What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 974: We Have A Business?

I basically gathered everyone in the kitchen of the bar where they had a rather surprisingly elaborate kitchen set up.

It wasn’t even the automated cookers but actual stoves and cooking appliances that were similar to the ones you might find a professional chef using.

A professional chef by this universe’s standards at least.

They even have some organic ingredients stocked though most of them were basically used for cocktail mixing like organic fruits and others meant to serve as snacks for the rich while they drank.

At first, the plan was just to cook for the girls and the couple, but then I saw their staff was still hard at work so I decided I might as well just cook for everyone tonight.

Vier was there to help me so it wasn’t just me cooking, since she could make food that was still quite delicious as well.

Everyone else was just waiting in anticipation as I made several different dishes that were made for sharing, using some extra ingredients that I had the girls buy from a rather high end store inside the station.

It was rather expensive but... We can afford it at this point.

I baked several pans of lasagne, several pizzas, a few pies with different fillings each, pieces of roasted ribs, fries of different cuts and sauces, several different breads and rolls as well as a large pot of stew.

There was a lot of food but I was quite sure that this would end up getting polished clean by everyone before the end of the night.

In fact... I felt it might not even be enough and I might need to make more food later.

For now though... I served the array of food on a large table in the centre of the club, letting everyone come forward to fill up their plates with food to start enjoying them.

I was already expecting it so I wasn’t surprised when everyone basically melted into puddles of bliss when they started eating the food I made.

I found it amusing that while some people ate the food slowly and savouring it like it was the last meal they would ever have, others were wolfing it down like their lives depended on it, cleaning their plates clean in minutes despite the fact it had been piled high with food before that.

My girls obviously belonged to the latter which was already a sight I was used to seeing as they practically inhaled the food on their plates to the point that not even a crumb or even a speck of sauce remained on their plates.

Naturally, they went for seconds and the moment the other staff saw that they could refill their plates, they were also scrambling to finish what they had before going for a second round as well.

As I expected, there wasn’t enough food and I had to take to the kitchens a second time, not that I mind especially since Valiea and Ragbar gave orders to the staff to buy even more ingredients for me which I was free to use however I liked.

I ended up making more pots of stew with bread to accompany them as well as a large platter of sharing meat, veggies and fish which everyone could just gather around and eat directly out of.

I was also eating my own food of course, though it was mostly either Renata or Vier feeding me while I was cooking which I quite enjoyed.

I even got Vier to feed me some of her cooking and I have to say that it was definitely delicious. As expected of Vier I suppose~

We finished the dinner session with everyone all blissed out at the end and just collapsing in their seats in their respective food comas, all of them in a state of bliss as they basked in the aftermath of eating my cooking.

Valiea was laying beside Ragbar, the both of them looking completely blissed out and satisfied.

”How was the food?” I asked.

Valiea shuddered, ”I think... I think you ruined us, Tera... I... I can’t eat anything else aside from your cooking now...”

I chuckled, ”I’m glad you liked it then.”

Ragbar sniffed, ”How are you even able to do something like this? I’ve even tasted the cooking from Inner Colony chefs too and none of them could compare to what you have made here!”

I waved my hand at him, ”I know exactly what you mean. I’m planning to attend a cooking school just to see how they teach their chefs soon.”

He stiffened for a moment before relaxing, ”Oh right... I almost forgot that you didn’t have a cooking license... You really are something else, Tera... Also... Just to check...”

He looked around to make sure nobody else was looking at us before leaning forward to whisper, ”That Dragonling... That’s Vieretha Iceborne isn’t it?”

The bartender nodded in the direction of Vier who was busy cataloguing the leftover ingredients that we would be bringing back to the ship after this.

I raised an eyebrow at him, ”I’m more surprised you know her but... Yes, she is.”

”Is she your sponsor?”

”What does that mean?”

”I mean like... Are you working under her? You know? Like she bought over your group to be her private mercenaries or something?”

I shook my head, ”That’s not it. She’s working under me as my logistics officer. So she’s under me, not the other way around.”

He blinked at me, ”You got Vieretha Iceborne... Like THE Vieretha Iceborne... The one who supposedly single handedly runs several companies under the Iceborne family... To work for you as a logistics officer?”

”Yep.”

”What... What are you even blackmailing her with?”

I pretended to be offended, ”How rude. I didn’t force her, ok? She was the one that wanted it. In fact, I would even say that she was the one who came to ask me to let her in instead of the other way around.”

He smirked, ”If it was anyone else saying that... I would have said that they were lying or being delusional. But I can actually believe it specifically because it’s you.”

I want to ask what that was supposed to mean but Valiea spoke up at that moment.

”Tera? Are you planning to do any business in the future? Are you open to having us as your investors?”

That caught me by surprise as I turned my attention to her, ”Why do you ask?”

”I mean... Even I know who Vieretha Iceborne is despite being someone from the Outer Colonies... I thought you might have caught her attention because you have some kind of business plan in mind and she chose to follow you because of that.”

I grimaced a little, wondering how exactly I should tell them about this.

As though she knew we were talking about her, Vier suddenly turned and walked over to us, appearing beside me like a ghost.

”Are you perhaps wondering why I am following Tera?” She asked, looking amused like she was sharing a private joke.

Both Ragbar and Valiea gaped at her before nodding their heads at the same time.

She then wrapped her arm around mine and let out a chuckle, ”Fufufu~ It is a very simple reason actually. I simply fell in love with Tera at first sight and I decided to devote myself to her for the rest of my life~”

Both bartenders were just staring at the black Dragonling like she had told them that she was a white Dragonling.

The two of them then switched their gaze to me, looking at me to figure out if she was actually telling the truth or not.

I could only give them a subtle nod to show that it was indeed the case with her.

Before they could say anything else, Vier spoke up again, ”Now... I overheard you asking if my Tera wanted to set up a business... We just so happen are in a business right now and I would like to ask if you’re interested in being one of our customers for it~”

Eh? Wait... We are? Since when did we even start a business?

That’s when Vier pulled out a bottle which I was quite familiar with, since it was one of the bottles I would use to store my condiments.

”We’re selling these condiments made by Tera which you can put in the food that you make. It won’t make it as delicious as the ones that she personally makes, but it certainly will make it taste better. You can join our subscription service where we--”

”Whatever it is, we’ll take it,” Valiea interrupted, her eyes already shining as she beheld the bottle.

”Pleasure doing business with you. On that note, I also have some suggestions in relation to investments if you are up for it?”

”Of... Of course! We... We have an office at the back!”

”Perfect. In that case, please excuse me, Tera~ I shall be right back~”

I watched as Valiea and Ragbar led Vier away to the aforementioned office.

Ok... I’ll err... Just pretend that didn’t just happen...
