Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2596: Escalation

Initially, only one snake team activated the automatic control and retreated back into the dome.

But as soon as Sam arrived, the first thing he did was to tap on the remaining five snakes. Just a couple of clicks from the crystal table and all five snakes stopped moving. The teams within it disappeared and reappeared inside the dome, near Sam.

The snakes all went into automatic control. Or rather semi-automatic control to be precise. They are taking remote orders from Sam and are executing those orders by themselves.

And the first order is simple.

”Devour and Grow.”

All snakes gave out a rattling sound, yet they didn’t have rattles on their tails. The sound came from the crackling bones that made up their bodies. The same bodies that glowed with immense energy as they moved.

Energy blasts charged in all directions. But they were not as big or massive like before. They were precise, thin, small. Like bullets.

And they compensated the strength and potential for area level destruction with numbers.

The energy blasts kept on hitting like crazy.

One after the other the targets fell. Not dead, but rather they just couldn’t handle the onslaught of attacks. Some lost their arms, some lost their eyes, some got hit in the abdomen and some lost their legs.

Some unlucky fellows did get hit in the throat and died.

But no one had the chance to recover from those attacks. The snakes moved at an incredible speed and from their mouths and even the cracks between their bodies, they just absorbed all the injured and dead people.

Some people who were completely fine were also caught up in. They were sucked into the bodies.

The dark light was activated and they all felt the burn as they were slowly devoured and evaporated.

Their bones were absorbed and they were used to reinforce the bodies of the snakes. Spikes appeared on their already dense bodies.

The ghost faces appeared on the surface, shooting down the translucent energy beams. The attacks increased and so did the bodies.

The snakes grew stronger by minute as they just dove straight into the army.

Sam looked at the progression through the crystal table without a chance in his expression.

”Sam... this is too...”

One of Consummate stage cultivators who was at the initial stage, an old man at that spoke. This old man has long reached the peak of his potential but still has decent prestige because of his strength and old age.

He was left behind to take care of the kids, as one of the last lines of defense.

And he was shocked at the way Sam used the snakes.

”Please spare me the lecture.” Sam interrupted him without even looking at him.

”But...”

”I understand. Maybe you are worried the kids are watching this. Or maybe you think I am not following all the rules of honor of your land. Or maybe you just think I am a psychopath.

Let me just be straight with you.

This is war. A war declared one sidedly by the rest of the factions you trusted your backs to. You guys are the underdogs. And they are using the weapons they bought from me, to block your power houses. To make them helpless and kill them in cold blood.

These snakes, the dome and everything else we made are the weapons that would amplify your fighting force.

And you guys are stupidly using them without letting their actual power show.

Just how arrogant are you about your strength?”

The old man didn’t even get a chance to speak.

Sam just continued after a pause.

”I don’t have any qualms about using the cruellest methods to attack my enemies, reduce their forces and use that opportunity to increase mine at the same time.

I talked to Parth about it, he didn’t have any objections.

If you have any, take it up with him. I don’t have time to deal with your conscience.”

With that, Sam continued the onslaught.

The army outside scattered. Even with Shimmy’s orders passed through the consummate level cultivators are useless.

”Sir, there is no point. I would have to stop them and reorganize them by force at this point and even then, the existence of those snakes wouldn’t let them stay calm for long.”

Watcher conveyed his opinion to Shimmy.

Shimmy sighed in resignation.

”Indeed, a pig like teammate is worse than a tiger as an opponent.

These idiots can’t get their bearings together. Let me confirm a few things. I will get back to you.”

...

Five minutes later.

Shimmy got in touch with Watcher again.

”Its confirmed. Sam has entered the battle. He is the one controlling the snakes.”

There was a little bit of silence before he continued.

”What are they doing?”

”The snakes sir?”

”No, his friends.”

Watcher turned his gaze and looked at Sam’s friends. The Managers are yet to make a move at the moment. Because of Shimmy’s orders all the consummate members retreated. So, based on the tacit rules of the war, the managers didn’t make a move either.

Only the pre-transcendent batch is active at the moment.

They are challenging opponents one after the other killing them. They are on a roll to say the least. Watcher conveyed exactly that.

”Perfect then. Tell the army to retreat completely. I need the list of all the strongest pre-transcendent cultivators. Initial stage of course.”

The contact was cut before Watcher could reply.

Watcher wanted to ask about the standards to classify the strongest list. How many, the age, the records. He wanted to ask about them. But Shimmy was in too much of a hurry.

So, he had to take the matters into his own hands.

Watcher made the whole army retreat and then contacted the other consummate cultivators from various factions. He prepared the list, twenty members from each faction and sent it all to Shimmy.

”Okay, gather them all. We don’t have golden scrolls, but there is something else that we can use.”
