Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

2438  Arkivʼs Theory

Sam is followed by a huge ape type beast as they landed in the middle of the room.

He used spatial blink and disappeared from its line of the site. The black colored ape whose eyes had already been swollen and damaged, sniffed around. The members in the room didnʼt even know what was happening.

Before they could recover, something else happened.

Sam appeared out of nowhere and painted them with some weird paste. He didnʼt attack them directly, instead he went for the spots near them. The paste just happened to be the residual effect. But that was all he wanted.

The moment the first guy was marked, the ape immediately charged at him.

Meanwhile, the walls of the mansion were broken down. More and more Gigantic apes flooded in and their target was purely the ones tagged with that paste. Just like the main ape, the eyes of most of the apes were screwed.

They just relied purely on their scent and instinct.

Sam used the limitations of the beasts in terms of their spiritual sense to the full extent.

.

Thirty minutes later

The whole city was flattened. Sam and his beasts are looking down from the sky as the apes that won the battle were slowly leaving. In front of Sam was the leader of this small group hovering. His body was battered and he didnʼt have any strength left.

In fact, it was Samʼs spatial abilities that held him up.

”You… the reinforcements will sure come. You will be dead.” The leader said hatefully. He never wanted anything in his life as he wanted to kill Sam now.

”Please. Do you really think at our level, it will take thirty to forty minutes to cover this distance? They could have come in a couple of minutes if they could.”

The other party widened his eyes. Even he knew that it was the truth. And he was sure that he contacted them. Right when the chaos ensued, he took out the communication token and contact them.

”They donʼt know that you are being attacked. But I am sure, they have realized it by now. Its just a tad bit too late.”

Sam said with a smile.

The opponent felt dumbfounded.

”How..?”

”Oh, cause you guys are stupid. Who would link the main defense mechanism to communication mechanism? That was just plain idiotic. Even if you want to put an automated alert, you should never link them together like that.

Instead, you should use an independent trigger mechanis…

TSk… see what I am doing, I am explaining such a complex thing to a stupid like you. I wonʼt waste my time. I will be leaving.”

The opponent watched as Sam and his beasts left. He was a bit surprised.

ʼHe is really going to leave me like this?ʼ

He couldnʼt believe it. He even stood there for a couple of seconds before he slowly descended down. He just assumed that it was his lucky stars that allowed him such a privilege. However, the moment he had that hope.

*SWOOSH*

A flag flew out of nowhere. The flag pole penetrated his chest and planted him into the ground. With him as the base, the flag flapped proudly. And as it did, a formation dome appeared around the city.

A few minutes after Sam left, the Hou Yi team caught up.

And this time, they didnʼt even dare to breakdown the formation dome around the ruined city. The attempt on the previous city was too big of an attempt. They expected that Sam might have left behind a very dangerous surprise, linked to that formation.

What they didnʼt expect, in fact even their counterparts and leaders back at the main base didnʼt expect is that, this time… Sam didnʼt intend to take a break.

When the team arrived here, a space gate opened up in the next city from which the reinforcements were deployed. A swarm of hawks followed Sam into the city. He destroyed the formation and led them in.

Within another thirty minutes, the city was brought to its ruin.

This pattern continued throughout the day. One city after another fell. Sam just destroyed them and planted a flag with a formation surrounding the ruined city.

The Hou Yi felt headless. They couldnʼt understand what would Samʼs next target be. They donʼt know how he is going to attack and they donʼt know how to even ensure their formation wonʼt break with just one attack.

All they knew is that he was coming with a bunch of beasts trailing him behind.

Back at the main base.

Mirk, the leader of the Hou Yi team is currently looking through all the information that he had. He was trying to identify the patterns of the attacks.

Apart from the usage of the beasts, he couldnʼt find anything at all. He looked at his team, particularly at the strategists.

”Do you see anything?”

He asked them. They just shook their heads.

”Did you contact the team leaders? Did they find out anything?”

He asked another person who usually handles the communication between the teams.

”We did. But there were no answers, last time I checked.”

”I expected as much.” Mirk sighed in disappointment when they were informed of an incoming communication. A projection appeared in the middle of the room. Arkiv could be seen with a solemn expression.

”Arkiv? What is the matter?”

”I identified the pattern of his attacks. I think I know what the next target is going to be.”

Arkivʼs words made everyone go mute. They were shocked.

”What is that pattern?” Mirk asked.

”Weakness.”

”What?”

”Sam is following the weakness of our bases.”

”Are you calling your team members Weak?” Mirk said in a cold tone. It was his team after all. So, any insult to them felt like a slap in the face. Particularly, when he was still tender with the slaps Sam gave.

”I am not insulting you or the other members. Just hear me out a bit.

I think he is targeting the teams based on the overall weakness of the base. I believe the overall weakness might be the combined weaknesses of the mercenaries placed, the location of the team, the team members and the team leader.

However, you ignored one big factor here. She could never establish her position because she wasnʼt a good leader. She couldnʼt think from the perspective of the team.

The team… they were also rule followers because they are absolute push overs. They cannot operate without proper command.

From what the survivors of that place said, the battles of the city were very individualistic. There was not team work at play.

The Bison heard on the other hand is a team entity. It attacked them, but they didnʼt do much because their leader was occupied in a battle of her own without the thought of giving any command.

In the second city, that leader was very dependent and dependable candidate for the team. He was the one controlling the whole team full of superior egos. From the survivor reports, the leader was the first one to be targeted.

The leader died and things went chaotic.

The team members couldnʼt work together anymore and fucked up.

You can find similar patterns in other attacks as well.

As per the order…

If you breakdown each time like I did and assign some numerical values to rate the difficulty in terms of strategy to take them down, you will find out that Imari was indeed the least difficult one.

Once that happened, the variables changed because we deployed the members from other members. The equation changed, he calculated again and went after them.

And if my guess is right, the next attack will be on the Westlake city.”

Everyone stayed silent and Mirk chuckled out loud.

Arkiv frowned.

”Arkiv are you delusional? What do you mean by equation? What do you mean by variable change? Are you taking about constructing a formation or an inscription array? They are the warriors of the Hou Yi academy.

Can their strength and valor be boiled down to a bunch of calculations?

Are you questioning the strength of our team members or you questioning my judgement in assigning the teams as I did.”

Arkiv stayed silent and sighed.

”Mirk, I donʼt need to do either of them. But you should be doing both. All I mentioned were my observations.

If you think they are wrong… by all means. Please ignore what every I said and proceed.”

The communication was cut off. The discussion in the room continued.

Around fifteen minutes later, a message came.

”Mirk, the Westlake city has been attacked. The team couldnʼt hold back. Half the team including their leader are dead. They are not putting up a fight. They lost hope and are running back to the main base.

My new work, Countdown to Cataclysm is out. This time, I am doing everything right.

So, please check it out
