What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

I looked at the bottles in front of me.

”Weird.”

”Definitely weird, nyaa...”

”But it’s Tera so…”

”Yeah… Boss is special…”

”Agreed.”

”But do we know why?”

”Because it’s Mistress, of course.”

”I guess that works.”

The girls were whispering amongst themselves beside me but I was too caught up in how ridiculous this situation was to pay attention right now.

In front of me were several bottles of the same sauce that were made using the same recipe and settings that were inputted into the machine.

The only difference between them was who operated the machine to create these bottles.

After tasting the ones I made earlier, I didn’t fully believe that the sauce coming out of the machine would be so different from the ones I hand made so I tried to do it again.

I removed the settings that Ries had put into the console and did it from scratch before I tapped on the button to start the process.

The result was… Exactly the same as my handmade one.

I then got Ries to go ahead and press the button to start the machine up without changing any parameters and… It turned out to be the inferior version once again.

Without changing anything again, I pressed the button to create another one and the end result was another perfect quality sauce.

Thinking that it might just be a fluke, I tried to create another one and that turned out to be perfect quality too. But when Ries tried to do it, it was the inferior quality one.

This doesn’t make sense… Even if the reason was me, why did the first one I try to make end up being the inferior quality type?

I then went ahead to drag the other girls here and we tested this out using various combinations which ended up with the result in front of me right now.

From what we have tested so far, apparently if I was the one who initiated the settings, everytime I press the button to create the sauce, it will turn out to be the perfect version.

But if anyone else were to press it, the inferior version will be created instead.

And if someone else were to enter the same settings, it would always be the inferior version even if I was the one to press the button to create it at the very end.

Yeah, it’s a pretty weird situation… And we have no idea why.

Or rather, I guess we kind of know that it’s related to me but it’s the why it even works like this that we don’t know.

”Obviously it’s because of Tera that it works like this right?” Amber pointed out.

Mara frowned slightly, ”But why?”

”Because it’s Mistress, naturally,” Lea answered without hesitation.

”Maybe it’s because Boss is from another Universe?” Ries suggested, though it looked like she was not even convinced of that explanation herself.

Mara turned to her, ”But why would this affect the machine itself? It’s doing the exact same thing as when we input the settings as well right?”

”Maybe… Erm… Maybe because Boss is from another World… The machines like Boss better and thus makes it better for Boss?”

Everyone just turned to look at Ries, including me.

Come on now, Ries… That’s just ridiculous… How could that even be--

”I guess that might be it.”

”I mean… It’s Tera after all.”

”Mmm… As expected of Mistress.”

No, no, no… Why are the three of you agreeing with her? There’s no way that’s possible right? How can the machine just work better because it ’likes’ me? That doesn’t make sense at all!

But right now… The only explanation that could make this make sense was the fact that I was from another universe…

The hand made stuff being good could be explained by the fact that I have experience making them and at least know how the good ones are supposed to taste like. Even the fact that the others could not replicate what I do could be explained away with the human factor.

But now we’re seeing the difference being present despite using a machine to make it… It has eliminated the human factor and thus was even more confusing that there was still a difference in quality despite that.

Why is this even happening?

Ugh, I don’t even know anymore… I’ll just accept it as fact and just move on.

The most important thing I’ve learned here is that I can actually make this using the automatic mixer without doing it manually so this means I might actually be able to do this with half the initially estimated time.

All I need to do is first make the sauce by hand first to check its quality, then put in the ingredients and recipe into the mixer and let it do its work by itself.

The only downside is that I still have to do this on my own since this only works if I was the one who inputs the settings and mixes it.

It still feels weird that this is happening though… But I guess it’s good that we kind of figured out the ’rules’ of this.

”Well… I guess we’ll just have to work with this for now,” I sighed, moving towards the counter. ”I’ll be able to take things from here so you girls can go back now.”

”Eh?”

Four surprised voices came from them, which made me turn back around to see what happened for them to let out such sounds.

”What’s wrong?” I asked.

”Ah… Ehehe… Umm… Nothing, Tera…” Amber muttered, hiding her face from view.

Mara chuckled, ”Fufu~ Everyone thought that you might be making some kind of snack for us since you called us to the kitchen. But now we know there isn’t any so it can’t be helped that we are a little surprised~”

Ah…

Most of the time if I call them to the kitchen, I would make them act as my taste testers or just to give them some snacks to enjoy.

But since this time I was just testing out the functionalities of the mixer, I don’t have anything to let them taste and I doubt drinking the sauce was something they wanted…

Actually, if I were to suggest that, they might actually do it so I better not…

Since they did help me with this, I guess I can repay them by making something quickly… But what should I make though?

Hmm… I guess I can take a look at the fridge to see what’s in there…

I opened up the doors of the fridge and peeked inside it, trying to see if there were any leftovers that I could heat up for them to enjoy.

Oh, I still have those cookies from before so I guess I can just heat this up and let them have them.

I don’t really want to keep this for too long as well since it would go stale so we might as well just finish this up right now.

I pulled the plate of cookies from the fridge and grinned at the girls, ”There’s still some cookies that I made the last time. Do you want them?”

The girls’ eyes immediately lit up.

”Yes, please!!”

I chuckled, ”Give me a moment then, I’ll just go heat this up in the stove and then we can take a break and enjoy this together.”

I brought the plate of cookies to the oven and placed it inside it before shutting the door. Then with a press of a button and a short flash later, I pulled open the door and there it was, steaming hot cookies.

This is why I love the future.

I pulled out the plate and brought it to the counter where all of the girls were gathered around and waiting for me with anticipation clear on their faces.

Their gaze followed the plate as I placed it on the table and they waited patiently for me to grab a piece before they made a rush to grab one for themselves.

All of us bit into our cookies and four moans echoed around the kitchen.

Mmm~ Even though these aren’t freshly baked, heating up in the oven made it taste almost just as fresh as if it was freshly baked.

This is nice~ Maybe I should get some tea as well to accompany the cookies.

As if reading my mind, Lea spoke up, ”Should we have something to go with the cookies, Mistress?”

I nodded, ”Yeah, could you prepare some--”

”Oh I know the perfect thing to accompany these cookies!” Amber interrupted before shifting her gaze to me.

”I think some honey would go perfectly with these cookies~ So maybe… Tera could help us supply some so we can enjoy it?”

Lea nodded, ”We can use it for some tea as well, Mistress.”

The girls’ eyes lit up and they started advancing towards me, a predatory look in their eyes.

Really girls? Oh whatever, come on then.
