Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 758: Chapter 732: Sudden Attack

”Who is your boss?” Qian turned around and asked, neither hurried nor slow.

This foreigner spoke English, but his features somewhat resembled those from the Middle East.

”Come with us, don’t ask so many questions.”

”No way!” Akka spread his arms to shield Qian behind him.

”Move aside,” one of the brawny men warned.

”If you want to harm Chen Xiaoqian, you’ll have to step over my dead body.” This was professional ethics; since Akka took the boss’s money and promised to take care of Qian, he couldn’t give an inch.

”Looking for death.” One of them suddenly swung his fist, aiming at Akka.

”Get in the car,” Akka gave Qian a push, then started fighting with the two brawny men.

Qian took advantage of the chaos to get in the car, sitting in the driver’s seat and watching from outside as the blond was fighting the two men in black, and she fell into deep thought.

Could this be a plot orchestrated by Mai himself? Having two underlings fight with Akka to make her believe in Akka? So that Akka could get close to her?

But Qian felt it wasn’t that simple, Akka was obviously struggling with those two, Qian could see Akka was quite skilled, but the other two weren’t lacking either, they were both strong men, Akka was at a disadvantage.

She could see he was genuinely trying to cover for her.

Seeing the two men in black beat Akka until he was spitting blood, and he still wouldn’t back down, Qian glanced at the cartoon pendant on her phone — it contained a bug installed by Yu Minglang, he should know by now she was in trouble.

The phone rang, Yu Minglang was calling. Qian grabbed the phone, ready to answer when suddenly the car window shattered. One of the men in black had pulled out a chain-linked ball and smashed the window with it.

Qian narrowly dodged, luckily it was the rear window that shattered, otherwise she would’ve been hurt.

Seeing this, Akka was furious, cursed, and jumped forward to grab the chain, not letting the man smash the car again.

”I fucking said, this way is blocked, if you want to hurt her, you’ll have to step over me first!”

The man in black tried to snatch the chain back, but it was held tight in Akka’s hand. While holding off one, she barely dodged the other’s attack, ”Chen Xiaoqian, run fast!”

Seeing this, Qian put down the phone, spotting a small box in the car from the corner of her eye, suddenly remembering Mai’s glove was inside.

It was the one that could generate sonic resonance to break bricks when worn, Yu Minglang hadn’t returned it to Mai after confiscating it, Qian put the glove on her hand, then got out of the car.

Akka, still with blood on the corner of his mouth from being beaten, widened his eyes in anger when he saw her get out, ”Why are you coming out! Get back in!”

Facing the two unknown enemies, Qian’s expression didn’t change, not a hint of tension, she walked up to Akka, patting his shoulder.

”I don’t have the habit of hiding behind others like a turtle, let go.”

”But—” Akka watched the two strong men warily, the boss’s task was to never let anyone harm Qian, these two obviously weren’t good people!

”It’s nothing, what do you two want with me?”

Qian stood calmly by Akka, asking the two strong men.

”Like I said, the boss wants to see you.”

”Who exactly is your boss?”

”You’ll know when you get there.”

Qian sarcastically curled her lips, ”What if I don’t want to go?”

”Then don’t blame us for being rude!” One of the strong men made as if to step forward, Qian made a surrender gesture.

”Don’t fight, I’ll go with you.”

”Qian!” Akka couldn’t bear Qian being taken away in front of him.

Qian already walked to the man’s side, standing in line with the two brawny men, silently mouthing to Akka, cooperate with me.

She knew Akka, like Yu Minglang, understood lip-reading.

Akka quickly caught on, watching Qian intently, curious about how this high-IQ girl would escape.

”Actually, I personally really hate violence, but when necessary, sometimes one has to let themselves be a bit violent...”

”What are you talking about?” One brawny man impatiently tried pushing Qian into the car, but Qian suddenly turned, caught off guard, and slammed a gloved fist into his abdomen.

”Pft—!” The brawny man was hit by Qian, staggering back two steps, his vision darkened, spewing blood before collapsing to the ground, gasping and then feeling a sickly sweetness in his throat, he rolled his eyes and fainted.

The other brawny man couldn’t react to what had happened, he seemed a bit dazed, not understanding why his companion suddenly fell.

Qian was a bit alarmed, was the glove really this powerful? She hadn’t killed him, had she?

Akka also didn’t know how Qian had taken the man down, but now was the chance, she quickly stepped forward to fight the remaining brawny man.

Fighting one wasn’t too taxing for Akka, although she wasn’t as strong, she was more agile.

Qian watched from the side, wanting to help, but this glove was only good for sneak attacks; she was far from proficient in real combat, her moves couldn’t keep up and could easily cause more harm than good.

After trading several blows with the opponent, the brawny man Qian had knocked out regained consciousness, seeing the dire situation, Qian turned and ran.

The brawny man wiped the blood from his lip, feeling deeply humiliated by being knocked out by a woman, enraged, he grabbed the iron chain hanging from the broken car window and gave chase to Qian.

Akka was fighting furiously with the other man, seeing the one chasing Qian, wanted to help but was entangled tightly.

It’s over, if Qian gets hit by that chain, Akka felt she’d have to meet the boss with her head in her hands!

Qian ran wildly against the wind, feeling utterly self-disparaging.

She’s really no good at fighting, not a bit of experience, why hadn’t she followed up with another punch to keep him knocked out after the first? And she worried about having killed him...

That’s why, academics are too slow, if her relative Xiaoqiang were here, he’d already have knocked the guy out with two kicks, but look at her now, being chased like a fool.

At the university gate appeared a man with a chain chasing a girl during this school-off time, Qian actually wished there’d be someone ready to jump in and help, but unfortunately, everyone stayed far away, no one dared approach.

Just as the brawny man was about to catch Qian, he suddenly saw Mai coming down from a taxi holding a bouquet of flowers.

The brawny man immediately stopped, turned, and yelled to his companion, ”Retreat!”

The two men quickly got into the car and drove off.

Akka, panting heavily, arrived in front of Qian, ”Qian, are you alright?”

”I’m fine. You?”

”Just some surface injuries; shouldn’t be serious. Who were those guys?”

Qian watched Akka’s response, genuinely seeming not to know what those men were doing, making her puzzled too.

Who on earth were they? Why did they attack her for no reason, then suddenly stop?
