The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Hua Jinyan pursed his lips.

Little Taotie muttered, ”When I grow up, I don’t want to get married!”

Hua Jinyan: ”...Why?”

Little Taotie: ”Xiao Lingzhi says that after getting married, you have to take care of kids and do cooking and housework, leaving no happiness for yourself!”

”She’s talking nonsense.”

”But Xiao Lingzhi isn’t the only one who says that. Little Luoluo also says she doesn’t want to get married when she grows up! She says after marriage, there will be someone else controlling you—it’s so annoying! Her dad is always controlling her mom, and her mom even sneaks candy behind her dad’s back. It’s so pitiful!”

”Everyone is different. Maybe the person you meet won’t need you to take care of children, cook, do housework, or control you. As long as you’re happy, that would be his greatest joy.”

Little Taotie was skeptical, ”Can there really be such a great person?”

Hua Jinyan nodded, ”He would take care of the kids, cook, and do the housework with the help of machines. If you want candy, he’d buy all the best candy in the world and offer them to you.”

Little Taotie imagined this, her big eyes sparkling, ”Would he be taller and more handsome than the War God?”

Hua Jinyan pursed his lips, ”...Haven’t you never seen the War God’s face? How do you know he’s handsome?”

Little Taotie sat up straight with confidence, ”I just know! I just know that he’s really, really handsome! The most handsome male god in the world!”

Hua Jinyan: ”...I want to eat sweet and sour fish now.”

Little Taotie was successfully distracted, her eyes bright, ”I want to eat that too!”

Hua Jinyan: ”Once we get out of here, I’ll take you to eat it.”

”Yay! Hua Jinyan, you’re the best friend ever!”

Hua Jinyan: ”...”

...

The two came to the dormitory caretaker’s rest room, but didn’t find anyone.

After waiting a while, the caretaker came over with a plate of stir-fried pork liver and a bowl of peanuts.

”Hmm? You two kids are here again? Are you looking for me or the person from before?”

”Looking for you.” Little Taotie placed a large bag of twist bread on the table, pushing it toward him.

The caretaker raised an eyebrow, ”Bribing me?”

”No, it’s a meeting gift!” Little Taotie said in a childlike voice as she introduced herself, ”My name is Tao Ti, but you can call me Little Taotie, that’s what everyone calls me. Uncle, what’s your name?”

”My last name is Lu, like a Sika deer.”

”Hmm? Is there really a last name like that? So cute!”

Little Taotie blinked her big eyes, ”Can I call you Uncle Sika then?”

The caretaker shook his head with a smile and fed her a peanut, ”You’re being cheeky, I’m going to be unhappy.”

”Mmm! So fragrant!” Little Taotie said, eyes shining, opening her mouth wide, ”Ah, I want more!”

The caretaker helplessly fed her another one.

Little Taotie couldn’t take her eyes off the peanuts.

The caretaker laughed and handed her the whole plate, ”As a return gift, this is my meeting gift to you. Nice to meet you, Little Taotie.”

”Hehe, thank you, Uncle Bai Lu!”

”Hmm? Not Sika anymore?”

”Because your skin is fair, Bai Lu sounds nice.”

”Alright then.”

The caretaker smiled gently, surprised that the little girl had stumbled upon his old name.

His original surname was Bai and his given name was Lu.

Bai was his father’s surname and Lu was his mother’s surname.

After his parents divorced, he followed his mother’s surname Lu and changed his name to Lu Yuan.

Bai Lu, he hadn’t heard anyone call him that since he was ten.

”Uncle Bai Lu, look, we brought something nice!” Little Taotie whispered gleefully, presenting a down jacket to him like a treasure.
