The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Lu Yuan squinted and opened his down jacket, revealing a white bottle inside.

It was baijiu.

As he opened the jacket, the aroma of the liquor wafted out.

Lu Yuan closed the jacket, ready to put it back, but after glancing at the two little ones, he decisively retracted his hand and placed the jacket and liquor in the cabinet.

”Confiscated. Kids shouldn’t drink alcohol.”

Little Taotie pouted, ”I don’t drink it, it’s so nasty!”

Lu Yuan suspiciously stared at her, ”How do you know it’s nasty?”

Little Taotie quickly covered her mouth, her big eyes darting around.

”No wonder the smell spread as soon as I opened the jacket; the bottle was already uncapped. How much did you drink?”

Little Taotie sheepishly retreated, already backing up to the door.

Hua Jinyan frowned, ”Just dabbed a bit with my finger and licked it.”

Lu Yuan gave Hua Jinyan a deep look, ”Did you also drink?”

Little Taotie indignantly defended, ”No, Huahua didn’t drink. I was just greedy, and he let me taste it, just a lick.”

Lu Yuan gave Hua Jinyan a sidelong glance, ”Indulging her like this, is it really okay?”

Hua Jinyan pressed his lips, ”As long as she’s happy.”

Lu Yuan: ”...” What’s with being unknowingly fed a dose of dog food!!!

Lu Yuan cleared his throat, ”Alright, the gift has been received, you can go now, don’t disturb me while I’m eating.”

”Aren’t you going to drink?” Little Taotie’s big eyes blinked, ”Twisties with liquor, perfect match!”

Lu Yuan ate a piece of pig liver, calmly said, ”I’ve quit smoking and drinking.”

Little Taotie couldn’t believe it, ”Uncle, you don’t drink?”

”Why? Is it strange?”

”But all the grown-up uncles drink!” Little Taotie tilted her head, looking puzzled, ”They said if you don’t drink, you’re not a real man!”

She had once heard this during a program, where as a little boss of a restaurant, she hosted the uncles from the demolition site and learned it from them.

Lu Yuan’s mouth twitched, ”Liquor isn’t a good thing.”

Little Taotie couldn’t accept it and repeatedly questioned, ”Uncle, are you a real man? If you are, why don’t you drink—mmph mmph mmph!”

Little Taotie’s eyes were full of accusation, staring at Hua Jinyan, who was covering her mouth.

Hua Jinyan helplessly said, ”Let me explain.”

Little Taotie quieted down, her big eyes watching him, waiting for his performance.

Hua Jinyan stood in front of the uncle, calmly and slowly began, ”That Uncle Tie before, loved to drink and smoke. You probably knew him?”

”Hmm?” Lu Yuan appraised the little boy in front of him, not tall, but with a determined and deep look in his eyes.

”I saw the cigarette butts on the ground; are you commemorating him?”

Lu Yuan was a bit surprised, not expecting the boy to notice that.

”You say you’ve quit smoking and drinking, so those cigarette butts on the ground weren’t yours, only for commemorating him.”

”Yes.” Lu Yuan saw no need to deny it.

Hua Jinyan pointed to the down jacket, ”Uncle Tie loved to drink, you should toast him a glass.”

”Makes sense.”

Lu Yuan was starting to get it.

This kid was something else.

Lu Yuan poured a glass of liquor, spilling it by the window, ”Old Tie, who would’ve thought being a dorm manager would have someone remember you and bring you liquor. Doesn’t seem like your efforts were in vain.”

”Drinking alone is no fun, even if you’ve quit, this is a time to drink with him.” Hua Jinyan’s tone was steady.

”Kid, you’ve got some sense.”

Lu Yuan capped the liquor and shook his head, ”But this drink, I won’t have.”
