The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1237: Chapter 1237: The Blue Bird Portrait Will Spontaneously Combust

After a day of running around, the children would go home, take a bath, and fall asleep as soon as they hit the bed.

Some children were startled awake by nightmares, thinking of the driver’s death.

Others, with more carefree minds, had sweet dreams until dawn.

Some were a bit confused, wetting the bed at night but without much consequence.

Little Taotie woke up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth, and saw Little Braids keeping watch by her bedside. She rubbed her eyes and asked, ”Are you done with your work?”

Little Braids nodded: ”Lord Judge gave me a task, so I don’t have to do anything else for now.”

”What task?” Little Taotie asked curiously.

Little Braids giggled: ”To find that blue bird.”

”Originally, Lord Judge wanted me to draw it and then send many Ghost Enforcers to look for it together. But just as I finished drawing, the paper would self-ignite, so only I can go find it.”

Little Taotie was puzzled: ”Why does it self-ignite?”

Little Braids scratched her head: ”Lord Judge says the Blue Bird is very powerful, so it can’t be spied upon. Drawing it counts as a form of spying, and it naturally blocks all spying. So the paper with its drawing will self-ignite.”

”Is it really powerful?” Little Taotie pursed her lips.

She felt that the Blue Bird was coming for her. If the Blue Bird is very powerful, could she be in danger?

Just like in the dream, where the Blue Bird transformed into the Heir of the Marquis of Zhennan and killed Her Highness the Eldest Princess’s fiancés, what would this Blue Bird do upon arriving in this world?

Little Braids brought up the case of the Blue Bird murdering people. ”After questioning for a long time, it turned out the Blue Bird was the killer, and those three Ghosts were wrongly accused. The spirits were killed by the Blue Bird, so even in the Netherworld they were muddled and didn’t know who killed them. Fortunately, two drunks witnessed it, or else this incident would be hard to explain...”

Little Taotie quietly listened to Little Braids recounting the incident.

The Blue Bird can kill?

Just like in that dream world, in Her Royal Highness’s dream world, the Blue Bird could kill too.

It’s just that the Blue Bird in the dream was more powerful, even able to transform into a human form.

Could the Blue Bird in this world eventually gain the power it had in the dream world, and would it hurt people in human form?

”Sister, what are you thinking about?” Little Braids leaned closer. ”You look so worried, so troubled.”

”How big is the Blue Bird?” Little Taotie asked.

Little Braids gestured: ”About this big, not very big.”

Little Braids indicated a size similar to that of a magpie, indeed not very large.

”Will it gradually grow bigger after flying away?” Little Taotie asked again.

”Why are you so concerned about this bird? No, it’s just that big, flying farther and farther until it disappears into the depths of the clouds.”

”I see...” Little Taotie mused.

...

As daylight broke, Little Taotie got up to brush her teeth and wash her face, eating quite a bit in the morning.

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin exchanged a glance and sighed with relief.

The homeroom teacher had called them yesterday, expressing concern that the children might have nightmares or feel upset because of the driver’s death. If anything abnormal happens, they must inform the school so that a psychologist can be arranged for emotional counseling.

They felt that Little Taotie’s appetite was quite good, so she was likely not affected by the driver’s death yesterday.

On the way to school, Little Taotie whispered to Hua Jinyan about what Little Braids had told her the night before.

She thought that Hua Jinyan always managed to score first place in exams while she could only get second; he must be a bit smarter than her.

Discussing things with a smart person is sure to lead to a solution.
