Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1106: Rip the Bandaid Off

The march back toward the mansion was quiet, at least that was the case until Kitsara’s voice came through the mental link.

Seraphiel chimed in right away.

Quinlan understood very well why the girls were moving so quickly to block that particular encounter from happening.

The story, as Vex had told him, was simple but carried centuries of venom. Black Fang and Yoruha had once struck a deal, where Yoruha would cloak the human woman’s home in powerful illusions, keeping it hidden from her enemies and other annoying nuisances. But as the decades rolled on, the wards slowly faded.

When Black Fang returned to demand a renewal, she found the foxkin doing what she did best: sleeping.

Young, much more fiery and reckless than in the current day, and unwilling to be ignored, Black Fang forced her way inside. She attacked and beat Yoruha’s ladyservant, Celeste, in a violent skirmish before storming deeper into the den. But the foxkin was no gentle hermit. Yoruha woke, crushed the arrogant intruder, and sent her limping away.

To the young Black Fang, the beating was more than defeat. It was humiliation, a scar she could never wash away. Yet it also became her fuel. From that day, she swore vengeance. Every ounce of her frighteningly swift and infamously renowned rise in power carried that promise in its shadow.

Revenge against the foxkin was one of her main driving forces, though seeing the animosity Black Fang held toward Morgana, Quiinlan reasoned that vengeance against Yoruha was not the only thing that propelled her forward.

Since then, Black Fang had hunted Yoruha across nations, many times stepping into Beastman Confederation lands. Never forgetting, never letting go.

And Yoruha? She simply avoided her, weaving illusions and vanishing whenever the woman drew close. The foxkin had no interest in her, no care for grudges. She just wanted to be left alone.

Now, with both women under his roof, Quinlan saw the danger clearly. If Black Fang found Yoruha here, the clash wouldn’t end in a mere scuffle, for the woman might’ve grown wiser and less combative, but according to Yoruha, she had not given up on finding her. As such, it would likely end in blood, perhaps one of their lives, and most probably the destruction of his home.

Quinlan thought grimly.

Vex brooded.

Kitsara was more than happy to introduce Vex to reality.

Vex’s red yandere eyes flared.

Seraphiel chimed in, audibly amused by how easy Kitsara could get under Vex’s skin. She didn’t even have to call her a wrinkly hag to do so.

Vex grinned as her eyes returned to normal.

Vex slowed her steps. Her crimson eyes softened, and in a voice that was deceptively calm, she echoed Black Fang’s very words from earlier.

”I will not cause problems.”

The venomous woman’s gait didn’t falter, but her disciple’s question followed right after.

”Did you mean it, Master?”

Black Fang halted mid-step. For a long second, she turned her head just enough for her sharp violet gaze to pin Vex. There was no answer, only scrutiny, dissecting her own disciple without a word. Then she resumed walking, silent as ever. Ṝ𝓪Ŋọ฿Ёś

But Vex was undeterred. ”You’re a woman of your word, aren’t you? You might be many things—cold, terrifying, insufferably stubborn—but a liar? That, you’ve never been.”

Black Fang stopped again. Slowly this time, her chin tilted back, and her voice slid out in that razor-flat tone of hers. ”What do you want?”

Quinlan blinked at what his eyes observed next. He had seen many sides of Vex: wild, obsessive, vengeful, a woman brimming with love, but what she put on now was... surreal.

She tilted her head, clasped her hands together behind her back, and flashed up the most innocent, doe-eyed expression he’d ever seen from her.

”Master...” she sang sweetly, ”I forgot to tell you something in the reports I delivered to you throughout the months.”

A violent shimmer crossed Black Fang’s eyes.

She looked incredibly dangerous. A predator’s violet gleam that promised bloodshed if she smelled a game being played.

”They were pure accidents, of course!” Vex added quickly, blinking innocently like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

”The thing I forgot to mention... is... that...”

She was enjoying this moment far too much.

Slowly, the mask cracked.

”The mythical Nine-Tailed Fox, Master of Illusions, Yoruha, resides in the home you promised not to cause problems in.”

That innocent facade of hers melted away in full, and her grin curved incredibly sharply.

”Will you break a promise you swore, master?”

Black Fang froze.

The moment Vex uttered the name Yoruha, the air itself seemed to curdle. Her violet eyes, already dangerous, deepened into something primal; an abyss of hate and memory. Yet instead of glaring at her disciple, instead of letting fury consume her expression, Black Fang’s focus shifted outward.

Her gaze swept the treeline. The stones beneath her boots. The faint currents of mana drifting through Quinlan’s territory. Every flicker of her attention was sharp and exact, a hunter locked onto the scent of prey.

Then her lips began moving.

”[Eyes of the Fang].”

At once, her violet irises ignited with a searing, blinding radiance. It wasn’t light for the sake of illumination, but to mesmerize, to peel back truth from lies, to pierce through every layer of shadow or deception.

Quinlan felt the shift instantly. This wasn’t mere observation anymore. Black Fang’s will reached outward, rending through falsehoods, unraveling illusions, stripping reality bare in her relentless search for the fox she had unfinished business with.

Before anyone could move to stop her, Black Fang blurred. From one moment to the next, she disappeared.

The only proof she had ever stood there was the thrum of her lingering, oppressive mana. It was humming with the promise of bloodshed.

Vex’s sharp grin lingered, but even she couldn’t hide the goosebumps prickling her arms.

Be that as it may, the fox was already out of the bag. Knowing exactly which direction Black Fang must be headed, they followed after.
