Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Everyone Has a Wounded Child Inside

Many parents teach their children to respect the elderly, but after saying it, they turn around and show disrespect to their elders. Children see all this and gradually form certain values.

Seeing the teacher’s hypocritical behavior and the father at the market who only abuses his child with harsh words and forceful control, Qian has already predicted this child’s future.

”If you don’t find the right treatment, do you know what your daughter will eventually become?”

”A thief...” the homeroom teacher murmured.

”Pathological stealing, severe cases may develop into schizophrenia and travel psychosis, accompanied by self-direction disorder, paranoid delusions and fantasies, which we commonly refer to as, mental illness.”

When Qian uttered the words mental illness, the homeroom teacher shook their head while crying.

”No, it won’t happen, we’ll educate her properly, she’s still young, she’ll understand when she grows up and it’ll be fine!”

”Many parents use ’she’ll be fine when she grows up’ as a way to deceive themselves. Do you know that a person’s physical appearance changes with age, but the child inside may remain trapped in a moment of trauma? If not guided, it can stay with them for a lifetime.”

Having been a psychological authority all her life, Qian has seen too many such cases.

Although everyone’s growth experiences and psychological endurance vary, all BT serial killers, upon strict tracing, inevitably have a hurtful childhood, without exception.

Because stimulated in childhood, they grow up to be distorted; their bodies mature, yet the wounded child remains in their childhood, appearing externally as grown but internally twisted.

Qian feels that her current vengeful character was forged by repeated injuries, but her emotional intelligence is not low and her IQ high. So she has boundaries; despite her ruthless methods, her intelligence and emotional intelligence keep her from hurting the innocent.

But how many people possess Qian’s emotional and intellectual quotient?

”We will correct her, Yaya won’t turn out as you say!”

”Your so-called correct methods are actually laughable. If children develop psychological disorders, they all without exception feel a lack of love. Her heart already has a void; if you don’t fill it but instead violently suppress it, her void will grow and manifest clinically, exacerbating her condition.”

”You’re talking nonsense, utter nonsense!”

”Your daughter’s condition will go through several stages. Now she’s at the initial stage; if her condition continues to worsen, she’ll exhibit relaxed thinking and violent resistance due to your repression, even self-harm. By the last stage, she’ll develop paranoid delusions and schizophrenia. By that point, even a psychologist won’t help, and she’ll need psychiatric care.”

Qian had walked away, as the homeroom teacher covered their face and cried aloud.

In the empty house, only the broken ”De” character on the wall silently observed all this.

Qian walked in the deserted campus, suddenly feeling a strong urge to wash her hands.

Vigorously, fiercely wash.

Yet, she hesitated.

She could have reported the homeroom teacher and ruined her, but if she did, the child with kleptomania would be thoroughly destroyed forever. If the mother’s image collapses, the child’s heart, already scarred, would accumulate more wounds irreparably, exacerbating the condition if not making them go insane.

Let the teacher copy passages from books on educating children and keep the child close. Long-term companionship can fill in some of the child’s emotional gaps. Although this can’t fully treat the pathological stealing, it lays a good foundation for future psychological treatment.

As long as the teacher is willing to take the child to see someone, there’s still hope for the child.

The small whirlwind in the campus kicked up again.

Are ghosts real? If they are, she hoped Xiaowei would come look at her.

Xiaowei, since you left, the wounded child in mom’s heart has been crying for you, but why can’t I see you? Who will fill the broken void in my heart?

”Doing good and accumulating virtue can’t get me what I want, I will continue being a villainess; such kindness and compassion, I won’t have again next time.”

Qian whispered as tears streaked down her cheeks, blown away by the whirlwind.

Leaving the school, Qian walked along the street until her face dried of tears. She found a KFC, went in, and washed her hands vigorously for five minutes, to the point where even the service staff gave her sideways looks before she resumed her indifferent demeanor and left.

Next, she needed to handle business.

Along with the voice recorder for collecting evidence, she had a camera.

That camera was her key to earning tuition.

Following her brother Chen Zilong’s direction for the hotel’s location, Qian went there and sat in the cold drink shop across the hotel.

She ordered a pot of chrysanthemum tea and sat there upright, silently watching the outside through the window.

The staff saw this and came over to inquire several times.

”Girlie, are you having any worries? Would you like to share with your sister so I can help guide you?”

The server was a lady in her forties with a warm smile. Seeing Qian sitting all this time, she worried that something was troubling her and came over to chat a bit.

Qian returned her a smile, ”Thank you, I’m fine.”

Suddenly, Qian spotted a red QQ leisurely drove over, and she stood up, took out 20 yuan, and put it on the table.

While the staff were giving her change, Qian was already on her way out.

”Girlie, wait for your change!”

”Don’t need it.” A stranger’s care and smile, for Qian, giving a little tip meant nothing.

She was about to have money. That idiot in the QQ would be giving her money.

Qian had already walked out the door, and the lady chased after her and stuffed 5 yuan into her hand.

”Just come back and patronize us next time.” Another warm smile.

Qian paused for a moment. She had been too accustomed to tipping in her previous life. Hearing the lady say this, she felt slightly out of place but nodded and returned a smile to the lady.

Kind people often spread warmth without expecting anything in return, whereas those wasteful like Ni Jianren, even when hurting others, don’t recognize it as harm — that’s the difference.

After Qian went out, Ni Jianren had already entered the hotel. Qian crouched by the tire of his car and quietly unscrewed the valve cap, using the toothpick she just got to slowly push it into the valve.

The hissing sound came, and Qian nodded with satisfaction.

Apparently, she had adapted to her low-level identity, doing things according to her position. If she were the wealthy villainess of her past life, how would she puncture the tires of a scumbag’s car?

She would usually have someone crash into them, if not rear-end them or stage accidents. There’s a way to play for having money, as well as when having no money.

Thinking she was oblivious, but after Qian let out the air, stood up and entered the hotel, a pair of sharp eyes from the private window on the hotel’s second floor captured all of Qian’s actions.

”Boss, the meat’s done, if you don’t eat, the brothers will finish it!”

Yu Minglang stood up and walked outside.

”This meal is on me, take your time enjoying it.”
