The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Little Taotie heard the crying, pressed her lips together, wanting to comfort her, but didn’t know how to do it.

Little Taotie listened to her crying, until she was exhausted and fell asleep. Only then did Little Taotie close her eyes and fall asleep too.

Early the next morning, the two boys were also taken away by the local police.

Only the little girl remained without anyone coming to find her, and her mood grew more and more downcast.

Little Taotie lowered her eyes and made a decision.

She came to the little girl and said seriously, ”If no one comes to find you, come home with me. I’ll adopt you.”

Hua Jinyan frowned.

Lu Yuan hesitated to speak.

”You... adopt me?” the little girl whispered. ”But raising me costs a lot of money.”

Little Taotie patted her chest, ”I can earn money and take care of you.”

The little girl looked up, her eyes sparkling, but soon dimmed again. ”But... I’m a Broom Star.”

Little Taotie was stunned.

She used to hear those three words often.

Mountain Mama always scolded her like that.

For a very long time, she hadn’t heard those three words.

Little Taotie rolled her eyes, ”You’re a star from the sky.”

The little girl was puzzled, ”A star from the sky?”

”A Broom Star is also a star from the sky, like a shooting star. Both are very beautiful.”

”But... that’s not what they mean by Broom Star; they mean unlucky.”

”They don’t understand.”

”Is it really like that?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”You’re definitely a star from the sky!”

The little girl smiled, her smile radiant.

”Right here?”

The smile abruptly ended due to this familiar voice.

The little girl looked toward the door, where an old lady came into the inn under the police escort.

The old lady wasn’t the kind with kind eyes and a benevolent countenance, but one who was rather stern, thin and lean, with deep wrinkles between her brows.

”Seeing me, won’t you call me?” The elderly voice was quite severe upon seeing the girl.

The little girl initially shrunk in fear but soon rushed to the old lady’s side and hugged her leg tightly.

”She’s my granddaughter.” The old lady said to the police, ”You found the right person.”

The police asked the girl, ”Is this your grandmother?”

The girl secretly glanced at the stern face of the old lady and nodded obediently, ”Yes, my grandmother.”

”Let’s go to the police station for a registration, and then you can go home.”

The girl ran to Little Taotie’s side, gently held Little Taotie’s hand, and said with a soft voice, ”Big sister, I don’t need you to take care of me. My grandmother has money; she can take care of me.”

Little Taotie nodded, ”Your grandmother looks a little fierce.”

The girl nodded, ”She used to be a judge, so she’s very fierce, but only to bad people. Big sister, I’m leaving.”

The girl waved goodbye and left.

The police said a few words to Lu Yuan and left as well.

Little Taotie learned from Lu Yuan that the little girl’s parents had died in a car accident. Initially, the little girl was with her grandmother and grandfather, but she was beaten by her grandmother, which led her to run away from home and encounter kidnappers. Now being picked up by her grandmother, she will live with her grandmother in the future and not be sent back to the abusive grandmother.

Little Taotie was happy for the little girl but also felt a bit sad, mumbling, ”I was thinking of adopting a little sister like Big Brother.”

Lu Yuan chuckled and shook his head, ”Your Big Brother is an adult, a legal adopter, but you? You’re still a child yourself, wanting to follow your Big Brother and adopt a little sister.”

Little Taotie muttered sulkily, ”When I grow up, I can adopt one.”
