What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Mara?! What are you doing?!

She pushed me down onto the couch and she seemed to be panting as well.

Hasani peeked over his screen and saw the scene, but instead of being surprised, he seemed annoyed.

”It’s not even been a minute…”

I managed to get my hand in between myself and Mara so that I could stop her from kissing me to look at the lion guy.

”What are you talking about?” I demanded.

He steepled his fingers in front of him, ”I believe you can see that I have gene modded myself, yes?”

Mara tried to lean forward again and I had to push her back once more.

Any other time, Mara… And I would gladly start making out with you… But now is not the time…

I grimaced at him, ”Oh really? I thought you were just naturally hairy and your nose and hands were just bigger than normal!”

He frowned, ”How are you… Wait… Were you being sarcastic?”

”Oh wow, you couldn’t tell? Of course I was being sarcastic! Get to the point! Why the fuck are you even telling me this?! Ahhh…”

A moan escaped from my lips when Mara started groping my chest, her hands squeezing my globes and massaging them expertly.

He didn’t seem to be bothered by the sight of that and simply continued, ”You see… I’m quite fascinated by the science of being able to genetically splice yourself to change your body, so in my youth, I was quite adventurous and went to experiment with gene splicing quite a bit. I got--”

”Yeah, sorry to interrupt but what does any of that have to do with what is happening right now?” I asked, interrupting him.

He huffed, ”Well, I was just getting to that part. I spliced myself to try and look like a lion since I believe they were called the king of animals or something like that in the past. But since I wasn’t well versed in animal biology, surprising I know, how could someone like me not know about that, right? Anyway… Since I wasn’t well versed in it, I didn’t know about how the pills would affect my pheromones especially with how I took them.”

I read between the lines and understood the reason why this was happening now…

That ’earthy’ scent I was smelling wasn’t the air freshener they were using in the station but the pheromones that this guy was giving out.

And since this was his office, the smell would definitely be more prominent here since he spends more time in this room than outside the corridor.

I let out a grunt, ”So you’re telling me that my… Crew mate is acting like this… Because of your smell?”

He nodded, ”Pretty much. So no need to worry, I’ve seen things like this happen all the time already. Although… Hmm… Usually they would direct their attention to me so I’m surprised her target is you inatead.”

I growled at him, ”And I suppose you use this to get girls in your pants too?”

”Hmm? Of course not. I have no interest in girls. Although I will admit I use this to get guys in my pants since I’m gay.”

I raised an eyebrow at him, ”That doesn’t make it any better? You’re tricking guys to sleep with you?”

He shrugged, ”I wouldn’t call it ’trick’. The pheromones basically lowers a person’s sexual inhibitions so for them to sleep with me would mean they were already interested in me in the first place. Sure, it does ramp it up quite a bit but that’s not my problem.”

”You’re literally causing it, how can you say it’s not your problem?!”

He leaned against his paw, ”I don’t think that you are especially hating your current position right now so I don’t see what’s the problem?”

”I’m not interested in putting my relationship on show for you, that’s the problem!”

He went back to looking at his screen, ”Oh, you’ll change your opinion in a few more minutes so I don’t really see the problem with that either. Just clean up after you’re done, yeah?”

What the heck is wrong with this guy?!

”Mnn… Tera… I love you…” Mara moaned, the usually stoic girl rocking herself against me lustfully while her hands continued to massage my chest.

She was still trying to kiss me and it was taking all I had to keep her away because I know if I were to give in to that, I would definitely not be able to hold back either and would most likely just go ahead and start making out with her right there.

”Nghh… Come on… You’re better than this… Don’t let his pheromones control you…” I groaned.

Mara moaned, ”But… I can’t help it… It feels so right to just do it now…”

”If… Mnnggh… If you don’t stop now, I’m not giving you any honey anymore!”

All of a sudden, the weight on top of me disappeared and Mara backed away almost immediately, huddling herself in the corner of the couch.

”Uggghhhh… I want to… But I can’t… The honey…” She groaned.

I actually didn’t think that would be effective in getting her to stop but I wasn’t going to complain.

I straightened myself and turned to her, ”Do you want to wait outside?”

Mara shivered and hugged herself before sucking in a deep breath and breathing out.

I was worried that her taking that deep breath would cause her to sink even further into the effects of the pheromones but surprisingly, her face changed and she relaxed herself.

”My apologies Captain, I had let my guard down. I’m fine now.”

Err… I’m assuming that she made use of her Psionic powers to ’cleanse’ herself of the effects? I don’t even know how that works but ok…

No wait… Wouldn’t that kind of give away the fact that she was a Psionic?

Or maybe… There’s other kinds of cyware or gene mods that allow people to do that?

Seeing that the lion guy didn’t even seem surprised by the sudden change in Mara’s demeanor, I’m going to guess that this ability isn’t limited to Psionics…

Mara then looked at me, ”What about you, Captain? Are you alright?”

I looked down at myself and tried to focus on my thoughts to see if there were any changes but…

”Seems like I’m fine? Maybe because… Err… Maybe because my biology is a little different?” I guessed, subtly suggesting that it might be because of the fact that I came from another Universe that I didn’t get affected.

Mara’s eyes narrowed slightly before shaking her head surreptitiously at me, indicating that she doesn’t actually think that that might keep me unaffected.

Then maybe… There’s some other reason?

Waiiiiit… There was that ’Super Immune’ trait that I picked or something wasn’t there? Maybe that was the reason why I wasn’t affected?

I don’t really know since I remember being mad about the flavour text simply saying that I was super immune but not to what so it could just be another trait or another reason why I was not affected by this guy’s pheromones.

Or maybe… It’s just because it hasn’t had time to affect me yet…

Either way, I don’t want to stay here longer than I need to so I turned my attention back to the lion guy, ”Are you done yet?”

He tapped on the holographic keyboard, ”Just a moment… Right. I need you to sign here.”

Hasani tapped on the table and the screen popped up in front of me showing me a section where it asked for my signature.

I hesitated since I wasn’t willing to put my name there and leave traces for them to find me in case they want to look for Mara seeing that this place was owned by her family after all.

I looked back at the lion guy, ”Will my initials do?”

He got the wrong idea as to the reason why I wasn’t signing it as he sighed, ”Don’t even have a proper signature huh? Not surprising. Yeah, sure. Just do that.”

I wasn’t going to correct him on that so I just put my initials on the screen before confirming it and sending the screen back to him.

He didn’t even look at it before he scrolled past it and started typing some other things and hitting one last key with a hint of finality.

”Now… Do you have a Credit Chip?” He asked.

I’m assuming that he wants one to transfer the Credits to me but…

”Ah… No, I don’t have any on me right now.”

He looked annoyed, ”Were you expecting me to transfer it into a Credit Chip myself to pass the money to you instead?”

Err… Isn’t that the common sense here? That the person paying is the one that supplies the Credit Chip?

Whatever, I wasn’t going to try and argue with him since this was twenty one million Credits we were talking about.

I tapped on my wrist, ”You can just transfer it directly into my Co--- Ahem… My personal terminal.”

He narrowed his eyes at me, ”So that you can try hacking into my personal terminal? No thanks. Get a Credit Chip here.”

Sheesh, so demanding… Fine, fine, I’ll go get one…
