Chapter 605: Chapter 504: Fan Meeting_1

It wasn’t just Jacob; Morgan and the others behind him also felt their eyelids twitching uncontrollably. They threw a furtive glance to the side, staring at the student who had just hurried back.

The student, who had specifically gone to seek help from other teachers, was sprinting over, his face pale, shaking his head hopelessly at Morgan.

Apart from Jacob, no one else was willing to come.

A chill ran through Morgan’s heart.

And then, another chill, even colder.

Because Huai Shi had looked over.

”I heard I have a lot of fans here. Must be you folks, right?” Huai Shi asked genially. For some reason, however, they suddenly felt a cold sensation at the base of their necks.

They wanted to argue, but what was there to argue about at this point? Weren’t they the ones secretly instigating? Now that he had come to their doorstep, was there any need to argue?

”I am flattered by your unwarranted affection.” Huai Shi smiled gently and took a step forward. ”Today, I’m specially here to hold a fan meeting for everyone.”

CRASH.

The entire club seemed to shake abruptly from the force of his stomp. Beneath Huai Shi’s feet, the club’s floor tiles cracked, piercing through the surface cement, his footprint sinking deep into the soil.

Walking into the Purebloods’ club with such an imperious air, he surveyed the exquisite decorations all around, clicking his tongue in appreciation.

At this moment, Jacob could no longer sit by and watch Huai Shi’s audaciousness. He furiously positioned himself in front, glaring at Huai Shi’s face. ”Aren’t you going to leave any room for grace?”

”Or what?” Huai Shi sneered. ”After all, what does this matter have to do with you? Teacher, aren’t you taking yourself too seriously? In the end, you don’t have any say in this—”

Jacob flew into a rage. ”I am the guidance teacher here!”

”Then you can be responsible for it.” Huai Shi’s expression instantly turned icy cold. Without waiting for Jacob to react, he took another step forward, making the whole club shake again.

”Today, I brought my students here not to demand an explanation by force, but to tell him: Justice is right here, but it’s not given by others; you always need to take it with your own hands!”

Huai Shi advanced, pressing closer with each step. ”Since you just said that issues between students should be resolved by the students themselves, then conflicts between teachers shall be settled by teachers! It’s time to show them—the way adults resolve problems is with their hands, not with their mouths!”

He gazed intently at the face so close to him, asking, word by word, ”Aside from that mouth of yours, what else do you have that’s worth showing?”

Jacob’s face turned from pale to flushed. He instinctively looked left and right, only to realize no colleagues had arrived.

By now, how could he not understand what was happening? Probably he was the only one who came here today...

But driven to this point by Huai Shi, how could he find an exit?

”Fine, resolving problems, is it?” His face was taut with anger as he gritted his teeth. ”Then have it your way!”

The entire club suddenly shook once again. Right in the center of the hall, a pure white Domain and space unfurled. A myriad of colored tiles inverted and vanished, eventually coalescing into a slate-grey stone slab—spacious and tranquil.

Within the Ivory Tower, this represented the so-called ’classroom.’

Suspended Classroom.

It was a temporary, yet physically real, virtual space created for teaching, authorized by the academic affairs office. It was remarkably similar to the simulations in the Book of Fate, though it lacked the same flexibility in available scenarios to select and use.

Because of its safety, it was used for the majority of hazardous courses and teaching. This helped avoid injuries that not even the school infirmary could remedy.

In this framework ordained by the Creator, all who entered were temporarily transformed into recorded life forms for simulation. Naturally, there was no need to worry about mortal danger.

However, the application process was complex. Additionally, classical music appreciation didn’t really call for its use. So, even with the authority, Huai Shi had been too lazy to activate and register it.

This was his first experience, and it all looked quite novel to him. He seemed like a total country bumpkin.

”What are you waiting for, Mr. Huai Shi?” Jacob withdrew two daggers from behind his waist and said coldly, ”Just let me see if you’re as miraculous as that idiot Kusaki proclaims.”

”Not so fast.” Huai Shi stood at the edge of the Suspended Classroom but gestured for his two students to come forward.

Once Wood Cottage and Yuan Yuan approached, he looked at their faces thoughtfully. Then, he earnestly said, ”As a teacher, I have received your and your elders’ trust and expectations. However, I am limited by the scarcity of my own knowledge. I don’t know what I should teach you or whether I can foster your growth. On that account, I am not a qualified teacher.”

Lin Nineteen and Yuan Yuan opened their mouths to speak, but Huai Shi waved his hand, indicating for them not to interrupt.

Then, Huai Shi continued, ”Next, consider this my first lesson for you. I hope you’ll listen attentively; it would be best if you can learn something. If you can’t, don’t worry. I can teach you again, understand?”

Lin Nineteen seemed to grasp the implication and nodded quickly.
