The Third Return of the Necrotic Magic Swordsman

[Congratulations, Host!]

[Physique Acquired: Death Monarch Physique]

[A new [Physique] tab has been created.]

[Special Privilege: Host’s Primary Class is being selected.]

[Few Minutes Later...]

[New Titles Acquired!]

[Primary Class Obtained: Necromancer (SS)]

[Class selection finalized.]

[Host’s body is entering an unconscious state for adaptation.]

He looked at the new class he had just awakened, his mind thrown into some new shi going on without his knowledge.

A notification popped appearing again in front of him, up before he could even process anything.

[Congratulations, Physique Awakened: Death Monarch Physique]

That alone was crazy. A Monarch Physique. He knew exactly what that meant.

A Monarch was a ruler, a born genius whose growth couldn’t be matched by anyone in this whole world.

There were many types of Monarchs, but their numbers were small. From what he remembered, only four stood out from the rest—aside from the ones too ridiculously strong for anyone to even think of matching.

First—the Dragon Monarch, a pure walking disaster. Said to be the most powerful Dragon Monarch to ever exist, his strength was limitless, destruction his second nature. A killing machine that didn’t stop.

Second—the Holy Monarch, whose very existence was hell for anything remotely demonic. His army of Angels and High Angels wiped out everything they considered impure.

Third—the Blood Monarch, who didn’t even bother with an army. He didn’t need one. His own strength was above anyone else’s. He was called the Blood God for a reason—he once slaughtered another Monarch’s entire army alone in just a few hours.

Fourth—the Titan Monarch, the only one Evan had the misfortune of meeting in person. That day? Unlucky as hell. The power he held was beyond anything Evan could even dream of facing back then. In his colossal form, he could literally crush people with two fingers.

There were other Monarchs, but he had only heard their names—nothing more.

But one?

One, he knew personally.

The Death Monarch.

And the reason he knew him?

Because he killed him.

That guy was a complete piece of shi. Cocky, arrogant, acting like every girl in existence would drop at his feet just because of his face.

Evan had no patience for that kind of attitude.

But that wasn’t why he killed him.

No, the real reason was because the Death Monarch was chasing someone—a girl Evan personally liked.

Her name was…

…

Why the hell couldn’t he remember?

Before he could even think about it, another notification popped up.

[System has detected a curse embedded in the host’s soul.]

[Curse Source: Death Monarch Physique.]

[Effect: Existence Removal.]

[Removing curse…]

[Curse successfully erased.]

[Lost memories resurfacing. Brace for impact.]

Then came the pain.

It hit like a hammer to his skull.

Memories flooded back, too fast, too overwhelming. His head felt like it was going to explode.

Then, just as suddenly as it started… the pain was gone.

And a name slipped from his lips.

”Nelys…”

A blurry image of a girl surfaced in his mind—a sweet, plain-looking girl who only wanted a normal life with the person she chose.

He had met her during his first journey.

And at first sight, he was gone.

Didn’t matter that she wasn’t flashy or special—she was it for him.

But back then, he was arrogant as hell. He thought he could just confess, and that would be it.

Too bad reality didn’t work that way.

Because Nelys wasn’t just any girl.

She was a Dragon.

And not just any Dragon—she was a candidate for the Dragon King’s throne, just because of her damn elemental affinity.

And that title?

Ruined her life.

The moment her succession was announced, things went to hell.

People started chasing her—not because they loved her, but because she was power. A future Dragon Queen meant wealth, status, influence.

To them, she wasn’t a person—she was a prize.

And because of that, she was always in danger.

That’s how they both died. Twice.

In his first First Life.

He was a Magic Swordsman, she was on the run. When the big families of Nexus came for her, he fought them.

And he lost.

But at least, he took her with him. They died together.

While in his Second Life, when he was a tamer and a hunter.

This time, he wanted revenge.

Guilds, powerful organizations—he went after all of them, cutting them down one by one.

But he was being played.

