The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1230: Chapter 1230: That Blue-Green Bird Again

Little Braids thought this mission couldn’t be simpler; he could complete it quickly, send the person back, and then come back to play with Sister Little Taotie.

However, the countdown suddenly started to erratically jump!

[00:00.04]

[00:00.05]...[00:00.10]

”How can this be!” Little Braids had just taken the job, completely clueless about what was happening.

Little Braids turned his head, looking confused and bewildered at Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan, his childish voice uncertain, ”Is... the notebook wrong? It seems like he doesn’t need to die yet.”

At this moment, above the driver’s head displayed: [01:00.00]

A person who clearly only had three seconds left suddenly had their time reversed, turning into an hour.

Time was still continuously jumping.

But in the end, it settled at [01:33.00]

Little Braids stood beside the driver for quite a while, his peripheral vision caught sight of a large tree outside the car window, with a bluish-green bird perched on it.

Little Braids had only been three years old at the time of his death, and even as a Ghost he was always trapped in the incense burner, mentally still a Little Cub. When he saw the pretty bird, he was immediately drawn in, staring at it for a good while.

Until the number above the driver’s head changed once again.

This time, instead of increasing, the time above the driver’s head decreased.

[01:32.00]

[01:31.59]

[01:31.58]...

Time was normally winding back, and Little Braids let out a breath of relief.

The bird in the tree spread its wings and flew away, his gaze followed it for a time, until it disappeared from sight.

Little Braids returned to the back seat, sitting next to Hua Jinyan, ”I don’t know what’s going on either. At first, there were only three seconds left for me to take the person away, but the time suddenly started changing, becoming an hour and thirty-three minutes without increasing. Now it’s decreasing normally, and I’ll be able to take him in an hour and thirty-one minutes.”

Hua Jinyan’s expression turned grim.

The journey to Dinosaur Paradise takes an hour and forty-five minutes.

Which means, if the driver dies, he will suddenly die mid-journey!

By then, everyone in the car will be in great danger!

Little Taotie also realized the seriousness of the situation and asked, ”Are you sure there are no other names from the car in that notebook?”

”No.” Little Braids flipped through it carefully.

Hua Jinyan and Little Taotie exchanged glances, both feeling something was too abnormal here, there must be something peculiar going on.

Little Taotie patiently asked, ”Have other Ghost Enforcers encountered such things? Did Lord Judge ever mention such incidents to you?”

Little Braids shook his head, ”I just started recently, so I don’t know many Ghost Enforcers, and Lord Judge never mentioned encountering such strange things.”

Hua Jinyan: ”Can you contact the Judge? Report the situation here to him.”

Little Braids felt troubled, ”Lord Judge is very busy; I might not be able to reach him.”

He took out a Token, a pass from the Netherworld, the identity card of a Ghost Enforcer, and also a means to contact higher-ups.

It’s not hard to use; it’s actually somewhat like a phone.

Little Braids pressed on the Token, held it by his ear, and awaited for the other to connect.

Little Braids put on a frustrated look, ”No one’s answering.”

Little Braids put away the Token, sighed, ”Lord Judge must be in the middle of a trial.”

Hua Jinyan asked, ”When you got close to the driver earlier, did you notice anything unusual?”

”Unusual?” Little Braids scratched his head, suddenly pointing outside the window at the big tree, ”There was a very pretty bird, its whole body was covered in bluish-green feathers, not a single stray feather in sight.”

”A bluish-green bird?” Little Taotie immediately became alert.

There was also a bluish-green bird in the dream about Her Highness the Eldest Princess!
