Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 1061: Chapter 1033: Qian’s Advice Brings Blessings to Second Brother

”Qian, why do men behave that way outside? Why is the infidelity rate so high during pregnancy?”

”Did you see how far in the materials I gave you? Did you read the part about male pregnancy depression?”

Dayi shook her head, ”I haven’t gotten to that part yet. The information you gave me is so rich. I have to carefully consider many parts, so I’m reading slowly.”

”Go back and read the section on male pregnancy depression, and you’ll understand some of the reasons why men cheat during their wives’ pregnancy.”

”Isn’t pregnancy depression something only women get?”

”10% of men also suffer from it. This period starts from the wife’s pregnancy to a year after childbirth.”

”Are you saying men also experience nausea and other pregnancy symptoms?” Dayi recalled she had read similar reports before.

It was said that some men exhibit symptoms like vomiting, nausea, and back pain during their wives’ pregnancy, similar to early pregnancy reactions.

Qian shook her head, ”What you’re talking about is Couvade syndrome, which is a bit different from what I’m saying. That’s due to a decrease in male hormones and an increase in estrogen, causing physiological reactions, which is different from male pregnancy depression.”

”I still have so much to learn.” Dayi felt like she could never catch up with Qian; Qian knew so much.

”I’m the same, lacking in many areas. Let’s work hard together.”

”Oh...?! Why would you say that?” It was the first time Dayi heard Qian speak with such a tone.

”Before, I thought I had reached a limit because of the limited things I had seen. But after climbing one mountain, I realized there’s another high mountain beyond it.”

After experiencing actions from Qio Yu Xuan twice, Qian had learned to be more restrained and objectively view her own level.

”Let’s not talk about this. I’ll tell you how male pregnancy depression comes about. Women’s mood swings during pregnancy are due to hormonal changes; they sometimes vent to men and are prone to sadness and tears. You’ve experienced this, right?”

Dayi nodded; she realized the depictions in dramas were not exaggerated only after she got pregnant. The changes women undergo during pregnancy are uncontrollable, not being melodramatic. Sometimes she tears up easily, but fortunately, her son and husband understand her and take care of her emotions.

”When a pregnant woman’s emotions are transferred to her husband, and the husband has no outlet for this pressure, coupled with many people restraining themselves during the pregnancy, and unmet needs, it can lead to issues.”

”I kind of understand now. This relates a lot to what you mentioned about the character of abusive men. You said men are particularly poor at expressing themselves, and when women reason with them to the point where they have nothing to say, they resort to violence! It’s the same rationale; they know it’s inappropriate to go out when the wife is pregnant and recognize the inequalities women face during pregnancy, yet they choose to escape reality by betraying the family and their roles as fathers and husbands!”

Qian nodded, that’s how it is.

It sounds cruel and unreasonable, right?

But that’s the truth!

Women endure so much discomfort during pregnancy and the transition in roles, while men, unable to adapt to physical and mental changes, escape to find other women outside!

From a scientific perspective, though many are unwilling to accept this truth and there are moral condemnations, it doesn’t stop the increasing number of men betraying their families during their wives’ pregnancies. A survey abroad shows that 75% of men betray their families during their wives’ pregnancy!

The number of cases is relatively less in our country, thanks to stringent management. If it were as open and legal as abroad, this figure would rise too.

Dayi’s face turned grim as she touched her belly, pondering anxiously before speaking pitifully to Qian.

”What if I can’t control my temper... If Mr. Yu also finds it unbearable, and he...”

Just thinking about it felt like the sky was falling.

”Don’t worry about it. If a man like Mr. Yu were to have issues, there would be no good men left in this world. So, as women, we must always treat ourselves well, not turn into dowdy housewives, even during pregnancy. Want to know how to reduce issues during pregnancy?”

”How?”

”Appropriate...activities within physical capability.”

”...!!!” Dayi blushed deeply.

”From how often Mr. Yu comes to drink with Xiaoqiang, it seems you two haven’t been active for a while, huh?”

”My sister-in-law said not to during the first three months...”

”Let me give you some tips!”

With Qian explaining this and that, Dayi felt like another new door was being opened for her.

”Is it okay to do that? Wouldn’t he think I’m too forward, wouldn’t it look ungenteel?”

”Behind closed doors, men don’t prefer docile wives; that’s for the public eye.”

”Should I tell this to people who consult me for marriage advice too?”

”Depends on the situation. Some men are insatiable, and no matter how good you are, they want to explore. Advise based on the situation. But regarding Mr. Yu, this trick will definitely work.”

”Really...?”

Qian patted her shoulder, ”Even if you don’t do it, he won’t stray. But I swear on my clinical experience, if you do this, Mr. Yu will be ecstatic.”

In that case... Dayi thought it might be worth trying.

The benefits of Mr. Yu took precedence over her image, and sacrificing a bit of her personal image seemed acceptable.

”Qian, what kind of men are more likely to have issues? Do men become bad if they become wealthy?”

”That’s oversimplified. Indeed, wealthy men have the means, and many poor men have none because they lack the means. But it doesn’t mean having money makes men bad. It’s related to moral values, personal quality, and self-discipline. Do you see Xiaoge and Xiaoqiang having issues despite their wealth?”

Dayi nodded, indeed. Xiaoge was a rare good man, and as for Xiaoqiang, with a super goddess like Qian by his side and being so righteous, it was even less likely.

Qian secretly added in her heart, a good man like hers was indeed rare; even in a hundred, one would be quite lucky.

But since Dayi was pregnant, she had to make her feel good during the pregnancy.

While Qian was comforting Dayi, her phone rang.

”Qian, are you at home?”

”Hey Xiaoge, I’m out shopping with Dayi. I’ll be back soon.”

”Then I’ll wait for you. Don’t let Dayi come over; come back by yourself.”

Qian hung up and shrugged.

”You see, speak of the devil, and he appears.”

But why, Xiaoge didn’t want Dayi to come along? What was so important that had to be said only to her?