The real masterminds behind it all were the God Candidate who came for something but stopped to take the girl with him too.

Nelys… she died protecting him. Again.

And he went mad. He lost himself in revenge and ended up dead trying to kill everyone involved.

And now?

Now, he had the Death Monarch’s Physique in his hands which is originally supposed to have with that way who maybe still alive somewhere, then what’s going to happen is he going to be fine or not.

As the System didn’t stop there.

[Host privileges are equal to a God Candidate.]

[All world restrictions cannot bind the host.]

Evan’s eyes darkened.

”…So what would have happened if I didn’t have the Eternal Omniverse System?”

[Nothing, Host. Your entire body would have turned to dust for trying to break a Monarch’s rule.]

Tch.

So, without this System, he would’ve been instantly erased just for existing like this?

The world really was rigged against him.

But this time?

This time, he was done losing.

He sighed and looked at his status.

Now that the broken relic from before had completely resurfaced, his mystery was getting even deeper.

But there was one problem.

It needed energy.

And he had no idea what kind.

The first thing he noticed was his level—it had been reset to Lv.1.

”My level really did get reset, huh? Well, starting over is better than dying,” he muttered, scrolling through the status screen.

There were several new additions to his system. The first was his Physique, something he had never possessed before. The second was a new title—”Holder of the Monarch Physique.” He assumed it was a title given to every Monarch.

But the third change was the most drastic.

His old D-rank Necromancer class had undergone a complete transformation. Now, it had evolved into an SS-rank Necromancer class.

Perhaps his class had been so low before because his soul was damaged back then. Now that it had recovered, he was finally given the rank he truly deserved.

His stats, which were once overwhelming, had been significantly reduced. Yet, he didn’t feel weak. Instead, he sensed a stronger foundation—a solid starting point he could build upon with his talents.

A new stat had also appeared in his status window. Unlike the others, a note indicated that it couldn’t be upgraded manually. This meant there must be a different method to enhance it.

Another interesting addition was the Summon Storage, which allowed him to store his summoned creatures instead of keeping them active at all times. A useful feature, no doubt.

However, one thing confused him.

”Hey, System, why do I still have skills from my previous classes? Shouldn’t they have been deleted or reset like my primary class?”

[Your skills remained intact because all your classes and their related abilities were preserved. Do you wish to erase them?]

”Oh, wait—no! Definitely not!” he blurted out. ”I was just asking! Forget I even brought it up.”

Who in their right mind would willingly erase their own hard-earned skills?

Shaking his head, he turned his attention to another tab—Titles.

Now that he thought about it, he had never checked his previously earned titles. It was about time he did.

__

”Oh goodness, the titles good,” Evan said as he reflected on his battle with the demon Warlord. ” So that’s why I thought back then, where did I get so much power?” He looked at the effects and then examined his physique which was the reason behind all of this

[Death Monarch Physique]

Tier: 0

Attributes: Life, Death, Darkness

Description: A powerful physique that grants its holder a natural connection to Life and Death, as well as Darkness. This physique allows mastery over both necrotic energy and restorative forces, enabling the manipulation of life and death at will. The holder possesses a deep affinity for darkness, further strengthening their abilities in controlling the undead and wielding death-related magic.

As the supreme wielder of death’s power, the host’s subordinates grow stronger alongside them, gaining levels and strength while residing within the host’s shadow storage. The deeper the host embraces death, the more their summons flourish, perpetually bound to the ever-expanding dominion of their master.

__

”What is this? Where are my OP attributes like +20 INT, +15 VIT, +10 END, or whatever the stats per level are supposed to be? I heard that even those with King and Emperor physiques or bloodlines have much greater stats per level than this.”

”Hey, give me a refund. I don’t want this physique, give another one.”

He shouted, but the system remained unresponsive, seemingly ignoring him and this continues for few minutes.

”Hah... I mistook a piece of coal for a diamond,” he said, resigning himself to the situation because of the last effect. He closed the screen and went to check the primary class gifts he had just received.

