The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Little Taotie blinked: ”I feel like you’re saying something, but then it seems like you’re not saying anything.”

The peach tree laughed: ”You can’t understand it now, but when it’s time, you will. Whatever you can understand, that is what it is.”

Little Taotie furrowed her eyebrows, sat down where she stood, leaned against the old peach tree, and reached out to pick up a fallen peach from the ground: ”If the destiny of a fallen peach is to become fertilizer, then I’ve changed this peach’s destiny.”

The peach tree laughed: ”Yes, a peach’s fate seems just like that, and if it hasn’t grown firmly, it falls from the tree and becomes nutrients for other peaches. But there are always exceptions. Just like human destiny isn’t spotless or unchangeable; some leap off their paths.”

”Grandfather Peach Tree, am I this peach?”

”Why would you say that?”

”Isn’t that what you meant?” Little Taotie tilted her head, somewhat puzzled.

”What I said is for you to ponder. Maybe I didn’t mean that, but what you understand might be what you were meant to understand.”

”What you said is so profound, I’m a bit confused.”

”Being confused means it’s not time for you to understand yet.”

Little Taotie: ”...I see.”

She opened her mouth and took a bite; the peach wasn’t ripe yet, sour and astringent.

Peach Tree: ”...”

Little Taotie grinned widely: ”It escaped its original path, won’t turn into fertilizer, but might not have a good end. See, I ate it.”

The peach tree went silent, saying no more.

Little Taotie finished the sour peach, stuck out her tongue, which was somewhat numb.

Peach Tree: ”Even if it’s unpleasant, you eat it.”

Little Taotie giggled: ”I eat it even if it’s unpleasant, so it doesn’t go to waste. It’s better than having nothing to eat.”

Having experienced hunger, Little Taotie never wastes food.

Little Taotie burped: ”How strange, just a little peach, and I’m full? Before, I ate so many things and never felt full.”

”Once you’ve eaten enough, take a nap.”

”Grandfather Peach Tree, are you taking me into a dream within a dream, or sending me away?”

Peach Tree: ”Cannot tell, cannot say.”

Little Taotie yawned: ”I think it’s the dream within a dream.”

The leaves of the peach tree rustled: ”Whatever you say, that is what it is.”

Little Taotie opened her eyes again, lying on the large feather bed, still the same round and cuddly Little Beast Bai Bai.

Feng Qi jumped up and patted Little Beast Bai Bai with her big tail: ”Come on, let’s go to the Turquoise Pool and eat peaches!”

”Eat peaches?”

”No way, no way? You forgot?”

”What should I remember?”

”Have you really lost your memory? The Jade Pool Immortal Peaches have ripened, they only mature once every hundred years. If you miss it this time, you have to wait another hundred years to eat them! Come on, don’t dawdle!”

”Is it Grandfather Peach Tree’s peaches?”

”What are you muttering?”

”Nothing.”

”Quickly change into human form, we can’t go to Heaven like this.” Feng Qi transformed into a stunning maiden with red clothes and red hair.

Her identity when visiting Heaven is that of the visiting Princess of Qingqiu.

Little Taotie, with a shake, transformed into a cute little girl, about 6 years old.

Little Taotie sighed: ”Why am I still a child?”

”Haven’t you always been one? Little Taotie: ”...I see.”

She opened her mouth and took a bite; the peach wasn’t ripe yet, sour and astringent.

Peach Tree: ”...”

Little Taotie grinned widely: ”It escaped its original path, won’t turn into fertilizer, but might not have a good end. See, I ate it.”

The peach tree went silent, saying no more.
