Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

199: Chapter 199 Reaping the Bitter FruitCao Kun watched as she finally made up her mind. His eyes showed no trace of emotion; he simply nodded.

”Very good.”

”From now on, follow my arrangements for everything. You just need to cooperate with me, and I will handle the rest.”

Shang Yuya took a deep breath and nodded vigorously.

At this moment, her heart was completely dead, but she was also completely awakened.

She was no longer the weak, easily bullied Shang Yuya who could be slaughtered at will. She was going to make Lou Dong pay the most painful price for all his evil deeds.

Cao Kun comforted Shang Yuya and told her to rest well in the room, not to go out, and not to contact anyone, pretending as if nothing had happened.

Afterward, he stood up and walked out of the bedroom.

The living room was a mess, with a faint smell of urine still lingering on the floor. Lou Dong was still unconscious in the corner, lying there like a dead dog, completely oblivious.

Cao Kun didn’t even spare him a glance. He took out his phone and dialed a number.

This number was one he had found on the phone of one of Scar Strong’s lackeys when he was dealing with them earlier; it was Scar Strong’s contact information.

He pressed the dial button, and the call was quickly connected. Scar Strong’s fierce and wary voice came from the other side: ”Who is this? You looking for death?”

Cao Kun leaned against the wall, his tone flat but carrying a powerful sense of pressure: ”Scar Strong, I’m Cao Kun, the person who saved Lou Dong’s wife at his house a few hours ago.”

Upon hearing Cao Kun’s name, Scar Strong’s voice instantly became tense, laced with a hint of dread: ”It’s you? What do you want? I’m telling you, I’m not afraid of you!”

Cao Kun’s powerful combat skills from a few hours ago still left him with lingering fears. Three or four of his lackeys had been taken down in seconds; he was simply no match for him.

”I don’t want to do anything specific,” Cao Kun said calmly. ”I’m looking for you to talk business—a deal that will let you make a lot of money and walk away scot-free.”

”Business?” Scar Strong was stunned for a moment, then sneered. ”What business do I have to talk about with you? You ruined my plans; it’s already good enough that I haven’t come to settle the score!”

”Lou Dong owes you 580,000 in loan shark debt, right?” Cao Kun cut straight to the point. That single sentence silenced Scar Strong.

This was Scar Strong’s biggest headache.

Lou Dong was a degenerate gambler with nothing to his name. He had no money, only his life.

It looked like that 580,000 was about to go down the drain.

”How do you know?” Scar Strong’s tone became wary.

”I know more than you imagine,” Cao Kun said in a deep voice. ”I’m giving you a chance now. Do one thing for me, and I’ll give you every cent of the 580,000 Lou Dong owes you.”

”On top of that, I’ll give you an extra 420,000. Added together, that’s exactly one million.”

One million!

The figure made Scar Strong gasp, and his breathing became rapid.

In all his years in the underworld, he had never made a million in one go.

”What... what do you want me to do?” Scar Strong’s voice trembled, filled with both excitement and fear.

He knew there was no such thing as a free lunch. A one-million-yuan reward meant it was definitely no small matter.

”It’s simple,” Cao Kun’s voice was ice-cold. ”Find someone to run over Lou Dong with a car and kill him.”

These words exploded in Scar Strong’s ears like a clap of thunder.

He was instantly scared out of his wits and immediately roared into the phone: ”You’re crazy! Murder? That’s a capital offense! I won’t do it! I want money, but I don’t want to kill someone and go to prison!”

A life for a life—that was the most basic principle.

Although he was a loan shark who usually fought and bullied ordinary people, he absolutely did not dare to commit intentional homicide.

Once caught, it would be the death penalty, and he didn’t want to die yet.

”I knew you would refuse.” Cao Kun wasn’t surprised at all. His tone remained steady as he calmly analyzed the situation for him.

”So, let me make it clear to you. Not only will you not go to jail for this, but you’ll also be able to walk away with a million in peace.”

”Did you think I would have you commit some brainless murder?”

Scar Strong panted heavily, suppressing the fear in his heart as he said coldly, ”Running someone over with a car—if that’s not intentional homicide, what is? Don’t try to fool me!”

”Fooling you does me no good,” Cao Kun explained slowly, every word clear and hitting home. ”What I want you to do is stage an accidental traffic collision.”

”Find a reliable driver. At night, on a remote stretch of road, while driving normally, Lou Dong suddenly rushes out. The driver can’t dodge in time and hits him, killing him instantly.”

”In legal terms, this is a traffic accident, not intentional homicide.”

”The maximum sentence for the Crime of Causing a Traffic Accident is only a few years. What’s more, I have a way to ensure you don’t even have to step foot in prison.”

Scar Strong held his breath and listened intently. The fear in his heart was gradually replaced by a sliver of hope.

”How can you guarantee I won’t go to jail?” Scar Strong asked in a deep voice.

”Simple. A Letter of Leniency,” Cao Kun said word by word.

”The deceased is Lou Dong. His legal spouse, Shang Yuya, is his only family. I will have Shang Yuya issue a Letter of Leniency for you.”

”The law stipulates that in deaths caused by traffic accidents, as long as there is active compensation and the victim’s family provides a Letter of Leniency, the court will give a lighter or reduced sentence. There is a high probability of a suspended sentence or even no prosecution at all.”

”Simply put, you won’t have to go to jail, and you’ll still get the money.”

”Lou Dong himself is a degenerate gambler buried in debt. If he dies, no one will stand up for him. When the police investigate, they will only classify it as a common traffic accident. No one will suspect you, and certainly no one will suspect me or Shang Yuya.”

”Think about it. You recover the 580,000 debt in full and make an extra 420,000—one million in total.”

”And all you need to do is arrange a seamless accidental car crash, get the family’s Letter of Leniency, and walk away scot-free.”

”For you, this is an extremely profitable venture with minimal risk.”

Cao Kun’s analysis was logically sound and airtight, reducing all risks to the absolute minimum.

Scar Strong fell into complete silence.

Having scrambled through the underworld for so many years, he knew the loopholes in the law well.

Cao Kun was right. With a Letter of Leniency, a traffic accident could indeed be minimized and resolved easily.

On one side was a huge sum of one million; on the other was almost zero risk.

On one side was the 580,000 debt he could never recover; on the other was a guaranteed profitable deal.

On one side was that degenerate gambler Lou Dong, whose death no one would mourn; on the other was wealth within reach.

The massive temptation was like an invisible hand, tightly gripping Scar Strong’s heart.

He swallowed hard, his mind frantically weighing the pros and cons.

Cao Kun didn’t rush him, quietly waiting for his answer.

He knew that people like Scar Strong were driven by profit. As long as the profit was large enough and the risk small enough, he would definitely agree.

After a full ten minutes, Scar Strong’s hoarse and heavy voice came through the phone, carrying a sense of desperate determination.

”Fine.”

”I’ll do it.”

”We’ll do as you say.”

”One million. An accident. Kill Lou Dong.”

A cold smile curled at the corner of Cao Kun’s mouth.

The game has officially begun.

Lou Dong, you meticulously planned to kill your wife for the insurance money; today, I will make you reap what you have sown.
