After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid

Lilia let out a sigh of relief and quickly followed.

Fortunately, fortunately.

Today’s boss seemed to be in a fairly good mood. She did not make any moves like usual, nor did she look at her with those icy gazes that could freeze a person into an ice sculpture.

The entire changing process went unbelievably smoothly.

Lilia dutifully played the role of a perfect maid, helping Hera change into an elaborate and luxurious court gown, carefully arranging her long hair, and placing upon her head the crown symbolizing supreme authority.

When the final accessory had been put on, Hera stood before the massive dressing mirror, transforming once more into that majestic, indifferent, and unattainable Queen of Eternal Night.

In the mirror, one tall and one short.

Lilia looked at her reflection and suddenly felt a wave of daze.

Was all of this… really not just a dream?

“What are you thinking about?” Hera’s voice came from the front.

“N-Nothing.” Lilia quickly snapped back to her senses and lowered her gaze. “It’s just that, Your Majesty looks as radiant as ever today.”

Flattery was an essential daily routine.

Hera glanced at her through the mirror. The corner of her lips seemed to curl ever so slightly, but it was too fleeting to be captured.

“Prepare breakfast early,” Hera turned around and left behind a command.

“Yes,” Lilia responded.

Lilia also turned to leave.

But just as she was about to step out of the Bedchamber, her footsteps suddenly halted.

She slowly lowered her head, her gaze falling onto the bed.

The disheveled bedding still retained the warmth of two people. In the air, the cold scent of cedar intertwined with another faint, indistinguishable sweetness that belonged to her.

Most importantly…

On the pillow where Hera had just lain, there seemed to be a trace.

Very small—impossible to notice without careful observation.

What was that?

Saliva?

An absurd thought surfaced uncontrollably once again.

Lilia’s pupils suddenly contracted.

Could it be…

Step by step, Lilia walked back to the bedside. Her body bent forward uncontrollably, slowly, drawing closer to that suspicious mark.

Then, she caught a faint, extremely faint sweetness—mixed with Hera’s scent.

It was not an illusion.

Absolutely not an illusion!

Lilia’s pupils shrank sharply as a loud “boom” exploded in her mind, bursting into dazzling fireworks.

She forcefully suppressed those bizarre thoughts about whether “the Queen’s saliva might be some kind of supreme tonic,” desperately telling herself to stay calm.

Subconsciously, she glanced around, guiltily confirming that she was the only one in the Bedchamber.

Then, an even bolder—more suicidal—thought uncontrollably emerged from the depths of her heart.

Should she…?

The moment that thought appeared, Lilia wanted to slap herself hard.

She had gone mad! Completely mad!

How could she have such a perverted idea?

Just as Lilia’s rationality and desire clashed wildly, locked in an intense internal battle, a cold electronic voice suddenly rang out in her mind.

【Ding! Detected that the host is engaging in a high-risk suicidal action. Emergency mission issued!】

【Option One: A brave maid fears no hardship! …】

【Mission Reward: ???】

【Failure Penalty: Randomly confiscate one acquired skill from the host.】

“……”

Lilia froze.

She stood there in a bent posture, momentarily unable to react.

She even suspected that she had not slept well last night and was experiencing auditory hallucinations.

What did the System just tell her to do?

Why was this broken System becoming more outrageous by the day?!

Lilia roared inwardly, her face flushing to the color of pig liver.

Was she that kind of person? Would she throw away her dignity just for some reward?

Although she usually had little dignity to begin with, this was way too perverted!

“How is this any different from being a pervert?!”

【Host, please note. Mission countdown begins: 60, 59, 58…】

Lilia panicked.

She only had a handful of usable skills to her name. If one were randomly confiscated, her survival difficulty would skyrocket straight to hell mode.

“Wait!” Lilia shouted inwardly. “System! Something’s wrong with you! Did you get infected by a virus or something?!”

“You weren’t like this before! Weren’t you always telling me to please Hera and maintain Her Majesty’s dignity? Why are you issuing such a low-class mission this time? You’re trying to get me killed!”

The System fell silent.

The countdown also stopped at “33”.

Just when Lilia thought the System had finally grown a conscience and was about to withdraw this perverted mission, the notification sound rang out again.

【Detected intense emotional fluctuations in the host and strong resistance to the mission content… Initiating humanized adjustment…】

【Adjustment complete.】

【New mission issued: Reciprocity is the essence of “courtesy.”】

【Mission Description: According to the System’s precise calculations, the host was unconsciously “ambushed” once by Her Majesty last night. Based on the principle of fairness and equivalence, the host must, within 24 hours, complete a “return gesture” of the same level toward Her Majesty.】

【Mission Reward: General Skill Book 《Shadow Step (Intermediate)》×1, Free Attribute Point ×1.】

【Failure Penalty: None.】

Lilia looked at the new mission description and once again fell into silence.

Although the mission content had changed from “xxx” to “kiss back,” drastically lowering its outrageousness, the execution difficulty had increased exponentially!

Kiss Hera?

How was that any different from performing a sliding tackle straight at her face?

Before her lips could even touch, she would probably turn into an ice sculpture first.

However…

“No penalty for failure?” Lilia keenly caught the key point.

【Yes, Host. This mission is a Hidden Welfare Mission. The host may choose whether to complete it.】 The System’s voice sounded incomparably upright.

Lilia narrowed her eyes.

A welfare mission? Since when had this damned System been so kind?

No punishment if she failed, huge profit if she succeeded.

Lilia’s heart began to stir restlessly.

This… seemed worth gambling on?

That soft, warm sensation from last night seemed to once again surface on her cheek.

Lilia’s cheeks began to heat up uncontrollably.

“Let’s do it!”
