Incredible Insight: Toy Factory Discovers Swarm Drones

Chapter 62 Miniaturized High-Power Pulse Electromagnetic Drive EngineNext... naturally, it was time to address the first and most core requirement proposed by The little brother—speed.

Having solved the core pain point of making it invisible to parents, Li Jiajun was in a fantastic mood. He felt that The little brother with the ID ”Long Aoao” was simply his destined lucky star. This order had simple requirements, a pure purpose, and was filled with innocent, childlike fun, perfectly aligning with his new positioning for his toy factory to ”return to the right path” and completely wash away the ”military-industrial infamy.”

To be the ”neighborhood racing king,” the speed had to be the fastest.

”Speed, huh? That’s easy to solve.”

Li Jiajun sat back contentedly in his newly purchased ergonomic executive chair. Facing the camera in the livestream room, he said with a tone full of technical superiority and confidence, ”It’s nothing more than an issue with motor power and energy modules. For me, it’s a piece of cake. I’ll have it sorted in minutes.”

After speaking, he even snapped his fingers stylishly. He looked as if solving a world-class power problem was no harder for him than solving a first-grade math problem.

He immediately opened the company’s internal procurement website and began searching through the dazzling array of suppliers for the top-performing specialized electric motors for children’s cars available on the market.

In his view, this was practically a given. With his current financial resources, he could buy the best on the market and ”optimize” it slightly. Wouldn’t crushing a bunch of kids’ ordinary toy cars be effortless?

However, reality soon gave him a resounding slap in the face.

As he clicked through the detailed specifications of products with flashy promotional images claiming ”track-level power,” the ”everything is under control” smile on his face gradually froze, then vanished, and finally turned into a constipated expression mixed with disbelief and speechlessness.

”Rated voltage 12V... maximum speed 3000 RPM? Is this thing an engine or an electric fan?”

”Peak power 500 watts... maximum speed... fifteen kilometers per hour?”

Li Jiajun looked at these outrageously weak figures, his mouth twitching uncontrollably, feeling utterly speechless.

With such pathetic performance, forget about being the neighborhood racing king; he probably couldn’t even outrun Grandma Wang’s wheezing Teddy dog from next door. If he encountered a nimble, athletic old man, the guy might even be able to catch up while jogging and casually deflate the tires.

How could this be? Absolutely not!

The customer’s demand was God’s will! Since he had promised to make The little brother the ”coolest kid” in the neighborhood, he had to deliver. This was Li Jiajun’s professional ethics as a ”high-end custom toy manufacturer”!

Frowning, he patiently began searching for higher-level power units, such as engines used in adult go-karts or small ATVs. But after looking around, the results were even more disappointing.

They were either as bulky as a small refrigerator and couldn’t fit into the toy car’s chassis at all, or they generated incredible noise and heat while emitting a foul smell of engine oil. He had no doubt that if he installed one, The little brother would come back as ”little smoked meat” after just one lap.

”This is trouble...”

Li Jiajun scratched his head, feeling a real bottleneck for the first time in this seemingly simple ”toy” project. His heart, which had just swelled with pride from his epiphany about the ”Optical Stealth Coating,” cooled down slightly.

Through the camera, the Netizens in the livestream room clearly saw his entire transition from extreme confidence to a constipated expression. Gloating bullet chats once again flooded the screen like a tide.

”Hahaha, is the Main Streamer facing a problem??? Haha, I’m enjoying this so much!”

”Didn’t you just say it was a piece of cake and would be done in minutes? Why have you wilted so quickly?”

”I told you, how fast can a toy car go? Just stick to the standard way!”

Li Jiajun looked at these bullet chats, feeling speechless.

He simply stopped paying attention to the bullet chats, closed the procurement website, stood up from his executive chair, and paced back and forth in his office. His brain, like a high-speed CPU, began to think frantically.

He needed speed, but also small size.

He needed strong power, but also safety and stability.

Traditional electric motor technology seemed to have reached an insurmountable bottleneck. To break through, he had to find another way and think about the problem from a completely new, disruptive perspective.

