Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 1057: Chapter 1029: Truly a Good Person

”Mr Chen, this is your consultation fee. We truly thank you! We never expected that just one experiential session would change our daughter so much. Although she still argues with us, at least she’s stopped being physically violent!”

A few days later, a middle-aged man expressed his gratitude in Qian’s car. He never imagined that psychological therapy could be so magical, turning his once uncontrollable violent daughter around completely.

”The role of psychotherapy is just to add the finishing touch. To truly transform her step by step, you, as parents, also need to cooperate. A good family atmosphere is the best prevention for psychological issues. Also, your daughter’s personality is not suited for studying psychology. Since she’s just started college, I suggest you let her repeat a year and choose another major.”

”But she likes this major and worked hard to get in...” The middle-aged man seemed troubled.

”Her emotional control is very poor. Even after treatment, she can’t be like a normal person. If she continues to study, it’ll be unfortunate for herself if she can’t succeed, and unfortunate for her clients if she does succeed. The best solution is to change majors.”

Although many psychology practitioners have suboptimal mental health, such suboptimal states certainly don’t include a predisposition to violence.

”Alright... I’ll go back and talk to her. Here’s your fee, please make sure to keep it.” The man handed over the check.

Qian glanced at the check, ”There’s an extra ten thousand?”

”That’s your gratuity. Without you, who knows what my daughter would be like now...”

Qian handed the check back, saying lightly, ”Rewrite it, or cash is fine, three thousand, no more.”

”But we really appreciate you!”

”We agreed on a sum, and that’s the sum.”

Qian looked like she didn’t want to say more, and the man had no choice but to get out of the car and bring back cash from his car.

A few minutes later, Qian’s little red car drove off into the distance, with three neat bundles of cash on the back seat.

The man watched her leave, praising her with admiration.

”Mr Chen is really a model in the industry, refusing even extra money, truly a great person...”

In the car, Qian listened to some music, guessing that Yu Minglang should be back, and felt particularly good.

When she got close to home, Qian parked the car and walked towards the building, and her phone rang urgently.

The caller ID showed an unknown number.

Qian thought for a moment and smirked, knowing who was calling.

”Hello! Sis! My dear sister! Save me!”

On the other end, Chen Zilong’s voice came through with a sobbing tone.

The unknown number was because it was from some special communication device in the mountains, regular phones had no signal there, so by now that kid should have arrived at the location.

”Dalong, what’s up? Are you getting used to life over there?”

Tsk tsk, this call came earlier than she expected, looks like his conditions weren’t too bad, allowing him to call as soon as he arrived.

”Not used to it! Sis! I’m not used to it! Sis, my brother-in-law tricked me, he tricked me!!!”

Dalong’s voice came hysterically, and then Qian happily heard someone warning him on the other side to mind his impact.

Hahaha!

Qian laughed uncontrollably inside, but outwardly put on a concerned look.

”How could that be? How did your brother-in-law trick you? He’s a good person!”

Yes! I’m a good person!

Qian silently covered her mouth, almost jumped in surprise by a handsome face suddenly brushing past her.

Yu Minglang had come back at some point and snuck around in the corridor without a sound, only running over to play a prank when Qian approached, with his face sticking to Qian’s face.

Wifey praised me, I heard it~

Qian, annoyed, swung her bag hard at him, thinking whether or not to contact Fei Si!

She bet that this rascal had come back long ago, deliberately hiding in the corridor quietly, timing it just to scare her, deserved to be hit!

While the couple teased each other, on the other end, Chen Zilong started a sobbing lament mode, just short of shedding tears of bitterness.

”Sis! My brother-in-law is so unfair, he lied saying he found me an exceptionally good place. I asked if the training was tiring, he said he’s got it covered, but then? Ah! I’m exhausted, sis, save me, sis! I’m going to die of exhaustion!”

Dalong called out sentimentally, but his sister didn’t have time for him.

She was being pinned on the stair railing by a vacationed Yu Minglang, getting kissed~

While Qian wanted to be lovey-dovey with someone, she also had to hold the phone high above, her hair, styled just right, fell loose like a waterfall, and his hand slipped through her long hair, it felt really nice.

He missed her so much, finally seeing his little darling~

Qian’s attention was all on Yu Minglang, the two exchanged flirtatious glances over and over, and what Dalong was saying was of no concern at all, until Dalong nearly reached hysteria, then Qian put the call on speakerphone.

Dalong’s trembling voice came through, ”Sis, I’m begging you, let brother-in-law move me somewhere else, ah~”

This place, he couldn’t stay a minute longer, it was unbearable!

”How powerful do you think your brother-in-law is? I can’t control him.”

Qian said that with her mouth, but her hand was pinching the ear of that supposedly very powerful man, scoundrel! For messing up her painstakingly groomed hair, doing hair is very troublesome!

”Sis, don’t joke with me, if you can’t control my brother-in-law, who can? Sis, please!”

”Dalong, listen, a man’s word is precious, how can it be said randomly? You’re a man!”

”Sis, if you get me transferred, I’ll even be a woman...”

”Pfft!” Qian let out a joyful laugh, Chen Zilong’s unfortunate voice successfully entertained her.

”Sis?” Dalong thought he heard wrong, for he seemed so pitiful, his sister wouldn’t laugh, would she?

”Ahem, ahem, sis is telling you, you’ve signed the contract, that’s legally binding now. You must obey orders now, wherever you’re sent, you go. Running away will be really unfortunate, oh dear, my phone signal is bad, oh, am I not hearing anymore?”

Qian scratched the microphone a couple of times with her nails, feigning bad signal noise effects.

Finished speaking, regardless of Dalong’s persistent pleas on the other end, she happily hung up the call.

”Is that place so terrifying? How did that kid get so scared? Instant defeat.” Qian asked Yu Minglang.

Yu Minglang rubbed his nose, ”Not terrifying at all, it’s nice, there’s mountains and water, the air is fresh, no complex interpersonal relations daily, it’s just... starting to dig, might be a bit unfit, right?”

More than just unfit, Dalong was now going crazy.

After his sister hung up, he initially wanted to redial, but the queue of people behind waiting to call their families was long, they could only call once a week, taking turns, so it wasn’t right to use up resources.

Why wouldn’t his sister care about him? Dalong wanted to cry but had no tears, yet the more terrifying thing was yet to come.

A chilling voice sounded behind him.
