Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Fail to Finish the Square, Fail Again with the Cube!

In the face of overwhelming evidence, the homeroom teacher was left with no argument.

Qian drove her back to the corner, the homeroom teacher leaned against the wall, and behind her hung a framed piece of calligraphy.

”Virtue nourishes all?” Qian read the words on the wall, and the homeroom teacher’s face turned pale.

”Heavenly conduct is persistent, and gentlemen relentlessly strive. Earthly forces are nurturing, and gentlemen use virtue to support everything, the highest praise for those who educate, describing someone’s noble character. Teacher, tell me, every day in front of these words praising virtue, you do those conscience-missing things, are you worthy of the title ’teacher’?”

Qian’s voice wasn’t loud, one could even say it was gentle.

It was this gentle voice, paired with sharp soul-searching words, that effortlessly broke the homeroom teacher’s psychological defense.

The homeroom teacher covered her face, almost sobbing uncontrollably.

”Don’t tell the school or the education bureau about this; I still have children to raise.”

When Chen Lin approached the homeroom teacher, she was also hesitant.

Qian’s college entrance examination scores were high, and having taught such a student meant bonuses.

But Chen Lin told the teacher the family conditions were too difficult, even mentioned his wife was terminally ill and had no money for treatment, and then slipped money to the teacher, just a bit more than the bonus, exactly 50 extra.

Pushed to a breakdown by Qian, when the teacher mentioned the 50 yuan, Qian laughed.

”Did you ruin my life just for those 50 yuan?”

Ha, the source of all her past life pain was only worth 50 yuan?

And that father, no, don’t call him father anymore, he’s unworthy!

Just to save money for his son’s college at the expense of his daughter, even saying shameless things like his wife having a terminal illness, Qian had completely remembered him and decided to intensify her revenge against Chen Lin.

”Chen Xiaoqian, forgive the teacher this once; next time I won’t, definitely won’t...” If this got reported to the education bureau, she would be completely finished.

”This kind of thing, you may have done for the first time, but swapping the seats of the bribing students to the front row, you haven’t done it less, have you? I never forgive those who bully me, because forgiving once brings more harm later.”

School, the purest place originally, yet some unfairness already begins there.

”Get out of my way.”

After Qian finished speaking, she dragged the homeroom teacher back a few steps, picked up the water cup on the table, and threw it forcefully at the calligraphy on the wall. The framed glass shattered on impact, fragments scattered everywhere, causing the teacher to scream.

The part Qian targeted was precisely the ’Virtue’ in ’Virtue nourishes all,’ shattering the character for virtue.

”You must return the money my dad gave you.”

Scared stiff by Qian, the teacher dared not say a word and hurriedly took out 550 yuan.

”Chen Xiaoqian, about the recording...”

”I initially wanted to report it, but your daughter saved you, ha ha.”

Qian took the money and pointed at the shattered calligraphy frame.

”Do not fix this, do not replace it, clean up the glass to avoid injuring your child, and keep this stained virtue in your sight. When you assume a human position but fail to act humanely, just look up at this. If I find out you dare to ruin other children’s futures for money again, the education bureau will definitely receive the recording.”

The homeroom teacher nodded continuously.

At this moment, in her eyes, Chen Xiaoqian was nothing but a devil.

Qian looked at the damaged character for virtue, expressionless.

”You will handwrite ’Yan Family’s Family Rules,’ ’Zhu Family’s Family Rules,’ and ’Zeng Guofan’s Ten Methods of Teaching Children,’ at least ten pages daily without limit, and mail it to me once a month. Calculated by current scrap recycling prices, 0.3 yuan per pound, when you’ve written 166.6 pounds and repaid the 50 yuan, I’ll return the tape to you!”

The homeroom teacher was dumbfounded.

For the first time hearing...such a novel and unique method of revenge!

”When students’ performance doesn’t meet your standards, don’t you punish them by making them copy? Now I’m just using your method to handle you; I’ve endured over 10 years of schooling this way, teacher, do you think my 13 years are worth only 50 yuan? Fine, I’ll let you know, 50 yuan can be very light, but it can also be very heavy!”

sheets of A4 paper approximate 4.3 pounds, 160 pounds requires 18,000 sheets, taking at least 5 years to finish. Qian’s scholarly brain easily calculated the numbers.

”Using your 5 years to exchange for my 13 years, can’t I say I’m too merciful?”

When you casually step on someone’s wound, don’t blame others for doing the same to you, because you have it coming.

”Chen Xiaoqian, for this method, I don’t have time!”

”When you punish students by making them write, did you consider that they don’t have time? Students need to sleep, you know? Can’t memorize—punish to write, write wrongly—punish to write, unable to finish—multiply the punishment, still can’t finish—cube it! Teacher, it’s all you taught me! You said it was for students’ good when punishing, now the student is also doing it for your own good.”

The homeroom teacher remained silent, the methods she often employed on students now applied to herself were unbearably painful.

”Why...are all the books about teaching children?”

”While you write, keep your daughter beside you, don’t send her to others, keep her with you, family companionship reduces the impulse to steal. If she continues stealing, you mustn’t hit her, just recite these with her, let her write once, you write twice, let her watch you write! This diagnosis fee, I won’t charge you; consider it for the sake of our teacher-student relationship. I’m always clear about gratitude and grudges.”

She finally understood why that child with kleptomania suffered the way she did.

”Chen Xiaoqian, I’m sorry for covering up your admission score. Whatever you do to me, I can accept, but please don’t involve my child!”

”Who are you pretending to be a loving mother for? Your daughter suffers from pathological kleptomania, she steals things she doesn’t even want, hides them away, though internally struggling, she can’t overcome the impulse to steal, it’s all because of you!”

”You’re talking nonsense, I’ve always taught her to be a good child...” The homeroom teacher’s child was her unspeakable wound.

She and her husband both had respectable jobs, and this habit in the child had persisted for over two years, even with scoldings and beatings, but it worsened. Afraid of the child’s presence affecting their work, they sent her to grandma, bringing her back during summer, only to find she continued stealing.

”Pathological kleptomania has a reason for forming; although she is sick, it’s the absence of family warmth and parental inconsistencies that caused it.”

Qian’s sharp eyes stared at the homeroom teacher, ”Have you ever thought that a thousand pale verbal educations can’t compare to one true action? When you say stealing is wrong but engage in shady dealings yourself, how does it impact a child whose values haven’t formed?”

Parents are the best teachers for their children.
