What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

I tried to call the girls using my Codex but none of them picked up.

I ended up just sending a message to them before moving on since I was in a rush here.

The stairs to move from the fifth floor to the fourth floor were located somewhere else so it took me a while to find them.

I finally realised that they had blocked off the stairs with some furniture as a makeshift barricade so I had to move them away before I could continue.

That took some time to complete and by the time I was done, I could hear gunshots and explosions coming from the floors below.

Judging by how intense it was, I think it was a relatively big raid… Just my luck to be caught up in this…

While I was moving towards the fourth floor, I heard the sounds of a flurry of activity as whom I assumed to be the thugs of this gangwere rushing to secure defensive positions to defend themselves against the raid.

As I descended the stairs, I realised that it was longer than normal and it seemed like there was no fourth floor at all.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, the reason for this design was made apparent as I realised this floor housed machinery, revealing this building to be a factory of sorts.

I bet the rooms upstairs were mainly meant for the workers working in this factory to live in before it got abandoned by the former owners and taken over by this gang.

I couldn’t tell what this place was supposed to be manufacturing since they don’t look like anything that I was familiar with even though they actually look rather rudimentary with the conveyor belts, chains and big, bulky machines.

On this floor in particular, there were quite a number of thugs who had fortified this floor where a bald, muscular and large sized man was barking orders from the back.

”Get those turrets set up! Send another group down to support them and find out why the fuck they haven’t been dealt with yet! Everyone else focus on fortifying this area!”

All of them were watching the large door at the end of the floor which was half the size of the wall.

I’m guessing this bald guy is the boss of this place?

At this point, I’ve still yet to find any indication whether this gang was actually affiliated with the Rattlers or maybe they are just another gang entirely.

I looked around the floor, trying to see if there was another way out of here without me having to blast through this group of thugs.

Unfortunately for me, this floor also had no windows and I’m starting to believe this entire building was built with absolutely no windows at all.

While I was searching around, one of the thugs suddenly turned around and pointed at me, ”Hey?! Who’s that?!”

Ah fuck.

I levelled my machine gun and fired in the direction of the guy who spotted me, blowing his entire head off and also peppering the two people that were beside him with bullet holes.

There was a shout of alarm and I tried to swing my aim towards the leader, trying to take him out as well.

Unfortunately, he had a shield on him and that protected him from being blasted.

He quickly ducked underneath one of the machines and took cover from my hail of bullets.

Since the place I was at had no cover, I had to rush towards the nearest machine while laying down fire at the crowd of thugs in front of me.

I managed to mow down a few more of them but the rest scattered and dove for cover to hide from my machine gun fire.

The moment I managed to get into cover, I lowered my machine gun and pulled a grenade off my vest, activating it to toss it over the machine.

Before the first one even activated, I took out a second one and tossed it in a different angle than the first one before going for the third grenade.

As I prepped the third grenade, the first one exploded somewhere behind my machine, the explosion sending debris and body parts flying through the air.

I threw the third grenade and chose to keep the fourth one as a backup instead of using it.

Hefting my machine gun again, I stepped out from the cover just as the second grenade went off, blowing up a section of the factory on my right.

There were a few of them splayed out on the floor, having been thrown on the ground because of the explosion.

I went ahead to mow all of them down with a burst of my machine gun, finishing them off.

A few shots came from the side and my shield flared to life to protect me from those shots.

I immediately swivelled myself to adjust my aim in that direction, spraying the machine gun in that general area.

The people who had been firing at me took cover but I managed to kill two of them who were too slow to take cover.

”What the fuck?! How did someone get past our defenses?! Kill her!! Fucking kill her!” The leader shouted.

I decided to take a risk and pulled out the last grenade and activated it, throwing it in the direction of where the boss was.

Several bullets hit my shield, prompting me to look for cover again.

My grenade went off but I couldn’t check whether I managed to get the boss as I had to focus on getting into cover. I did see the explosion causing one of the machines to topple over and crash down on top of where the boss had been.

Right as I hid behind a piece of machinery, something bounced on the ground in front of me and my instincts screamed at me to get away from it before I could even register what it was.

Trusting my instincts, I tried to dive to the other side of the machine right as the object exploded, my shield materialising to protect me from the shrapnels but the shockwave flinging me away.

I tucked myself into a ball and rolled back onto my feet, forcing myself to lift up my machine gun right as a thug was charging towards me with two knives in his hands.

I fired a few shots at him but he was protected by a personal shield and he didn’t even flinch as the bullets ricochet off his shield.

Seeing that I didn’t have enough time to try and break his shield, I quickly reached for my own knife and pulled it out just as he tried to slash his blade at me.

Both of our knives clashed in the middle, the thug smirking at me as he pressed his weight down on my blade.

He then lifted his other hand in preparation to stab me with his other knife but paused when he felt something press against his abdomen.

Looking down, he realised that I was still holding on to my light machine gun with my other hand and the gun barrel was now right in front of his stomach.

I didn’t even give him a chance to plead for his life as I pulled the trigger, the recoil for the gun kicking my aim upwards which ended up almost shredding the poor thug’s body in half from the hail of bullets.

A few other thugs turned from the corner and fired a few shots while charging at me, my shield protecting me from all of them while I went ahead to mow them down with my machine gun.

Two more tried to sneak up from me from behind but never expected me to spin around to face them as I stabbed one in the neck with my knife while peppering the other one full of bullet holes with my machine gun.

Just as I was going to pop out from the cover to fire into the rest of the thugs, there was a loud crash as someone jumped out from the pile of machines that were destroyed by my earlier grenade.

He landed on top of the scrap and I realised it was the leader wielding what looked like a power sledgehammer and looking none the worse for wear.

”You biiiiiitch!! I’m going to kill you!!!” He roared.

He swung his sledgehammer and smashed it into the ground, creating an electrical shockwave to explode outwards from the impact and sending the debris closest to him flying in all directions.

That blow ended up doing more harm than good as most of the debris that were sent flying ended up crushing the other thugs or blowing them away.

One particular debris flew towards me but I was far enough that I had enough time to side step it to avoid it.

The other surviving thugs scrambled away for cover and by how fast they reacted, I have a feeling this isn’t the first time this has happened.

The boss then locked eyes on me and pointed his stubby finger at me, ”You! You fucking bitch! I’m going to kill you and then rape your fucking corpse! Then I’m going to smash your body to bits and then drink your remains for dinner!!”

What the fuck? That’s disgusting…
