Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1152: Who Dares?!

Sel’Ashra’s laughter scraped his skull raw, reading his thoughts perfectly. ”Still clinging to your little savior? Poor little primordial. Lilyanna is far too kind a youngster. She knows your soul cannot take being invaded by two goddesses at once; you would die. You barely managed to recover the last time, didn’t you?”

Her words sank like hooks, pulling him deeper into despair. He remembers how it took many days of sleep to recover from the last attempt. He thought he was good now, but did his injuries not mend properly?

He heard his girls shout in his mind one after the other, panicked. But he could not answer them. Even his control over [Master’s Link] seemed to have been corrupted.

His breath shuddered as anger began rising through his mind. What a terrible joke this one was. Due to the whim of a corrupt goddess who kept on invading his mind and a cursed seed that rebelled against him, he was suddenly on the ground.

He never wanted any of this damned goddess and concept seed business!

He just wanted to be left alone as he rose in power in the world of Thalorind.

The pace of his life felt like it was messed up. Instead of facing the big bads at the end, once he was powerful enough, he was forced to deal with them way ahead of schedule!

But then...

A small spark lit up.

Mimi’s tiny blue form suddenly flared with violent light, blinding in its purity. The corrupted darkness recoiled for just a second.

”Hm?” Sel’Ashra’s voice paused, curious.

Mimi’s little tree shuddered violently. Its branches rattled, leaves shaking as if they were about to fall. And then, one did. A single blue leaf floated downward in slow motion, glowing brighter and brighter.

The instant it touched the soil, a new tree shot up from it in a heartbeat.

It was nothing like Mimi’s trembling sapling. This one was tall, radiant, fairy-tale green.

From within its trunk, a figure stepped out. Bare feet touched the soil with a ripple of warmth. A dryad girl with flowing hair and eyes that glimmered like summer leaves.

Rosie.

Her little hands were balled into fists, her small chin lifted in outrage.

”Who dares...” she stomped a bare foot, ”... hurt my father?!”

Her childish voice rang across the realm as if it were a commandment.

She whirled around, but her gaze found no shadow, no intruder in physical form. Sel’Ashra wasn’t here in flesh.

Rosie’s sharp eyes narrowed. She turned instead toward Mimi.

The little spirit had stopped glowing so brightly. Her small figure quivered under her corrupted tree, which came to be like this due to the black divine seed spreading veins of darkness down into the roots, poisoning the soil of Quinlan’s entire soul-realm.

Rosie walked over. She crouched and wrapped Mimi in a warm hug, pressing the timid blue girl into her chest.

”It’s okay,” Rosie whispered, soft but firm. ”You’re a strong girl, Mimi. You just don’t know it yet. You need to stand tall so nasty people can’t hurt you or the Scary Uncle!”

”B-but how, big sis Rosie?!” Mimi whimpered.

Rosie pulled back just enough to smile at her tenderly, brushing away a tear with her thumb. ”We do it together.”

She gestured at the glowing fairy-tale tree behind her. ”My real tree is back home. I just planted a little trick to ensure I could hop over if you got in trouble. But here... this is your place, Mimi. You’re the guardian of this realm. So we’ll use your tree.”

Mimi blinked up at her. ”M-me? But I’m too weak...”

Rosie shook her head and gave a mock stern frown, hands on her hips. ”Nope! Wrong answer. You’re not weak, you’re just too quiet! Put more voice into it!”

Mimi sniffled, then bit her lip. Just like Quinlan, just like Serika, just like the Lysandra of old, she hated being useless. It was inherently against her nature.

To that end, she straightened her little spine, puffed out her cheeks, and clenched her fists.

”I... I will banish the nasty woman and return order!” she squeaked.

Rosie leaned in with an approving grin. ”Louder.”

Mimi’s cheeks burned red. Her tiny body trembled... but she shouted this time.

”I will banish the nasty woman!!”

Her voice rang like a bell, and for the first time, the corruption on her tree froze.

Rosie reached out and clasped Mimi’s trembling little hand in hers.

”Together,” she said simply.

Mimi squeezed back, still shaking, but not letting go.

The fairy-tale tree behind Rosie began to shimmer, shedding radiant motes of green light. Slowly, its glow dimmed as its essence poured outward, seeping into Mimi’s corrupted tree. The green glow wrapped around the black veins in the form of a protective cocoon.

Rosie’s presence flickered as the fairy-tale tree grew paler, feeding fuel into Mimi’s struggling sapling. ”Steady now...” Rosie murmured. ”Focus, Mimi. Hold it together. You’re more capable than you think. I ensured it would be so.”

Quinlan’s daughter was so focused that she even forgot to speak in her cutesy manner.

Due to their combined effort, the corruption seed pulsed violently, writhing at being confronted. Its dark tendrils lashed out, stabbing deeper into the roots, but the combined light of both girls forced them back inch by inch.

”B-be banished! Leave us alone!” Mimi cried out. Her voice was strained but defiant.

The corruption seed convulsed, collapsing inward as if suffocated by the purity wrapping it tight. The soul realm shook with the effort, until finally...

The black seed was sealed. Its malignant essence was contained, silenced beneath layers of green light.

And with it... Sel’Ashra’s laughter faded.

Her voice lingered, oddly composed. Almost... entertained.

”Well, now. Quite the development, little primordial. Full of surprises, aren’t you?” A soft chuckle slithered through. ”But don’t fret. I’ll be back.”

Then, she was gone.

Mimi slumped forward instantly, unconscious, drained of every ounce of strength. Her little form tumbled, but Rosie caught her before she hit the ground.

The dryad girl, now almost translucent, barely solid, carried her gently to the base of her small blue tree. She tucked Mimi beneath the leaves like a mother bird, patting her head softly. ”Job well done, little sister,” Rosie whispered with a smile.

’... I am thoroughly confused,’ Quinlan muttered aloud, still collapsed in the dirt back in the battlefield.

Rosie giggled. Her voice was bright and mischievous. ”Rosie might not have told Daddy everything... Tehe~”

He groaned, pushing himself upright despite the blood loss and the exhaustion. ’We are going to have a very long conversation when I get home, little miss. No more hiding things from me. You’re alright, though, correct?’

Rosie’s fading outline softened into a tender smile at his worry. ”Mhm! Don’t worry. This is just a little trick. Rosie left it with Mimi when she created the girl in case something like this happened.”

Her giggle turned bright again. ”Rosie’s real self is busy right now, massaging Auntie Yoruha’s belly. She’s so fluffy and cute!”

’... Don’t torment your auntie, you little miscreant,’ Quinlan grumbled under his breath, forcing his legs beneath him. ’Also, if you think I didn’t notice you speaking in first person and in a grown-up, dependable manner, then you’re sorely mistaken.’

”!!!! Rosie would never!!!! Daddy should clean his ears! They seem to be full of wax!”

Quinlan ignored his daughter’s panicked shouts, which faded in the next moment.

His saber steadied in his grip as he glared at the battlefield ahead.

He had a war to conduct. Worrying about the soul realm, concept seed, and nasty goddesses would have to come later.