The previous gifts were just +10 unassigned stats every level and a slight boost in magical power and mana.

But now, the true leveling with this class would begin as he himself has seen the class of SS and SSS are like and if this is also same like physique then he is surely going to put a punch straight thought system face for sure after that..

”System, show me my class details and reveal the marvelous effects.”

He shouted as the system opened his class description, which he correctly guessed would be what it was supposed to be, not like some fake monarch physique.

[Necromancer (SS)]

Tier: 0

A master of undeath, wielding the forces of life and death. The Necromancer bends spirits, bones, and the very essence of existence to their will, creating an army of the fallen.

--> Necromancer skills gain 15% increased proficiency gain

__

”Now that’s my boy, worthy of SS rank class bonuses,” he said, finding it the second thing he appreciated about the change.

He checked the bonuses again with joy and gave the skill a quick look before heading out.

======

”Hmm, so now I’m a proper classic Necromancer rather than a modern one, huh? Well, that’s both good and bad,” Evan muttered to himself. ”Good, because my connection to death magic has deepened. Bad, because I can’t summon the powerful warriors I had before… at least, not yet. Maybe that ability will return later. And my spirit capacity increases with my level, so that’s a plus.”

Closing all the system screens, he decided to head out—but first, he checked his body condition.

He was completely naked. Not even his undergarments had survived. Maybe it was due to the changes in his body.

”Good thing I stored my armor in my inventory,” he sighed in relief. ”Otherwise, I’d have to spend money on a new one.”

He quickly dressed himself in the spare clothes he always carried, ensuring he wouldn’t walk out of the dungeon in tattered rags. Once fully clothed, he inspected his mask— Mask of Concealment, his most crucial item. Fortunately, it was undamaged.

Now, it was time to leave.

The dungeon was suffocating him. The air was thick with heat energy, making it uncomfortable to stay any longer. Without wasting time, he summoned his undead mount.

”{Zephoros},” he called.

A dark, eerie shadow swirled beneath him before his undead horse emerged. Its menacing form radiated an ominous aura, making it the perfect steed for traversing the dungeon’s crude pathways.

Evan swiftly mounted Zephoros and galloped toward the dungeon exit.

The rocky terrain made riding difficult, but thanks to his talent—Supreme Adaptation—his horse-riding skills improved by the second. Each moment in the saddle refined his control, making him feel more synchronized with his mount.

After half an hour of riding, he finally reached the dungeon’s exit gate. His body ached, especially his thighs, from the prolonged journey. Just then, a system notification popped up.

[Talent: Supreme Adaptation has further adjusted the host’s body to endure extended riding. You are now more capable of riding beasts.]

”Oh, come on, just shut up for a few minutes!” Evan groaned. ”You’ve been talking nonstop for an hour!”

Approaching the exit, he didn’t bother dismissing his summon. Riding Zephoros, he stepped through the dungeon gate.

The blinding sunlight hit his eyes the moment he emerged, forcing him to squint. But before he could fully adjust, something unexpected happened.

A familiar voice rang out.

”Hey, you! Identify yourself or prepare to be torn to pieces!”

Evan’s eyes widened. ”Huh? What’s going on?”

As his vision cleared, he found himself surrounded. A barrage of skills had already been cast, their glowing energy forming deadly patterns aimed directly at him.

At the center of it all stood Lilia, her presence radiating a terrifying killing intent.

”State your business,” she demanded coldly. ”And tell me where the hunter who entered this dungeon is. The one who was supposed to raid this gate. Where is he?”

Evan blinked in confusion. ”What are you talking about, Miss Lilia? It’s me—Evan. The hunter you met in the interrogation room.”

”Don’t lie to us!” Lilia snapped. ”You can’t be him. He must be dead by now, and you’re just an imposter. Your face might match his, but your body doesn’t. No one could have survived in that dungeon for three days without supplies—not after what happened before.”

Evan froze.

”What…? I was inside for three days straight!?”

His shocked exclamation echoed in the air.

And then—
