The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Lu Yuan’s nerves were exposed, and he could no longer maintain his composure. He pursued, ”Is he really still alive?”

The corpse found at the time was a headless body, but based on height and tattoos, it could basically be concluded that it was him.

But basically concluding doesn’t represent a hundred percent certainty.

As long as his head isn’t found, there’s always a certain probability he’s still alive.

Perhaps the killer found a body of similar height and build and tattooed it identically.

Maybe the killer was prepared to swap from the very beginning; otherwise, there was no need to go to the trouble of cutting off the head.

Lu Yuan’s eyes grew brighter and brighter. Although he hadn’t heard a definite answer from the Ghost Enforcer, after some speculation in his own mind, he began to expect it.

The Ghost Enforcer Uncle handed a watermelon to Little Taotie and gently replied, ”If someone hasn’t been taken by the Ghost Enforcers, there are three possibilities. One is that the person’s life wasn’t fully lived out and they died by means such as suicide, which the Underworld doesn’t accept. Two is that the person consumed too many soul bodies after death and became a Ghost King within seven days. It’s a small chance, but not impossible. Three is that the person didn’t die.”

Before Little Taotie could speak, Lu Yuan urgently spoke, ”He wouldn’t commit suicide! No matter the situation, he would never escape using such a cowardly method!”

The Ghost Enforcer Uncle shrugged, ”Then maybe it’s the latter two possibilities.”

Lu Yuan asked, ”To become a Ghost King within seven days, how many soul bodies need to be consumed specifically?”

”It depends on the situation of the soul bodies consumed. If those soul bodies had themselves swallowed many others, it helps in becoming a Ghost King. The exact number isn’t clear, and generally, it’s not a simple matter.”

”Consuming soul bodies... he shouldn’t do that.” Lu Yuan murmured in a low voice.

Little Taotie had more confidence in Uncle Tie than him, patting his chest, ”Uncle Tie wouldn’t eat his own kind!”

A soul body consuming a soul body is like a person eating a person, eating one’s own kind.

Although Little Taotie eating chocolate is somewhat similar to consuming soul bodies, the little girl felt it was different, as she ate only chocolate, and she’s human, not a Ghost, not eating her own kind.

Lu Yuan nodded, ”If he was in his right mind, he shouldn’t do such a thing as consuming soul bodies. After all, he knows a bit about soul body research. If he consumed an Evil Spirit, he would carry karmic debt and lose the chance to reincarnate by becoming a Ghost King. He wouldn’t do it.”

The Ghost Enforcer Uncle shrugged, ”Then only the third possibility remains, the person didn’t die.”

This was the answer Lu Yuan most wanted to hear.

”I will send people to investigate and will definitely get to the bottom of this.”

Lu Yuan’s expression grew solemn.

In fact, finding out whether that corpse is Old Tie is simple; just do a DNA test. However, due to Old Tie’s special identity during his life, he didn’t leave any DNA records in relevant departments. It was just in case, as some of the tasks involved undercover work, leaving DNA could expose him at any time.

Old Tie’s parents are no longer around. He had a younger sister before, but she disappeared twenty years ago.

Little Taotie saw him fall into deep thought, hesitating to speak, his small hand nervously clutching the hem of his clothes, his little face tangled, his mouth drooping, little eyebrows furrowed, eyes showing a faint grievance mixed with a hint of amusement.

The Ghost Enforcer Uncle found Little Taotie both pitiful and amusing as he was now.

”What’s wrong, what has made you so troubled?” The Ghost Enforcer Uncle smiled and said, ”Did someone bully you? But with your strength, if someone bullies you, just punch them and solve it. Why trouble yourself like this, as if you’ve eaten bitter herbs, about to turn into a bitter gourd face.”

Little Taotie pursed his lips, pouting, glancing at Lu Yuan with small eyes, lowering his eyelids, then raising them again to steal another glance...

Even Lu Yuan, lost in thought, noticed the little girl’s unusual behavior upon repeating this so many times.
