Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1186: Visiting The Cheeky Ladies

As the feast continued in a great festive mood, Kaelira’s voice sounded uncertain. ”My Lord... may I ask something?”

Quinlan gestured with a nod of his head. ”Go ahead.”

The muscly tomboy elf put her goblet down and said, ”I thought our aim was to bring Ignis and his wives to Miri Town. But we left them behind in the stronghold.”

Quinlan gave a second nod to the woman. ”That was the plan, you’re correct. We wanted to secure Ignis’s alliance and let his wives settle in Miri to strengthen the settlement with three experienced women’s presence. But the Fujimori’s attack changed that.”

He leaned back, noting how a lot of ears perked, listening in. Even the maids took a little longer to leave the room while near the table, hoping to hear his words. ”Our original goal was indeed to achieve what you said, but the appearance of the Fujimori derailed our plan. Instead of leaving with the four of them in tow, we joined the defense effort. Then, once it was over, that old guy arrived. With Maelstrom there, it would’ve been foolish to make any moves that could draw even more hostility from the man who’s already not fond of me. I’d rather not hand him a reason to make trouble for us.”

He paused, then added, ”We’ll bring Ignis over soon. I just want the scene to cool off first.”

Kaelira’s shoulders relaxed, visibly happy with the answer she got. ”Understood. Thank you, my Lord.”

Ayame adjusted her cup in her hands. ”Even though getting Ignis was my idea, I can’t say I’m disappointed. Not one bit. We gained far more out of this trip than I expected.”

Kaelira chuckled, fully in agreement. ”Lord Quinlan’s becoming quite the celebrity.”

Ayame’s lips tilted into a smile. ”Indeed. And we also became stronger, our fame grew as a group, and we even learned more about the Kaede mystery. Though only a bit.”

With that, the feast soon began to wind down. Servants cleared the dishes while laughter and quiet talk filled the hall.

To Quinlan’s amusement, many of the ladies didn’t retire right away. Instead, they gathered in small groups near the courtyard to discuss formations, spell timing, and how they could’ve coordinated better. Others drifted off toward their rooms, clearly ready to collapse into bed. A few of them left to do something else, pursue another interest of theirs.

Rosie, of course, stayed with her father.

The dryad girl hummed softly beneath her breath as she dangled her legs over Quinlan’s head. Her small body was cutely bouncing with every step he took.

Each little hum of hers was off-key but sweet, the kind that made it impossible not to smile. Her leafy hair brushed against his forehead when she leaned forward, her eyes wide and expectant as she looked into his.

”Did Daddy enjoy the food Rosie made?”

Her entire body seemed to glow with excitement, as if every bit of joy she felt had to find its way out of her little frame somehow. Quinlan felt her happiness ripple through him; it was warm and contagious.

He never would’ve expected that jerking off on a tree would present him with such a precious daughter.

”I did. It was delicious. I’ve eaten meals prepared by some very talented cooks before, but knowing my daughter helped with this one made it the best yet.”

Rosie’s face lit up like a lantern. She threw her arms into the air and her little fists balled up in triumph. ”Yay! Rosie’s so happy!”

Quinlan smiled at that. Of course, he knew she hadn’t exactly helped in the traditional sense. The maids had probably spent half the afternoon keeping her from spilling flour or poking at the dough. A dryad girl didn’t even need food the way humans did; her nourishment came from the connection to her tree.

But none of that mattered to him.

He wasn’t lying when he praised her.

His maids weren’t just workers; they were women he had saved or taken in from harsh lives. They had become part of his household in truth, not just in title. The thought of his own daughter bustling around the kitchen with them, chattering and trying her best to ”help,” warmed him more than the meal itself ever could.

As they walked through the mansion’s halls, Rosie kept humming, giggling between verses, kicking her legs in pure joy. Her laughter bounced off the walls, bright and carefree. Quinlan reached up once to steady her when she leaned too far forward, but she only laughed harder and patted his head as if he were a good horse she was satisfied with.

Eventually, he stopped before a door, marking Felicity’s room. From inside, his acute primordial senses picked up two familiar voices. Felicity’s clear, proper tone mixed with Feng’s sharper, cheekier one.

The two were getting along well enough, though their conversation carried the occasional bite of pride from both sides.

Quinlan knocked lightly. ”Mind if I come in?”

The voices stopped at once. A heartbeat later, hurried steps approached. The door slammed open, revealing Felicity’s surprised face.

”Lord... Quinlan?” It seemed she had finally learned his real name, no longer calling him Lord Black. Indeed, with what he had done at the skirmish with the Fujimori, he did not doubt the King and the others would soon learn his true identity.

However, he didn’t mind it too much. As explained before, he was not ashamed of being associated with the Vesper Consortium, and more importantly, the name Quinlan has been barely used. He always wielded an alias of sorts; thus, even if the King learned his name was Quinlan, he couldn’t do much with it. It wasn’t like he could kidnap his mothers or something.

The royal princess quickly got over the surprise of his unexpected visit. She smiled brightly, happy to see him. ”I... Of course, please come in.”

Quinlan stepped through the doorway and was immediately hit by the scent of fresh flowers lingering in the air. They provided a pleasant touch, clearly not native to his estate but one of the many comforts his women must have fetched for their royal guest.

Feng sat cross-legged at the edge of Felicity’s bed with a grin playing on her lips. ”Someone’s invading the rooms of teenage girls at night, I see,” she teased. The sparkle in her eyes showed that she’d been waiting to throw a jab at the arrogant guy ever since she heard the knock on the door.

”Jiai!!!” Felicity nearly fainted. ”Lord Quinlan invaded no one’s room! I invited him in! How dare you?!”

”Yeah, yeah~”

”Hmph!”

Quinlan ignored the arrogant brat’s nonsense, deciding to deal with the cheeky creature later.

Instead of acknowledging her words, his gaze swept the room.

It wasn’t quite a royal suite, but it came close. Candles shone warm against the gold accents of the mirror and the carved dresser nearby.

A small vanity had been added recently - he could tell by the mismatched color of its frame - along with a few delicate perfumes and trinkets that definitely hadn’t belonged to the house before. A stack of books rested near the window, beside a vase filled with freshly cut flowers.

The effort was obvious. His women had gone out of their way to make the technically captured princess comfortable, likely raiding boutiques and corner shops until they found what they thought she would appreciate.

It worked.

Though it would be amiss not to note that while the princess was technically their prisoner, the girl herself decided to end up in this position. Quinlan had done nothing to kidnap the girl.

Nevertheless, everything seemed to have worked out well, including the attempts of his girls to make the royal princess enjoy her stay.

Felicity looked radiant, relaxed in a way that seemed impossible for someone technically under house arrest. Her purple hair was loose for once, cascading down her shoulders instead of being pinned up. She even wore a light dress of soft blue silk, one that clearly hadn’t come from her usual wardrobe of stiff royal formality.

Yes, the girl was having the time of her life here. She seemed to treat it as if it were the first vacation of her life.

”Please, sit,” Felicity asked while gesturing toward a cushioned chair near the writing desk. She perched delicately on the bed beside Feng.
