The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

”Don’t say such things. If I overthink it, I won’t know what to do when I see Huahua in the future!”

”Look at me.”

”Huh?”

”I said, look at me.”

Little Taotie looked at her seriously, eyes wide open. ”I’m looking!”

Xiao Lingzhi pointed at herself, ”Are we good friends?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”Of course!”

”So, are you closer with Hua Jinyan or with me?”

Little Taotie: ”...”

”Let’s change the question. Suppose Hua Jinyan and I fell into the sea and neither of us can swim, who would you save first?”

She didn’t expect to face such a heavy question at such a young age.

”Hurry up and answer me!”

”...I need to think about it.”

”You still need to think! If you and Hua Jinyan fell into the sea, I would definitely save you! The fact that you have to think means Hua Jinyan is more important than me!”

”No! Xiao Lingzhi, you and he are both very important friends to me...”

”Anyway, you have to give me an answer, who would you save first, me or him?”

”...Let me think a bit more.”

”If you can’t give me a satisfactory answer, I’m going to be mad!”

”...Don’t get mad, just let me think for a little bit more.”

”I’ll count to three, and if you don’t give me an answer, it means you want to save Hua Jinyan!”

”It’s not like that.”

”How is it not? You’re right in front of me, yet you can’t give an answer, that means you’re conflicted! Generally, you’d say you’d save whomever was in front of you, not hesitate, unless you originally wanted to save the other one!”

”Ah... you’re being a bit unreasonable and illogical, Xiao Lingzhi.” Little Taotie’s face showed frustration, with eyebrows knitted in distress and eyes full of grievance.

”I’m giving you a chance to make it up to me. I can choose not to be mad.”

”Hurry and tell me!” Little Taotie grabbed Xiao Lingzhi’s hand, a bit excited.

Xiao Lingzhi squinted her eyes, a cunning gleam flashing through them, and lowered her voice, ”There’s a big cake on the yacht. It’s lonely to cut it by myself. The aunty and uncle on board are Grandpa’s people. I don’t really know them. I want you to join me to cut the cake. Can you come to the yacht with me? Take lots of photos with me as a souvenir, it would make it up to me.”

Little Taotie hesitated, ”I... can’t leave this ship.”

”You can’t even fulfill such a small request! Obviously, Hua Jinyan is the most important in your heart!”

”It’s not that, it’s just... I’m actually on a mission, I can’t leave.”

”Just for a moment, then we can come back to the ship.”

Little Taotie was troubled, ”It’s really not possible.”

”If you don’t agree, I’ll jump into the sea!”

”Huh?” Little Taotie was stunned, ”You’re joking, right?”

Xiao Lingzhi was irritated, ”Do I look like I’m joking?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”Yes, you do.”

Xiao Lingzhi stood on the deck and shouted, ”I’m going to jump!”

Little Taotie glanced at the sea and whispered, ”Xiao Lingzhi, the water is really cold, let’s not play around.”

”Who’s playing? I’m really going to jump!”

”Well, you can swim, so do I not have to jump in to save you?”

”Do you have a heart at all!” Xiao Lingzhi yelled as if she were a petulant child, ”Anyway, you have to jump in to save me, only then will it show that I’m more important to you than Hua Jinyan.”

”Would you like me to help? Should I jump in so Little Taotie can choose who to save?” Hua Jinyan’s cool voice interrupted.

Xiao Lingzhi roared, ”Didn’t I tell you not to come and mess things up!”
