posed with an earnest attitude to learn, and Park Mi-hye also became immediately serious.

Wen Xishu said:

”Eyes signify surveillance, indicating a perverted control over children.”

”Eyes everywhere mean the true owner of this room has no privacy.”

”Everything she, and we, have done wrong will be known by the owner of the eyes, who is her parents. The bad deeds are notable because bad deeds are worth spying on.”

”The red eye symbol appearing above us signifies... control value.”

”The higher the control value, the less freedom we have. This lack of freedom manifests as being watched in everything we do in life.”
