Incredible Insight: Toy Factory Discovers Swarm Drones

Chapter 168 Military Ranks!”Old Zhang, look at how this kid has repeatedly made significant contributions to the country. I think we should propose to our superiors that we officially grant him a military rank!”

Liu Jianguo’s solemn words caused the scene, which had just been slightly relaxed due to the technology transfer, to fall into silence once again.

The Air Force Major General known as Old Zhang had the smile on his face falter slightly.

He glanced at Li Jiajun, who was still in a state of numbness beside him, and then looked at the earnest-faced Liu Jianguo, a trace of peculiarity showing in his eyes.

Give this kid a military rank?

With his constitution for causing trouble, and that mouth that wants to challenge the heavens and the earth every now and then?

If he were to join the military, wouldn’t he just poke a hole in the sky?

As for Li Jiajun, upon hearing the words ”military rank,” a ripple finally appeared in his originally hollow and numb eyes.

’Military rank?’

’For me?’

’What kind of international joke is this?!’ such a thought surfaced in his mind.

If they gave him a military rank, wouldn’t he be unable to explain himself clearly?

However, Liu Jianguo did not give him a chance to refute.

The matter was settled just like that in a quiet atmosphere.

In the end, as the military’s heavy truck fleet drove in and out like a torrent of steel, Li Jiajun’s factory, which had just regained a bit of vitality, was cleared out once again.

That twin-tailed scorpion, which carried his innocent civilian dreams, along with all relevant blueprints, data, and production equipment, was packed up overnight and transported to an unknown destination.

Li Jiajun stood in the empty factory, watching the fleet drive away in a cloud of dust, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

Once again.

Same familiar formula, same familiar taste.

He felt like a poor girl being repeatedly PUA’d by a scumbag, each time being deceived by the other party’s sweet words to give everything, only to end up with a huge check and a sentence of ”I’ll come to you next time.”

Soon, the public relations department of Shunfeng Group released an official and vague announcement overnight.

The announcement claimed that in order to support the country’s major strategic development needs, the originally planned drone logistics project would undergo major adjustments, with specific plans to be announced later.

As for the bold words made by President Wang at the previous press conference guaranteeing that it would never be requisitioned, the announcement did not mention a single word.

Once this announcement was released, it immediately caused an uproar in the capital market and on the internet.

Countless shareholders and Netizens left comments under Shunfeng’s official media, asking what exactly happened.

”Major strategic development needs? Why do I smell a familiar scent?”

”Adjustment? I’m afraid it was adjusted directly into the military, right?”

”Where is President Wang? President Wang, come out and walk a few steps! Didn’t you guarantee it with your personality?”

”Laughing to death, facts prove that in front of Li Jiajun’s passive military-industrial halo, any business tycoon’s personality is made of paper.”

Of course, these online clamors could not affect the true core of the incident for the time being.

...

A few days later. In the Imperial Capital, at a certain top-level internal conference room.

The atmosphere was serious and carried a hint of irrepressible excitement.

On the huge electronic screen, test footage of the twin-tailed scorpion drone performing various extreme maneuvers at an altitude of ten thousand meters was playing repeatedly.

The specifications of the meeting were extremely high; not only were there big shots from various military departments, but even a high-ranking big leader who rarely appeared personally attended.

It was really because the potential shown by the twin-tailed scorpion was too astonishing.

An Expert from the Air Force Research Institute was holding a laser pointer, pointing at the data on the screen, reporting with an excited tone:

”Leaders, after our preliminary tests over the past few days, we can be one hundred percent certain that this twin-tailed scorpion drone’s core technical concept is at least ten years ahead of our current level!”

”First is its ultra-long range and endurance. We replicated the intelligent wind-assisted variable cycle engine designed by Comrade Li Jiajun and found that its energy utilization rate during high-altitude gliding has already exceeded the limits of our theoretical understanding! It is not flying; it is mastering the stratosphere!”

”Second is its stealth and penetration capabilities. That system named ’Express Cargo Hold’ by Comrade Li Jiajun, after our simulation, is confirmed to be a brand-new combat mode that integrates multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) strikes, theater hovering deterrence, and terminal stealth penetration. This has epoch-making significance for us to break through existing anti-missile systems!”

”And that navigation system...”

Every word from the Expert made the hearts of the generals present heat up.

When the report ended, the entire conference room was already an ocean of excitement and relief.

They were relieved that such a powerful weapon was born in the Eastern Country.

At the end of the meeting, it entered the summary session.

As the chief Expert and contributor in handling the events related to Li Jiajun, Liu Jianguo was asked to go on stage to give a summary speech.

Liu Jianguo stood up wearily; he had not prepared any long-winded manuscript.

He just walked to the front of the stage and gave a summary.

There are also some related videos.

”Play the video.”

The technical staff immediately understood and retrieved an encrypted video file.

The video quickly played the events that had happened during this period through fast editing.

As it played quickly, it reached the gas canisters incident, one of the two most recent events.

The screen on the big display changed.

It switched to a somewhat familiar office scene.

In the frame, a young man was pointing at a document, his face full of grievances for being wronged, waving his arms, using all his strength, and letting out that deafening soul roar:

”Who the hell reads an instruction manual backwards!!”

The video was not long, only a short dozen seconds.

But that deep-felt grievance, that sorrow and indignation of ’I intended to turn my heart to the bright moon, but the bright moon shines on the ditch,’ was transmitted accurately through the screen to the hearts of every big shot present.

In the conference room, there was first a brief silence.

Immediately after, I don’t know who couldn’t hold it back first, and let out a snicker.

This laughter was like lighting the fuse of a powder keg.

”Hahahaha...”

”Ahem... reading the manual backwards... this kid...”

”I can’t take it anymore... this reason is too damn perfect...”

The laughter that had been suppressed for a long time erupted completely at this moment. Including the big leader who had always been stern, all the big shots attending could no longer hold it in, laughing until they were bending over, tears almost streaming out.

A very high-ranking big shot in the military was so amused that he kept slapping the table, pointing at the young man still roaring on the screen, laughing and scolding as he made the decision on the spot:

”Talent! This kid is definitely a talent!”

”This video cannot be buried! Encrypt it for me immediately, and as a negative example for safety education material, distribute it to all military industrial units and research institutes! Let them all learn properly how an instruction manual should be written! They must fully consider the extreme situations where the user does not play by the rules!”

In an ocean of joy, Liu Jianguo stood quietly on the stage, looking at the young man on the screen whose cheeks were flushed with anger, his expression complex.

After the gas canisters incident came this current matter.

After it finished playing.

Liu Jianguo cleared his throat, waiting for the laughter in the conference room to subside a little.

Then, he turned around, facing the big leader and all the attending leaders, and with an unprecedented solemn tone, proposed the suggestion he had been calculating in his heart for a long time.

”Leaders, comrades.”

”In view of Comrade Li Jiajun having repeatedly made disruptive and significant contributions in the field of national defense technology.”

”I propose that we should officially grant him a military rank!”

Once these words were spoken, the whole room instantly fell silent.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on Liu Jianguo.