But what exactly should he do?

He rubbed his temples irritably, feeling a bit scrambled. He casually turned on the huge LCD TV in his office, wanting to clear his head, watch something random, and find some inspiration.

The TV happened to be broadcasting the evening economic news. On the screen, a train with a highly sci-fi, streamlined body that looked incredibly fast was speeding silently and steadily along a dedicated track. It didn’t feel like it was driving; it felt more like it was ”gliding” just above the ground.

The female news anchor’s clear and resonant voice accompanied the footage: ”Breaking news: our country’s independently developed next-generation high-speed maglev train successfully reached its design speed of 600 kilometers per hour today on the No. 1 Test Line along the East China Sea coast, once again breaking the ground vehicle speed record held by our country...”

The scene changed to an Expert wearing gold-rimmed glasses, looking elegant and like a technical genius, speaking eloquently to a reporter’s questions: ”...Our biggest technical breakthrough this time lies in the brand-new ’Long Stator Permanent Magnet Electromagnetic Drive System.’ Through revolutionary optimization of the stator coil structure and permanent magnet materials, along with a more efficient energy conversion control algorithm, we have successfully increased the conversion efficiency of electromagnetic force within a unit volume by more than 30%. Simply put, we used less energy and smaller volume to achieve faster speeds...”

Li Jiajun had originally just wanted to relax, but when he heard keywords like ”electromagnetic drive,” ”energy conversion efficiency,” and ”unit volume,” his eyes suddenly went wide.

It was as if he had been struck by an invisible bolt of lightning. He stood rooted to the spot, his mouth slightly agape, even forgetting to breathe.

Maglev train...

Electromagnetic force...

Drive...

’Right! How could I be so stupid!’

A thought exploded in his mind like a nuclear bomb!

’If a massive, heavy train can be levitated and driven by electromagnetic force, why can’t my tiny, lightweight toy car do the same? I don’t need levitation; I just need that driving force! If I can just miniaturize that huge, complex electromagnetic drive system to the limit and make it ultra-high power, wouldn’t that solve everything?’

The more he thought about it, the more excited he became. He felt as if he had pierced through a thick layer of paper, and everything suddenly became clear. He was so excited that his hair stood on end and his scalp tingled.

In that very instant!

Ding! [By watching the high-speed maglev train news, you have thought deeply about electromagnetic drive principles. Combined with the extreme requirements of the toy car application scenario, you have gained an epiphany for the basic theory of the ’Miniaturized High-Power Pulsed Electromagnetic Drive Engine’!]

The next second, a flood of knowledge more majestic and brilliant than any before, like a bursting river of stars, frantically poured into Li Jiajun’s mind once again!

Maxwell’s electromagnetic field theory, high-energy physics, pulsed power technology, superconductivity materials science, Lorentz force matrix algorithms... countless profound and obscure theories and formulas that would make any physics PhD go bald were forcibly poured into his brain. They were integrated in a way he could fully understand and master, finally forming a brand-new, epoch-making power system capable of overturning the entire era of internal combustion engines and electric motors!

’I see... By using high-frequency pulsed strong currents to generate instantaneous strong magnetic fields in a specially made Nano-coil array, and then using Lorentz force to directly push a rotor embedded with permanent magnets... this doesn’t require any traditional mechanical transmission structure at all! The efficiency of power transfer from electrical energy to kinetic energy is nearly 100%!’

Li Jiajun’s eyes were frighteningly bright. He suddenly grabbed the remote and turned off the TV, which was still droning on with other news. Like a child who had found a beloved toy, he shouted excitedly at the livestream camera with the fervor of someone who had discovered a new continent, ”family! I’ve got it! I know how to make that car run faster than a dog!”

After shouting, he didn’t even wait to explain a single word to the Netizens. Like a gust of wind, he rushed out of his office and headed straight for the workshop downstairs.

He had to put this genius idea onto blueprints right now, this very instant!

He couldn’t wait a single second!
