After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid

Lilia waved her hand grandly. “Now, class begins!”

She casually pulled a file from the pile of moldy documents and spread it open on the table.

“This is the military supply report from Blackstone Fortress for the last quarter.” Lilia pointed at one line. “Look here— ‘Warhorse feed consumption: three thousand gold coins.’”

The succubi craned their necks, completely bewildered.

“Who can tell me what’s wrong here?” Lilia scanned the room.

No one spoke.

Venessa cautiously opened her mouth. “Is it… too expensive?”

“Expensive is just the surface.” Lilia let out a cold laugh. “Blackstone Fortress is stationed with a heavy infantry regiment. There’s no cavalry unit at all! Only a few old horses used by the commander for transportation!”

“A few old horses eating three thousand gold coins in one quarter? Do they eat gold and crap diamonds?”

The succubi’s eyes widened instantly.

“So, where did those three thousand gold coins go?” Lilia tapped the table. “Into the commander’s pocket— turned into the necklace around his mistress’s neck, turned into the fine wine in his private cellar!”

“This is a loophole! This is the kind of ‘rat’ we’re looking for!”

The succubi, who had originally been completely uninterested in these dull numbers, suddenly had a change in their expressions.

This feeling… seemed even more exciting than whipping prisoners directly?

No need to sell their bodies, no need to navigate through stinking piles of men— just sitting here, flipping through papers, and they could control the life and death of powerful figures?

This sense of controlling life and death had a fatal attraction for succubi, who were naturally inclined toward power and domination.

“Teach me! Lady Lilia!” Fiona was the first to raise her hand, her eyes shining with excitement. “I want to learn how to take down that Blackstone Fortress commander! That bastard tried to take advantage of me last time!”

“I want to learn too!”

“Me too!”

Looking at this group of “new employees” who had instantly become eager to learn, the huge weight in Lilia’s heart finally dropped.

Good. The persuasion— no, ideological education— was successful.

Over the next few hours, the storage room presented an extremely bizarre scene.

Ten hot-bodied succubi sat upright, each holding a feather pen, frowning as they stared at the ledgers and documents in front of them. Occasionally, they would let out sudden exclamations of realization or grind their teeth in anger.

Lilia moved among them, stopping from time to time to give guidance.

“Fiona, your calculation is wrong. A ‘loss rate’ exceeding thirty percent is no longer loss— that’s outright looting. Circle it. Red ink.”

“Venessa, don’t just stare at the gold coins. Look at the timing of material allocations. This batch of weapons was requested after the battle had already ended. What does that mean? It means they’re falsifying battle losses to cheat inventory.”

It had to be said— Camilla’s eye for selecting people was indeed sharp.

These succubi truly deserved to be called elite agents. Their minds worked incredibly fast. They had an innate sensitivity to schemes and conspiracies, and once they grasped the basic logic of auditing, their learning speed was astonishing.

Some of them could even draw inferences from a simple cafeteria procurement list, deducing improper benefit exchanges between logistics officers and suppliers.

In just one afternoon, the first batch of piled-up documents awaiting review had already been processed by more than half.

Looking at the stack of “problem files” growing higher and higher, Lilia couldn’t help but sigh internally. Sometimes, these succubi who constantly schemed about how to manipulate others were far more useful than those clerks who only knew how to study books rigidly.

As evening approached, the afterglow of the setting sun streamed through the high ventilation window into the storage room, casting a golden edge over the space filled with the scent of old paper.

Lilia stretched, feeling soreness in her waist and back. Teaching was more exhausting than fighting.

“Not bad.” She picked up a neatly organized report handed over by Venessa. It was densely marked with over a dozen suspicious points, clearly structured with solid evidence.

Venessa’s face flushed slightly at the praise, even showing a hint of shyness.

That expression on a torture expert known for ruthlessness was honestly a bit terrifying.

Camilla, who had been leaning by the door like a statue all this time, finally moved.

She stepped in with her high heels, swaying with each step.

This woman had watched the show all afternoon— now she finally couldn’t hold back?

Camilla stopped in front of Lilia, the distance between them dangerously close.

“You really surprised me.”

She casually picked up a report from the desk, flipping through it carelessly, her nails scraping against the paper with an unpleasant sound.

“I originally thought that within half an hour, you’d run crying to Her Majesty, complaining that these girls were impossible to manage.”

She tossed the report back onto the desk, leaned slightly forward, and brought her lips close to Lilia’s ear, her voice lazy and husky. “Or that you’d be devoured by them until not even your bones remained.”

Lilia resisted the urge to step back, maintaining her cold, expressionless face. “You’re joking. As long as you find the right method, they’re still usable.”

“Usable?”

Camilla seemed to hear something amusing and let out a low laugh.

The sound vibrated in her chest, carrying a trace of unclear mockery.

“Little cutie, you don’t actually think I handed them over to you to help lighten your workload, do you?”

Of course Lilia knew Camilla had ulterior motives.

“Regardless of your original intention,” Lilia calmly tilted her head, freeing her hair from Camilla’s fingers, her tone stiff, “the result is good. Master will be satisfied.”

“Master…”

A complex emotion flashed through Camilla’s eyes. Jealousy? Unwillingness? Or something else?

She withdrew her hand, crossing her arms as those captivating eyes fixed tightly on Lilia.

“Lilia.”

Camilla suddenly became serious. The frivolity in her tone disappeared, replaced by an inscrutable chill.

Lilia’s heart skipped.

The sweet fragrance in the air seemed to freeze instantly.

Camilla wasn’t smiling.

That stunning face, which always carried a playful, teasing expression as if she had seen through all worldly affairs, was now completely blank.

No expression— that was the most terrifying.

Lilia’s heart clenched sharply, as if gripped by an invisible hand.

This wasn’t that seductive, bed-throwing kind of aura— this was real killing intent, forged from mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

Lilia instinctively tensed her thigh muscles, her fingers curling slightly within her sleeves, ready at any moment to pull something out from under her skirt… no, ready to call the System.

“Relax.”

Camilla saw through her tension, and that suffocating pressure eased slightly.

She reached out, her slender fingertip lightly flicking Lilia’s brand-new maid uniform collar.

“I just suddenly realized… I seem to have made a mistake.”

Lilia didn’t dare respond, her throat dry.

“I always thought you were just a slightly lucky little pet.”

Camilla’s voice was soft, echoing in the silent storage room, devoid of emotion.

She turned and walked toward Venessa, who was still trembling while clutching her wrist.

Venessa’s face turned pale with fright, thinking the Duke was about to punish her for losing face, and she was about to kneel and beg for mercy—

But Camilla merely glanced at her indifferently, her gaze lingering on the swollen, twisted wrist for a second.

“Quite ruthless.”

Camilla turned back, looking at Lilia again, her red lips parting slightly.
