Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2441: Leadership change

Samʼs sudden change shifted the battle a bit.

The flames didnʼt care about precision. They just exploded every arrow that came in and Samʼs speed increased. His battle style became very similar to the time he fought with Imari. He created wide area attacks.

Arkivʼs mobility was restricted. Some times he couldnʼt even shoot an arrow, before Samʼs attack exploded it. He had to use those shockwave attacks to give himself some space. The sky above the city turned into a domain of flames and that was just the start.

Sam switched between elements and fought with Arkiv.

The battle was still intense, but after some time, the spectators felt like it was more like an exchange. Sam never moved for a killer move. He didnʼt use any of his signature moves that would send anyone to their graves.

No weird cards.

No sign of puppets.

They got a feeling that Sam was just playing along. Just when that thought too root in their minds, the situation changed.

A pack of cards came out of Samʼs hands and he threw the around Arkiv. Sam didnʼt activate them immediately. He swung his staff with wind element, making sure that they stayed afloat in the air. Arkiv tried to hit a few with his arrows, but Sam managed to dodge them.

The cards were kept afloat in the air.

”Here I come.”

He muttered slightly and a flame attack hit the closest card.

The resonance activated, the cards threw the attacks at Arkiv who got ready with his twisted arrows. He shot them up, creating an umbrella of attacks that created a formation in the sky, trying to block the attacks.

The formation created a dome that tried to blockade the attacks. However, the sheer volume of the attacks and their combined intensity destroyed the formation. Still, Arkiv managed to avoid the lethal dose.

At that moment, a small token on Arkivʼs hip vibrated.

Three multi-arrows got nocked on the bowstring. Energy channeled through his body. Sam took another pack of cards and this time. Both attacks clashed and the explosion was big enough to surround the whole city.

All the spectators ran away from the explosion.

As the vision cleared, Sam stood there, panting, looking a bit exhausted. At the same time, Arkiv stood on the other side looking equally battered.

The spectators were of course shocked. Because ever since Sam kept on using his tricks, this was the first time they had been countered. Twice and back to back at that. And it seemed like if properly countered, Sam actually felt some pushback.

However, the city was still ruined.

The group did come back to their senses faster and tried to jump Sam. But already had his preparations. Him and his beasts not only disappeared from the spot, a flag landed in the middle of the city out of nowhere.

The flag activated a formation.

It kicked everyone out in an instant. Sam escaped and the continent was taken back by him. The Hou Yi team is now struck in a dilemma. They didnʼt know if they should rebuild this base or if they should leave this place.

And it didnʼt take long for them to land on a decision. It wasnʼt the one they preferred.

The other teams on the continent moved in. They took over the cities that they couldnʼt focus on. More than eighty percent of their team was completely destroyed. They either died or went into a state worse than death.

They couldnʼt find a way out. Particularly, when a combined team of three academies surrounded them right after Sam left the battlefield.

Mirk who screwed up big time, managed to find himself useful here.

He negotiated a way out for them in exchange for giving away the rights to the planet. They could still try their hand on the other planets. But it wasnʼt likely. The academies in those planets are not going to let them in that easily.

They donʼt have enough gadgets to tricky trinkets like Sam did.

They couldnʼt fight it and left the realm. By the time they came out, they already got the news that Sam has arrived at the Gambler academy station. The news of their brutal defeat has spread like wildfire.

The only saving grace or silver lining was Arkivʼs tie in the last battle. He came the closest to contain Sam, even though they had to destroy the city in process.

They also got another news.

Sam is going to target every Hou Yi academyʼs second grade planet and realm from now and The even dared them to stop him.

The Hou Yi team went to talk with their elders and recounted their whole situation. And that conversation made Mirkʼs face uglier with every passing second. One particular statement from Niki made him feel the worst.

”Elders, I think you should give Arkiv the responsibility of leading the team to deal with Sam. Arkiv might not be on the same level as us in terms of cultivation or the raw power.

But he beat us all in the last realm in two aspects.

He managed to beat us in the technique. I hate to admit it. But he was the best archer in terms of pure technique. He was versatile and had the biggest chance dealing with Samʼs attacks.

The second is the strategy. He was the only one who managed to actually breakdown Samʼs strategy. We didnʼt know where he was going to attack, how he was going to do it. But Arkiv managed to figure both and managed to counter them.

If anything, we werenʼt able to support him to the fullest. We lost the battle to one guy, because he couldnʼt show off his potential to the fullest.”

Mirkʼs face was blacker than the coal. That was a straight threat to his leadership position and

he was about to speak up.

But another person beat him to it and gave a recount of Nikiʼs statement. They all basically agreed on Arkivʼs words.

The elders then decided to give him a chance.

”So, where do you think the next attack of Samʼs will be?”

”I need a list of teams that were deployed to the realms with all the details that you can give me.” Arkiv replied. The elders gave into the request immediately and gave him the required

details.

Arkiv looked through the details and said.

”This one. Since Sam challenged us and wants to make a show of it. He will go for the one with decent challenge. One that he will be proud of taking down. Just like our previous realm.

There he will follow a pattern of dealing with the weakest to strongest forces one after the

other.”

”Since you already figured out his pattern and intercepted him in the last realm, donʼt you think there is a chance that he might change his strategy?”

”I donʼt think so. Because from my observations... Sam doesnʼt actually calculate all of this. His mind, it just subconsciously knows everything. He just needs to know enough information about people and he can decide all of it.”

”You are kidding.” The elder was dumbfounded.

”No. I am sure, Sam got a chart similar to this one with all the details. The moment he processes this information, he figures out everything that he needs to attack.”

”Then that guy is more dangerous than we thought.

I am giving you a chance to prove yourself. The others testimonials are trustworthy, but I still

canʼt just give you everything. Prove it in this realm and I will give you more power and

authority than you can dream of.”

”You will be surprised.”

Arkiv left with the team. He had a wide grin on his face. The team members assumed, thatʼs because he got a chance to duke it out with Sam once again.

And he reinforced that thought with actions. He healed, gathered some new team members

and brought them all to the new realm. By the time, they entered there and reached the base of the Hou Yi team, they already got a news that Sam already destroyed one of the bases.

They immediately got to work.

Arkiv figured out the next spot of attack and the team went there to intercept. They arrived at the city and reinforced the defenses. They moved to the best of the ability and maximum

efficiency.

Once they are done with the new formations and stationing enough forces, they waited for

Sam to arrive.

Arkiv of course, didnʼt let everyone to the city out in the open. They all believed that Sam would scout the city beforehand. So, they disguised and worked on the city as if they were

mercenaries.

Arkiv and Sam both awaited that moment to attack the area. The same goes for the rest of the team. Its just that they have completely different ideal outcomes lined up for it.

At exactly three hours after that, by the time, the team got confident about the city, Sam

finally moved.

A spatial tear appeared over the city with beasts appearing out of it, following Sam.
